Weight Loss new problem trouble eating 1200 cals Aug 26 2007

I eat exactly 1200 calories a day. Sometimes a little under, but never more than 100 over.

For Breakfast I always have my Special K, and nonfat milk.

For lunch: tuna fish on whole wheat bread, or a chef salad, or french toast made with two peices of whole wheat bread, egg beaters, and low cal jam instead of high cal syrup.

Dinner usually consists of fish: Halibut, Salmon, Tuna, Talapia, or other kinds of seafood (scallops, shrimp). Also, some frozen or canned vegetables, and sometimes some fresh ones. I tend to stay away from pork, and red meats. Chicken is a pretty good choice too.

For snacks I have apples, a little low fat ice cream, maybe some canned corn, shitake mushrooms, and other things like that.

And when I find myself a little hungry still even after dinner or after I ahve exceeded my calorie allowance for the day, I will drink some hot no cal decaff tea sweetened with splenda, and that will fill me up.

By the way....you can always drink one or two high calorie drinks during the day instead of eating all of your calories.

Hope this helps you.

I can't say that I have this problem. I am a big boned, and tall woman (5'11"), and if I did not have 48 DDD(F) then I would look very....un-like myself. Yes, they do POP out of my bra's but I don't mind too much.

Weight Loss Losing weight while pregnant? Jun 14 2007

When I was pregnant, my doctor told me the best way to lose weight, or keep weight off was by eating less than I normally do, and letting your body take it out of your fat reserves. He did not tell me to starve myself.

I was eating about 2000 calories or more a day. He told me to cut down about 200-300 calories in what I would normally eat in a day, and it would NOT be harmful to the baby. But he also told me not to keep doing that once I had no more fat left on my body because it would start to come out of my organs since I would not have much muscle due to my pregnancy.

I think you should look up how many calories a pregnant woman should consume in one day and then bring this to the attention of your doctor, and ask if it is ok. I don't know if you are high risk, or what not.

Well thanks for the advice. My son is taking his second nap, so now I am stuffing my face with some strawberries and cool whip light instead of working out again. I'll keep it at 1500 a day and see how I feel, and I will talk to my doctor in August because he is in Anchorage, and I live in Barrow.

Thank you

WARNING

LIPOZENE ENLARGED MY HEART AND I AM CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH MAJOR HEALTH PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF IT.

I took Lipozene on new years day, and immediatley went into panic attacks. I did not know what they were at the time, so I went to the ER, and was told it's no big deal. All of the sudden I started having severe chest pain, palpatations, missed beats, extra beats, heart flutters, chest tightness, and trouble breathing. When I finally had an echo done, I found that my heart was enlarged. I called a lawyer but he said since I did not have a heart attack or stroke, that I had NO case.

So, how do I know Lipozene did this to me? Because I NEVER had any kind of heart problems before this, and they just happened to start after I took ONE dose of this awful drug. Also, I used to take yellow jackets a few years ago (for those who dont know what those are...they are pure ephedrine), and I ended up in the hospital because it make my heart race and made my breathing shallow.

When I was talking to my doctor about Lipozene and what it contained, I said that I got it because the bottle it said it DID NOT contain Ephedrine. My doctor told me that ALL diet pills contain ephedrine, but not legally enough to have to put it on the ingredient list; however, since this is the case the weight loss drug companies binded ephedrine with another kind of drug that IS legal which makes it all the more potent.

I HOPE everyone reads this, and takes heart....because it ALMOST took mine.

OK, I can tell you from personal experience...DONT! I was 19 years old, and weighed almost 300 lbs. I moved in with a family that was skinny and they were always commenting on how fat I was and how I ate too much. I just STOPPED EATING ALTOGETHER, and no one said ANYTHING. In about 6 months, I had NO fat on my body whatsoever because my body burned it all. I was getting NO nutrients or energy from food. I was constantly tired, and had no energy. I did consume calories, but they were all in soda, juices, and sports drinks.

I know this sounds nasty, but I literally stopped pooping because my body had no waste to dispose of. Trust me, you DONT want to try this.

Well, I have seen A LOT of skinny Inupiaq's (eskimo is like an insult), but they don't survive on native food. They will have some when someone catches a whale, but as far as eating it all the time....neh. So, you are right on that point. That is why there are always pictures or murals depicting chubby native peoples. Anyway, I thought that since other things that come from the ocean are so healthy to eat, that whales would fit into that category too.

And where in Alaska did you live, just out of curiosity?

RAZ:

If I had gone into the place you worked on that particular day you switched the decaff to regular coffee, and I ordered it...You would have had to call 911 because I would not be able to breathe. I am on beta- blockers from an enlarged heart, and I can not even have .1g of caffiene or else my heart will stop. Since you typed that, I am very hesitant about ordering anything decaff. From now on, I will make my own tea and coffee at home.

This is something I wrote in the Fitness forum, and just thought I would share it here as well:

GOD! You know, no one ever mentioned all the bad things that come with big boobs. Even the lady that said she was a G, didn't mention the back pain, and all the acheing. All of the guys oogle at your chest, and it makes you feel gross, and there is nothing you can do to hide them. The women always glare at you like your trying to take their boyfriends or husbands away, or like your just DYING to flash you boobs to them JUST because they are so big. ALSO, I can't sleep on my back because it feels like my boobs are crushing my rib cage and I can't breath properly. You can't jog/run, or do any kind of vigorous jumping activity unless you have the perfect sports bra because you might give yourself a black eye or your boob might pop out to say hello. It's not our fault if that happens. Seriously, we don't do it on purpose.

I had 36 C's when I was 12. Now I have 42 DDD's (F), and I'm 24. Well, now they are a little bigger because of my weight gain, which would explain why my bra's don't fit as well as they used to. My boobs have been shrinking too since I started to lose weight (thank god), and I can't wait until they fit right into my bra's again.

The reason they don't make pretty bra's for us big chested women is because we need all the support we can get. Women with considerably smaller breast's just need the support in the shoulder area where the straps are, but we need it in the shoulders AND the back. To be able to do that, the bra cup has to cover the entire breast...not just the bottom half.

And just for everyones information, I never got implants. I am either lucky, or cursed (depending on how you look at it). And yes, it is very hard to find bra's that fit, because they are all made for smaller breasted women.

And I was just wondering...anyone ever notice how with jeans, the bigger the waist, the shorter the pant leg? I mean, I'm big too, and I went to K-Mart to get a pair of jeans in size 16...I tried them on, and the bottom of the pant legs came up to the bottom of my knee. I am 5'11, and it irk's me that I have to go to special stores and buy clothes that cost 3 -4 times more than regularly just because of genes that I can not control. GRRRRRRRRRRRR BTW (This goes for bra's too. The big ones cost 4-5 times more)

Ok, now lets look at some of the good points about having big boobs. We don't need padded or push-up bra's. We ALWAYS have the best clevage. OK, I am sure there are other things, but I will need some help figuring them out. I hope this helps most people.
Fitness Does anyone have a husband that? Jun 07 2007

Hey. Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. My husband is KIND OF like that, but in a different way. He does not care if I work out, but I can not talk to anyone of go anywhere without him thinking I'm fooling around on him. Also, when I DO work out, he asks me who I'm getting fit for. I think he does that to try and get me to stop, but I wont let it stop me.

You know, exercising isnt only for losing weight...it's to prevent health problems like heart disease, and diabeties. Does he REALLY want to deprive you of trying to keep yourself healthy to be around for years to come and to spend your life with him? I think not.

I am 24, and my husband is 31. We are both around the same weight...250. The only difference is that after I had my son a year ago, I sky rocketed to 300 pounds. I have so far lost 50 lbs throught dieting and exercise. I also have an enlarged heart that I am taking medication for...and it is supposed to make me gain weight. So far, no such luck (fingers crossed). I am 5 foot 11 inches, so my ideal weight is somewhere around 185. I also have very large breasts which account for maybe 10-15 pounds of my weight. People always tell me (mostly its people who dont even know me) that 185 is still too heavy, and that I should lose more. Well, on the contrary; I am big boned, and if I were to drop down to 160, or even 170...I would be all skin and bones. Besides, I have a lot of muscle on my body.

Anyway, my husband is a different story. He does not want to exercise. I have tried and tried to get him to exercise, but the harder I try, the more he resits. I guess he is willing to make somewhat of an effort by eating healthy, but he also likes to eat a lot of junk food in between meals. He tries to feed me some of this junk food, but I have pretty good will power. His doctor suggested that he walk half an hour a day since he wont exercise, but I dont think he will actually do it. Any suggestions?
