| Maintaining | I can't maintain my weight without calories deficit, help !!! | Aug 15 2007 01:03 (UTC) |

| Thank you everyone so much for valuable advices! Now I realized I eat too much carbs, not enough drinking water, maybe not enough exercise (to burn the extra calories I added back) and too much calories consumption (I added not just...100 but 500 calories back in *^^* I admit I went a little crazy there) I probably did not log my food journal and did not burn all the calories I ate. I was just too happy to hit my goal and thought that adding 500 calories a day will be ok. (I just filled up my freezer with ice cream too! Though I could eat *normal* again) *Sigh* Hopefully, I can reboot myself and lose these 2 pounds away quick! Maybe I should keep going until I hit my next goal instead of maintaining. Eventhough I've been on a diet for only a few months, it was pretty tough for me (love foooood so much) and I was looking forward to the INDULGENT DAYS (maintenance time). |

| Good Morning :) Thank you so much for your inputs! I've lost 10 lbs over 2 months. My calorie intake per day was between 1000 to 1500. (up to 2000 on a CHEAT day). My diet composed of 70% carbs (mainly fruits and little bit of rice), some protein and some fat. According to the website, I normally burn away 1500/day. I'm 5"4' and my current weight 122 lbs. (Started off at 130 lbs in June and was down to 120 lbs) I also exercise 3-5 times per week. Once I started to maintain about over a week ago, I ate between 1500 to 2000 calories - nothing fancy, just more snacks (tripple the portion I used to) like a whole box of wheat crackers, bran cereals, soy milk, sugar free icecream, etc. Nothing NEW in my diet, just...MORE. Oh, I also stop drinking 64 oz water like I used to. I drink about 32 oz per day right now. I'm dying to ADD food like beef, cheese, fries, cinnamon rolls, cake, cookies back but now I'm not sure if I'm ready yet... I can't even go to RED LOBSTER to celebrate my goal like was planning to! Eventhough I ate a lot, I still counted my calories and make sure that I burned away all of calories I consumed. (I do cardio on treadmill and some aerobics, burn between 300 to 500 calories) I've gained 2 lbs :( in one week despite the effort of exercising. My final goal is to come down to 110 lbs by end of the year but I would like to start maintaining for a month. |

| Morning class :(
I'm so unmotivated today... I've gained some weight back after hitting my first 10 lbs lost goal. I thought I could have maintained but I was wrong. I don't think I can increase my calories intake and maintain... it's so sad. I'm looking forward to EAT MORE for celebration before starting the next 10 lbs goal... I'm a little tired now. I am scared that I have to keep doing "calories deficit" my whole life! (T_T) |

| nikki, jewelsmcblah: You two are so close to your goal! Yaay! I think we'll hear good news next week, eh? Jewel, if you push it hard, I believe you can lose 2 lbs in one week but of course you want to do it at your own pace and comfort! So, maybe week and a half or two week wouldn't be too bad ;) So, your goal was yesterday, did you make it? I almost hit my goal this morning too! Last week I was about 0.8 lbs away but then I gained almost 2 lbas back. (Me, food addict !!!) This morning, I'm back to 120.3 which means I'm 0.3 away from 120 lbs goal! I weight myself in the morning though so I usually put back 2-3 lbs by night time. I just hope by Monday Morning, when I step on the scale, I'll see 120.0 or 119.9 or something, teehee. Good luck to everyone!!! Happy Friday!!! Have a great weekend!!! |

| Fitness | Losing from Treadmill ?!?!? | Aug 02 2007 12:59 (UTC) |

| I did. For a couple of month, the only exercise I've done 3 - 4 times a week is walking on a treadmill for 2 - 3 miles/day. Not only I've lost weight, my thighs are getting slimmer (could be from walking at high incline, I usually walk 3.5MPH at 9% incline) I count calories but eat quite normal.
Now I started to add some weight lifting and aerobics but the easiest and most favorite exercise is still walking on that old treadmill :) |

| One Summer, the Entire Summer... I commuted to work without A/C and all windows shut sealed. My commute back then was about 3 hours/day. No sweat in the morning but in the afternoon on a trip back home, I sweat like a crazy! It's like sitting in a SAUNA MOBILE for 2 hours/day. I saved money and I lost a lot of ... water. I didn't lose weight :P :) | |||

| Same problem here. Starting to drink 6-8 glasses of water two months ago and have been running to the restroom at frequent limit of 10 times per hour. I go to bed quite late (1am) so that help not waking up constantly at night. When I'm in the office, I don't drink at all because it's so annoying to get up from my desk every 5-10 minutes. I usually drink all water I need for the day between 6 to midnight. | |||

| Inspiring story! Thanks for sharing :) Something I can actually related, my life had been like that too. (30 lbs lighter prior to getting married) My husband is almost double my weight and he's only 2-3 inches taller :( We ate sloppy and sit all day. I've been begging him to get us mountain bikes so we can go have a run ride together (I used to ride a bike everyday, 2-3 hrs a day for several years) but it's not happening yet. He doesn't even like walking for longer than a mile (T_T)
Anyway, I'm doing my own thing. Eat my own food (because I'm counting calories) and exercise by myself (using treadmill in the basement). I've been doing this for 2 months and have lost a few inches and pounds. NOW...my husband decided to join me. He counts calories and try to go to gym now :) My next goal is to get both of us to play sport! I love biking and always want to try tennis too! Keep writing! It's fun and motivated :) |

My face is chubby and it stays that way since the day I was born unfortunately (T_T) Not sure if there's anything I can do about it :( My tummy is also stubborn! |

For me, I "HIT MY 120 lbs GOAL" this morning. Hahaha...I'm just kidding :P Well, the thing is I didn't have much to eat for dinner last night and when I woke up today...I've LOST "2.4" lbs overnight. (from 123.2 to 120.8) Well, it happened before, I normally gain 2-5 lbs back during the day. It's excited to see "120.x" on the scale this morning though ;) ejoy, thank's for the Motivation Tips of the week !!! ^_^ |

| Good Morning everyone (^^)/
Hope you all had a great week! (especially ejoy who was in New Orleans and about to go on a cruise!) I had a great week (with food) ^^; I thought I wouldn't lose any pound (or gain some) for sure because I increased my calories intake (eat out a few times) Luckily, I managed to lose another pound. Possibly because I tried hardest to stay active and exercise! I'm 3 lbs away from the first 10lbs goal now. 3 lbs !!! Make me want to go crazy and lose them all in one week, lol :) Once my first goal hit, I want to maintain for a few weeks then hop right on to another 10 lbs goal. If I don't do too badly, I should managed to be at 110 before Thanksgiving ;) |

| Weight Loss | Weight Loss Jealousy.. Anyone Else? | Jul 18 2007 15:31 (UTC) |

| Not weight loss jealousy but I can relate ... the whole ATTITUDE thing... My family...old school Asians. Always yell at me for being on a diet, cutting fat, eating healthy. They eat like they're on a cruise ship all year round (LOTS OF FOOD!) and when I refuse to eat certain things I consider not so healthy, they will complain and complain and complain and complain! They keep asking me to STOP dieting eventhough I told them that I'm not only doing this to lose weight but also for a better health! Seeing me thinner make them worry (And...I'm not *thin* yet, just ... thinner) Sometime, food is just overated in some families. They think we're born to eat and enjoy food! (-_-' |

| Hello Everyone :) Happy Monday Morning to all ^_^
I'm going through TOM TOM right now and I've this serious cramp condition (along with anemic). I am unable to exercise or eat properly for 3 days now :( I can't even get on a scale because my weight fructuate so much. Tamji hang in there :( I've not lose any for 2 weeks now too. I'm 4-5 lbs away from my first 10 lbs loss goal and another 10 lbs left. I don't think I hit plateau yet but I have not been able to maintain my calories deficit lately... |

| Hello everyone :) Happy Friday to all !!!
This past week has been difficult for me in term of losing weight. Last week I've gained "1" lb from cheating way too many days. Afterward, if felt terrible so I added weight training to my cardio exercise. The more I work out, the more I feel hungry and the more I eat unfortunately. So as of today, I'm still NOT losing any weight !!! Grrr...r One good thing is since I work out more, I feel like my metabolism is kicking off (hence, eat more). I also hope I build some muscle (hence, no weight loss) I'm 5 lbs away from the first 10 lbs goal and 15 lbs away from my ultimate goal. I want to get it all done by end of October !!! Tribegirl: me too, fighting for every ounce! I record my weight with decimal points :P :) I have 5 lbs to go and I don't know if I'll make it by month end *sob* kelbian: thanks for the tips!!! good luck with the move, i know it can be stressfull and take away focus but I am cheering for ya! xD ejoy: those wrist bands I showed you were awful !!! I used it for a couple days and I'm going to return them. The finger lock fuction is BAD! it HURTS >_< Don't buy them. If you want weight bands, look for other kinds ;) |

| Yes :) Sound like your metabolism is goooood! I just started to feel VERY hungry in the morning TODAY! I've been adding some weight training to my workout for the past week and I feel like I'm building muscle and boosting my metabolism! I also have been eating more calories (Up from 1000-1200/day to 1300/1500/day).
I have been feeling hungry in the morning for the past couple of days but when I'm in the office I couldn't eat large breakfast (can't find time to eat and don't want to eat a bagel from the cafe) Today I'm working at home and since 8AM, all I could think of was "FOOOOD!" I baked Banana Muffin and had TWO of those (330 calories) I made myself a 1 slice Turkey Sandwich - 1 slice bread, 1 slice turkey (160 calories) 1 cup of Cappucino, 1% Milk (50 calories) 1 Banana Bread, Leftover from last week, last piece left in the fridge. I ate it because I couldn't wait for the muffins to baked, hahaha... (120 calories) TOTAL ate for Breakfast today: 660 calories And I almost ate a Luna Bar (it was sitting on my desk) a while ago! Geez, talking about HUNGER in the morning :D It's 11:30AM now and I'm still FULL ... I think I overate my breakfast :~ not good! |

I'm getting back to the program today (in about an hour actually :) and I'll definitely try to do streches first !!! |

| Hello Everyone (^_^)/
Hi Peggy :) I'm not sure how the website and forum works. I have never got a notification before :( Speaking of "Cellulite" ... I tried the NEVEA Cellulite Patches and it didn't work. The patches didn't work, they fell OFF all the time! Somebody told me that the "CREAM" version works better. I think I might try it to help speeding the result (on top of dieting and exercise) I'm still into the "weight" thing and just bought a pair of Weight Bands for my wrists. I started with 4 lbs band and wear them while playing Video game (Wii Tennis) and running on a treadmill. They hurts my fingers though (the bands). I might get a pair of ankle weights next ;) I also updated my "Things to do after I reach my goal" to include "GOING on a CRUISE!" (^_~) |

| Hi All (^_^)/
Since I started my first SI6 (Start it up) last week, my lower body got so sore that I couldn't push the play button again *sigh* I know I know...I'm a loser (T_T) I thought the program was pretty easy to follow but gosh, the result was intense! (I also increased my activity on a treadmill the same day, so both SI6 and Treadmill killed my legs) I feel much better today. I can walk without limping around now and I can't wait to see Debbie's pretty face again ;) |
