one word SODIUM!.

more food usually equals more sodium.. check your sodium intake and the pounds will magically drop ;)

Yess official weigh in today!

I am 152 lbs.  grr... it sucks to see yourself 25 lbs heavier then you were lol.. but I'm gonna do it!

If everyone doesnt mind, can you guys do the weigh in format like this?

Hey everybody.  My apologizes for not updating much latley.  My eating disorder took a huge toll on my these past 3 weeks, and I've managed to jump up to 152 lbs.. :/ I promised my self for the last and final time to stop this.

I've been constantly neglecting this site because of the disorder, but I am back now.  With this friday's weigh in, I will update everything.

 

Glad to see everyone is doing good though!

Yes! Finally Edited the posts of the last two weigh ins :)

hmm starting next week, I'm going to post last weigh in and total weight lost so far on this challenge.

 

GREAT JOB EVERYBODY!...as for me? I've been binge free for 6 days so far.  That's the longest I've gone since summer back when i was 125 lbs. :)

Somewhat similar thing happened to me, but I only gained 3 lbs ish and was stuck on that forever. Looking back, I'm SURE it was my sodium intake. When some people increase theircal intake, sodium intake goes up to. your body might react to excess sodium and store all the extra water. so try reducing your sodium intake to under 2000ish, and drink some extra water.

yeah im extremely sorry for not getting the weighins in fromlast week.  I had finals so it was kind of hard.  Anyways finals are over now, and Ill add both weights from last and this week later today when everyone weighed in :)

CCs numbers are always off, and overestimated. For one hour inline-skating.. I'd estimate around 350-400 calories tops.

try edanames. (soybeans) they have 8 g of protein per half cup of beans(just the stuff inside though) and they're delicious! mushrooms have protein too.. fage 0% greek yogurt has 20 g of protein per 120 calories..

Wooh.  It's so hard for me at night, because I could eat loads of food and still not be satisfied ( due to my ex-late night bingeing galore).  I could eat an apple for breakfast, and lunch and feel full but dinner time it's really hard.  But i resisted once again..

on the weight loss update: i binged 5 out of the last 6 days so i'm really afraid to even get on the scale :(

I promised myself that today willl be a new beginning and the bingeing stops.  Of course I've done that a lot in the past so hopefully this time ill stick to it :/

height: 5'6

start weight: 145

current weight: 142.8

goal weight: 115-120

background: hmm i'm just a teen looking to lose weight.  I really love sports, and play for my high schools varsity volleyball basketball and soccer teams.  Other then that I have a real passion for makeup, and hopefully in the future i can do something with it as a side job.  Hmm what else, I was born in Armenia, and raised in Armenia/Russia and moved to america when i was about 8.  i was superskinny back then lol.  Now I'm just considered "athletic."

strengths: knowledge of how to lose weight, leadership, humour, trust :)

issues/baggage: the emotional eating definantley, "punish" myself a lot, and i could be stubborn and a perfectionist at times

goals: to get healthier and stop the emotional bingeing.

 actuallyyy....it's quite easy.  just gotta find how to work your way around the food.  i was at high sodium for about a month, which caused me to not lose a single pound.

 

 

watch out if you see that you're not losing anything, cut the sodium down. if you're not trying to lose, have good blood pressure(which you do), and drink plenty of water(which you say you do), then you`re fine :)

hun, the weight youve lost is probably just temporary weight.  it's called water weight.  eat up to 1200 calories a day, because thats at least what your body needs to function. trust me if you eat at least 1200 cal per day, you're body will lose fat instead of the muscle and water you're loosing right now.

Browneyes, you have you use the about.com version of cc rather then the classic version to quote people.  Go to cc.about.com. (this is how i think its done..never learned how to do it on the classic)

I admire your transparency. Continue to communicate with us on the board. As we all know I had a horrrific week and it took tears, reaching out, praying and everthing else I had to not binge. I pushed pass the pain. It was REALLY REALLY hard but because of YOU, yeah You and all the other members on this board, you each held my hand and my head up. I made it. Now that doesn't mean I ate heaIlthy...heck no...but I didn't binge. I told on myself. I asked for help. That's huge. So my two-cents keep talking to us.. trust us...we'll support ya. We got your back!!! Because of the support I received this week my down in the dumps of despair party only lasted for two days instead of two weeks. Big improvement. I could not have made it without you good kind people. I am back in stride again. I went to my network meetings, made new friends, got job interviews in the wings next week, even ate some good food and took a light walk. Hey it means so much just to know you have someone to talk with who understands. Anyways hang on keep talk'in and never give up.

 Wow.. you are truly an amazing person.  you just gave me all the inspiration i need.  keep your head up high i'm sure there will be other oppurtunities for you :) better ones..

 

i weighed in at 145.9 today.  I know its all the retention from the sodium and food that i ate, and that most of it will go away.  but still its not nice to see the scale high.  anyways ill update the first post later tonight, to remove some of the people that arnt posting at all, and add the weight!

are you getting enough sleep? that is also a factor in some cases.  what exactly is your sodium intake? even one day of going over the salt intake can cause water retention.  also..seems like you might be gaining some muscle mass!

Hmm if thats just an average day of the week for you, then id say you burn 2500 cal Easily per day.. maybe even more.  1400-1600 hundred looks good for a 1000 cal deficit per day equaling to about 2 lbs per week lost and 10 lbs per month.  But since you said you lost 4 lbs last month, that probably means that you burn more then 2500 cal and your deficit is too high.  Try upping your cals by 200-300 see if that works better.

 

btw im a soccer chick too, so high five to that!

just try to get any sort of exercise in your day. any.. even a brisk 10 minute walk will do. it's a great way to start the mornings, because then you have the whole day ahead of you. I'm so glad i started this challenge. it was really the motivator i need to stop the binge-eating. I have not binge-ate since last saturday. over-indulged, maybe yes, but its a whole step up from the binge-eating. I've been at or under my calorie-intake since last saturday. wooh. thank you guys!

Backtracking to about 6 months ago, i was OCD about calorie-counting. I wrote down everysingle thing i took in and would dream about the foods that i was going to prepare next day. My day was built aroudn the times i had to eat. It was pretty bad for about a month since I was determined to break out of the plateu. I promised myself I would never go back to being like that. Now, my plan is calorie-count 5 days a week, log in most of the things i eat. Saturdays and Sundays I'd just practice portion control. This has become easier for me because the 5 days i go to school, and am usually bored in class, so i log in my food using my home :D

But hey, if you believe you can eat healthy and exercise and lose weight.. go right ahead! just now that in the end, its the numbers that count =]

Sure it is.. it all depends on how you look at it.  If you've done good the whole week, a cheat day is good to get in a bit of the foods that you've missed out on.  Just make sure to be right around maitenence calories.
