I am 5'7.5'' and 136 lbs.  I have bounced around this year from 133 and am now at my highest this year and it is freaking me out.  I really want to get down to my lowest weight of 125, when I felt the best about myself.

I need any encouragement I can get, I can't run because my my knee (torn miniscus and tendonitis) so any recommendations of low impact high energy burning exercises are more than welcome!

I do this all the time and I have no idea why.  I think I get the mentality that hey I look good I might as well reward myself, then the next thing I know I am back to square one trying to lose the weight again.

One thing I have  started to do is to constantly be drinking.  Whether it is water, crystal light or diet coke (for the cafeine boost) it has really helped to taper off my appetite.

I agree about Yasmin, it is the only one that works for me too.  When I went on Ovcon35, I gained 10 lbs in two weeks and got the worst migraines.  Then I switched back to Yasmin and lost it all.  I will never switch again.

I have been working out for a while and wanted to start toning my stomach.  I have been doing crunches (with and without a yoga ball), leg lifts and the bicycle crunch is great for the sides.

Their is a position in yoga called the plant position where you lay on your tummy then you pick yourself up by your toes and elbow (palms on the ground) and hold for 60 seconds.  Make sure you back is flat and your bum is not sticking up.  BRUTAL, but worth it.

I have found a great way to warn others of bad bed side manner is to rate the physician.  There are many websites were you can write a review (just like you would a hotel) about your experiences.

I just tried this new drink and I am smitten.  It is call Zola Acai.  I have always loved Acai (great energy boost) but what I also found out is that it is also a great appetite suppresant.  You can find it in the fruit section or you can buy it online.

I also started to always have a water bottle on my desk with a straw in it at all times.  For some reason with the straw I drink so much.

Another trick is to add a small handfull of grapenuts into your fat free yogurt.  It fills you up faster and keeps the cravings at bay for hours.
Health & Support Do I have some kind of Social Anxiety Disorder? Jun 26 2007

I don't think you have social anxiety disorder (but I am not doctor).  You sound like you are just shy.  Most people who have SAD have physical side effects when they around other people, like not being able to catch your breath, rapid heart rate, dizziness ect.

I think as I get older I have become more shy.  I think in high school you are use to seeing people that you have grown up with on a daily basis, but when you go to college it takes you out of your comfort zone.

I never thought sizes would be this crazy and across the board.  I think it all depends on bone structure, muscle tone and weight.  I have a small bone structure use to be a size 6, but now that I have been working out and toning more, I am now a 4.

I love eating chicken salad (its a southern thing), I make it with a boneless skinless chicken breast (140kcal), 2 table spoons fat free sour cream (29 kcals), fat free mayonaise (50kcal), shred the chicken so it is really fine, then add wet ingredients.  Add 1/2 cup red grapes (31kcal), and season to taste.  (Try dillweed, cayan pepper, salt and pepper).  Great on whole wheat and water crackers.

Total kcal: 250 kcal and really really filling!

Also try this high protein tuna.

Bumble Bee Tuna in water 60kcal per serving, and Newman's Own Low Fat Balsamic Vinaigrette 40kcal per serving.  Great on crackers or to just eat out of the bowl!

Total kcal: 100kcal.
Weight Loss Weight 120-145: you wanna lose weight or you wanna get smaller? Jun 22 2007

I want to lose weight and get smaller.  I am 5'7.5'' and 135, and want to be down to 125.  I am sorry, but I guess this is my vain side coming out but I want to be just as small as my sister in laws.  They are both 100 and 115, I don't want to be the chubby one.  I would also like to be a size 2.  I am a size 4 right now and sometimes they are tighter than I would like.  I am always happier with my body when I see that smaller number and when I fit in a smaller size.

One great way to get of it is to tone it doing Yoga or Pilates.  One of my favorite exercises is to lay on my stomach and lift one leg and the opposite arm up, hold for 10 seconds and alternate.  Once you strengthen your core it will help get rid of the excess fat.

I am a little over 5'7'' and weigh 135, for some reason lately I have been gaining weight and extremely tired.  I started back at the gym two weeks ago and joined cc so I can hit my goal of 130, my pre-marriage weight.  I hope to be down to 125 by Christmas.  Any words of encouragement to resist temptation while at the office, I am all ears!
