Id assume you will burn yourself out on grapes long before u start noticing any changes. Especially if u are eating that much daily!

Maybe try splitting the grapes into serving size baggies that way you dont mindlessly munch.

I drink organic milk. Usually skim or 1%. It doesnt really cost me much more than regular milk. I usually cant go thru an entire gallon of milk without it going bad so I instead get the half gallon of organic. (both are about 3.50)

I only do organic milk and a few organic veggies. Only where I can taste a difference. OMG organic carrots... to die for they are so delicious and sweet compared to regular ones.

How about the frozen lean cusine or smart ones? They're pretty good u just need to watch the sodium content.

Cut the ramen immediately. They are BAD BAD BAD for you. Empty calories and extremely high in sodium. Were talking enough sodium for the entire day!!!

Fitness Question on new Personal Trainer Oct 09 2009

I have spoke to the trainer. Maybe I didnt phrase my question to the forum properly. My concern is not about being sore. From what I understand it is good to be sore for a few days after a work out shows that u had a good workout. And I am not experiencing any pain.

I was looking for an opinion from the forum on which was better results wise. With the last trainer I was training 2x a week and attending a body works class 2x a week in addition to kickboxing class and step classes. I averaged 5 classes a week in addition to the two training sessions plus maybe an hour of cardio. The classes are more intense cardio workout.

With the new guy I am doing the same amount of cardio and spending the same amount of time in the gym but too sore to do any of the body works classes or step. I spend more time doing ellipitcal or treadmill.

Is it better to have more intense weight lifting and less intense cardio? Or can I expect to see similar results from more the opposite?

I gotta get back to the states and look at my training book for weight specifics. Im out of the country on vacation this week. But its 3 sets of 15 weighted hack squats, leg press, one leg weighted lunges, and leg curls. We do supersets more reps lighter weights.

My last trainer did not do supersets and focused more walking weighted lunges, weighted step ups, lying hamstring curls ect. There were rest periods between each set. Also, my last trainer was a lot more chattty.

Its general muscle stiffness/soreness. Occasionally after a leg workout I'll feel nautious. Althought, Im not concerned about him pushing me too hard. Im mainly concerned with being to sore to able to participate in the group cardio classes. I burn way more calories in those classes than I do using the elliptical or treadmill for an hour.

It sounds like he has been very clear about not ever wanting to get married again. Either accept it or move on to someone who will.

Crank the incline on the treadmill up to the max. Even if your at a slow pace to read it'll burn more calories and get u a lil short of breath.

Coffee is a natural anti-depressant. It lowers your risk of parkinsons disease and has more antioxidants than green tea. Its a diuretic and a stimulant. Coffee is good to drink pre-workout because it'll help u work out longer and burn calories quicker. Just try to drink it in moderation.... and definately not as a meal replacement.

If u have a coffee or espresso machine at home u can easily make something lower in calories with just as much bang.

I freeze coffee, just regular old coffee in ice cube trays then blend those with some milk and add a few packets of splenda.

Or brew up a shot or two of espresso pour over ice and add some milk.
