Hi everyone--sounds like you're all doing well. I'm hanging in there but still not in the 170s.  Maybe soon though...

Nas--I love Lucky Brand jeans. They fit my body-style perfectly. I have a hard time finding jeans that fit b/c my hips are like 42" and my waist is about 28". TOTAL PEAR! ;)  I can squeeze  my butt into a 10 or 12, but most of the clothes in my closet are 8-10. That was 20 pounds ago!!

Anyway, just checking in. :)

Hey all - just checking in. I've been good about exercising but not great with my eating...I'm so undisciplined when there are sweets around, and it's so hard at the office b/c there is always a bday celebration with cake and/or early meetings with bagels/cream cheese, donuts, etc.  I try to think to myself that those do NOT contribute toward my long term goals, I snack on something healthy beforehand to make sure I'm not starving, etc., etc., but many times I *still* give in to the moment.

ARGH.  Hope everyone else is motivated and doing well!!  :)

Hello all-

Can I still join you? I'm in a few groups here, but I'd love to also join this one since I'm 45 and need to lose about 40 pounds. I like the idea of being accountable for a weigh in day. :)  It's sooooooo much harder to lose in the 40s...at least for me. I remember being younger and really believing it just had to do with being a lot less active when people would tell me this. Ah the wisdom that comes with aging! ;)

I am currently around 183. I put on 20 pound in what seems like overnight a couple years ago, and I am really committed to getting them off. Problem is they don't want to go!!

I'd love to eventually get into the 140s.

Nasuoni- hang in there. It sucks that your iPod broke, and so soon. Can you take it back/replace it?

Try to make your anger productive--exercise extra hard. I plan to do the same tonight.  I decided today that M&M's and Soft Batch Chocolate Chip cookies fit into MY calorie plan. That is true, but like you said, I could and should have had some smaller treat. This was definitely overkill. AND I drank extra calories last night, so I forced myself to join that March exercise challenge today. Plan to exercise 1250 minutes by the end of the month.

Haven't been on the scale but I'm sure it isn't down yet. I plan to be at 175 by the end of March...that is about 6 pounds.

Wish me luck!

LEO- good that you have really been able to maintain your "sickness" weight loss surge!

Lady- 183 is VERY close to 170s...at least that's what I keep telling myself. ;)

Lilsmiter- I can't even imagine. You are one Tough HOTTIE!

Kirie- I can get really obsessive about counting cals, good/bad foods, etc. I think it's good you're aware and taking mental breaks from it all when you need them.

Nasuoni- did you take the measurements? I have been trying to do it once a month or so and it does help when I see any difference there vs. the scale that doesn't like to make any hasty moves these days!  :)

I think I'm going to really focus on mostly fruits, veggies and lean meats this week.  I need a jumpstart!

Lilsmiter---I'm sorry if I offended you!!  :)  I didn't mean to "classify" you as a binger from a binge (or fast food OR dessert!!).  I guess I am meaning that I *know* I tend to be a binger, and I can understand the feelings before, during, and after them. :)  Again, nothing more was meant by that comment. I apologize.

Also I think you will like the treadmill at home, I love mine, and I tend to use it a lot because I can convince myself to do it even when I don't want to workout at all. I get on telling myself I'm "just walking not working out" -- then I end up doing an incline at some point during it or jogging a bit. With an eliptical, there's no kidding yourself into thinking you aren't working out! :)

Leo-- WOW!!  The 7's are something I can't wait to see again!!!  Good for you!

Hi Zulupomm,

Glad to see you back. I am also guilty of avoiding logging when I know I've been off track, but this group helps me to get back at it.

Leo- congrats on keeping off some (or most?) of the weight loss from being sick. :) It's not the way you'd choose to lose but you'll take it right? I would!

Lilsmiter- I'm a binger too...I've gone a week or so, day at a time right. I've also given myself a little room to have some chocolates or something when I want them, as long as I'm not eating the entire bag. :)

Anyway, I'm so happy - 182 today!!  Yea!!

Slowly but surely we will succeed!! My goal is to be in the 170s by March, 160s by end of April/Mayish, and 150s by July.  Ok, now that I've written them down so specifically maybe I'll do it!!  :)

Hi everyone,

I've had a bad week and I'm afraid to get on the scale. We had to put our dear rabbit down on Monday. He was 12 and had a wonderful life with us, and as weird as it must sound to those who have never had a domestic rabbit, he was a big part of our family. :(

He was very healthy until waking up with what seemed like a stroke, he could only move his little head.  Anyway, sorry to go on about it but I've not paid any attention to diet or working out. Even our cats miss him.  :(

Glad to see everyone is doing pretty well. It helps me to want to get back on track just reading your posts. Welcome kboerst !

I (personally) don't think it should ever be 'too late' to join these groups. We're all here to support each other right?  :)
Motivation Don't you just hate it when.... Feb 23 2008

I totally agree with this:

>>...hate it when I'm at the gym running on the treadmill (I would run outside but it is freezing cold where I live right now) and someone gets on the treadmill next to me (even though there are about 40 other empty treadmills nowhere near me)<<

...they don't even have to "smell" for it to annoy me. Why do that? At least move over a treadmill or two if there's all that room!

Even more annoying: The treadmills are against the windows in our club. It seems that every time I'm getting into my jog the employees decide to Windex the the windows in front of me or 'wipe down' the machines directly next to me!! Now I'm all for sanitation, but I find that *very* distracting, not to mention I'm choking on the chemical smells!

Hey everyone,

I had a very bad weekend of eating and having no control. My family was in and we had a birthday celebration complete with big gooey pieces of German Chocolate CAKE.  Ug.

Needless to say now that it is all over I am mad at my lack of focus...but tomorrow is a new beginning. Too bad I'll be beginning up 3 pounds. :/

AAAAAHHHH!!!

Speaking of chocolate I had such a binge last night!!  Valentine's Day chocolate heart boxes filled with assorted yummies are NOT YOUR FRIEND!!

I meant to have a piece or two, and I seriously had like 8 pieces. Once that was on the books I moved onto the other junk I've been avoiding, Fritos, chips and such. <sigh>

I'm not even logging it all b/c it would take sooo long. Chalking it up to a binge and moving on.

...I'm not weighing today either, it'll just set me in motion for another day of out-of-control eating.

Hope everyone did better than I did!!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!  Let's try to think of our goals and not have TOO much chocolate. ;)

I was so happy- down to 181 finally yesterday, then went out w/girlfriends last night and indulged in drinks and munchies...back to 183 this morning!  ARGH!  ;)

How's everyone else doing?
