I agree with Jules, You really need to wait a few months before approaching him.

I'm just curious why did you say you were over 30 in this thread though: http://caloriecount.about.com/miss-australia- stephanie-naumoska-ft136735 if your in 12th grade? If you start a realationship with him REALLY need to start it being HONEST with him and yourself.

Once I was staying in the Smokey's in a hotel on a creek. My middle daughter who was three at the time and I were sitting outside and she was staring at the creek. I asked her what she saw and she turned around and told me she was looking for mermaids.

The other day we were eating at BK (yes I know) and my husband went to get the food. I asked my not yet 2 year old where daddy went. She turned around and couldn't see him because he was behind something and she turned to me raised her hands like she was saying don't know and said "hidding".

Magaroonie how terrible! I swear I go through the same thing every morning on my walk to work. I have the option of either walking past McDonalds or the bakery plant (I forget which one) This morning the whole area smelled like Maple Syrup and I wanted pancakes so bad.

I was starting to freak out the past few days. I was weighing close to 158 again but this morning I was down below 156 so I don't know why my body just acts crazy. I have been working on my arms so maybe the extra weight lifting just is giving me wack results.

Uhhh as someone that rented a lovely appartment on the beach for a number or years where is this "hood"? I'm glad your trainer stuck up for you but your telling of the story is way off. One of the things I loved about that area is the people actually take advantage of a beautiful place and USE the beach and everything it has to offer. Anyone that has ever lived there or even visited knows the amount of people that you encountered at this time of year on that beach and how silly it is that you would expect to see an "ass-whupping" even if you just mentioned it as a joke.

My top excuse is my three girls:

~ They left food on their plate and I don't want to waste it but yet also don't want to be the "clean your plate" mom and possibly give my girls eating issues.

~ They go to day care before school, then go to school and then the after school program. What kind of mom am I to yet again put them in the childcare at the gym while I selfishly work out?

~ I don't want my girls to see me on a diet. I don't want them to feel like they aren't fine just the way they are.

Strategies:

1.) I just have to get over my throwing food away issues. I know there are people less fortunate than myself and it is a waste of money. But those extra few bites of Mac and Cheese per child are not doing my body any good. I need to just change my attitude and say if they ate it, it wouldn't be mine to eat anyway. So either way in their tummies or in the trashcan isn't any different to me. (Gosh I sound so self centered!)

2.) I made a deal with the older two that we would work out on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. (Tuesday and Sunday afternoon they are with their dad.) That way it's only one day from them I'm taking of their time relaxing after school.

3.) This whole attitude of mine changed yesterday. Over the weekend I bought myself a workout bench and my oldest saw it yesterday afternoon. She asked a ton of questions about where it came from, who bought it, etc. Finally she asked me if I was on a diet and I answered her that I was watching my weight and wanted to build muscle in my arms. She said good cause you need to loose weight. I didn't have a problem with her comment (seriously I don't I'm 156 lb at 4'11 that doesn't take a PhD to figure that one out) but it did change my attitude about them seeing me on a diet. Is it better that they understand I have a problem and solved it and HOW I solved it or is it better for them to go through life oblivious.

Alex: The pasta thing is a great idea and it works. I make a box at a time and just keep it in the fridge for the kids when they get hungry. It saves time and there is no waste!

Oakmommy that's a great starte! Keep up the good work!

Yeroc I hope you had fun on your trip! 2lbs isn't that much, watching what you eat and getting to excersie while on vacation is VERY hard.

Plan

~ Give up sweet tea or at least only have one glass at dinnertime. (GOOD GRIEF why does the stuff have to be everywhere and taste so good in the summertime.)

~ Start back going to the gym. It's way to hot to be outside here and the kids are in school so I planning to go tomorrow, Friday and Sunday.

~ I have my meal plan for the week outlined in a notebook that way I don't have to think about what I am having, I just look at the notebook and get it out of the fridge.

~ Get through BBQ tonight without making a pig of myself. Keep telling myself chicken chicken chicken no ribs.

Sarah less beer! You go girl, you are stronger than I am.

Lisalac what about a walk at lunch time? I have three kids and used to work long hrs (around 48 -72 per week) so I understand the situation. Remember to always take your lunch break.

Yeroc good luck at the gym you will be under 200 in no time! Keep up the good work!

Yeroc you are so correct in substituting fries for the veggies. Those little differences add up fast when counting calories.

Leanne congrats on getting so close to your goal! We will try to keep you going so that you will be there but the end of October.

Saxjat, I've been counting for a year now. I am not trying to lose fast, when I set out to lose weight it was to be healthy about it. I would rather lose gradually than lose a ton then gain it back plus some. I am with you about the exercise. I took the summer off because it is just way to hot here, but with the kids starting school on Monday I hope I will be able to make more of an effort to get to the gym.

Aww don't worry about eating out so much oakmommy. I started this journey at almost 200 lbs and I still eat out a lot. It's all about making the right choices. I know it's a struggle though. Monday I am taking my mom out for BBQ as a thank you to her. Sigh I hear those ribs calling my name already!

Alexanderrob I ended up doing the same thing losing some. When I posted I was 158 this morning I was 155. Oh well.....

I'm sorry to hear about your car. If you are seriously looking at the Yaris. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take the Hyundai Elantra for a test drive. I have the new body style and have had it for a year this month. It's one of the top three rated cars for the 2008 season from consumer reports. I get (this is what I actually get not off the sticker) 31 city and 35- 38 on the highway MPG. (Depends on how you drive). I seriously fill up twice a month and it cost me under $50 to fill the tank. But the catch is that you can get a really nicely equiped GLS package new for less than the Yaris. Mine is a Limited which they don't make anymore, but it has been renamed to the SE and cost me $17,800 and it has EVERYTHING in it from leather heated seats to, anti lock brakes, to XM/6 CD changer with ipod hookup, to steering wheel mounted controlls, to more air bags than I can count, and a host of other options. And I fit three kids in the back seat. (Granted I am short, but my 8 way adjustable seats and telescopic steering wheel make up for that!) My husband and I seriously looked at the new Corolla, Yaris and Civic and hands down this was the best buy for the money. (And my husband SOLD Toyota's for years and even drives a Lexus.) Take it for a spin, the dealership in my town can NOT keep them on the lot. (And we are there a bunch because my husband is debating turning in his Lexus for the new Genisis.) Good Luck!

Th Dr. Should NOT have told her that. One Syphillis can lie dormant for years before it is detected and Vaginitis is not necessarily an STD. It is just an infection and can be caused by many things other than having an STD, such as hormones, a bacteria infection, from tampons or diabetes among other things. He might not have cheated on her. Have her do some research before confronting him.

I see your point and yes in a perfect world it shouldn’t matter: But I am sorry, I disagree that the type of relationship is not an issue. A lesbian/bi relationship is not the same as a heterosexual relationship purely on the reaction it gets from society. Just like a white woman being married to white man/ vs being married to a black man. (Or any other combination one can think of) The relationships are completely different. (I should know I’ve been married to both) With the information provided more accurate advice can be given. Your own reluctance to admitting your sexuality to us proves that point. (Not saying you’re not proud) Just for arguments sake she might not be 100% behind her own sexuality and that could be the sole reason for causing her to not respond to you in the bedroom. This could be the case if she is bi. Or she might not be comfortable in the fact that she is a lesbian because of the reaction of our society. Etc. I’m not trying to FOCUS on these being the reasons behind her lack of desire I’m just trying to prove a point that the type of relationship does differ. I wish you nothing but luck.

AND really for goodness sake....what does that matter

Obviously it does matter, look at the confusion that it has caused.  You can't ask for advice on a message board and leave out major details! People can't give you advice especially on relationships if they don't even know the type of relationship that exists.

And to answer your original question. Cheating is cheating. Don't do it unless you want her to return the favor. Think how that would feel if she did it to you. Since you don't want an all or nothing response, there are porn and toys to take care of the sexual side that is missing, but nothing can replace the emotional side. (I suggest avoiding this http://www.calorie-count.com/forums/post/1088 59.html shop in Indiana though.)

Sigh.... your 14 inches taller than me and 17 inches taller than my mom! I mean I'm a girl but 6 foot is a GREAT heigth for a guy. Your family is just messing with you. You don't have to "look up to" someone one inch taller than you. Now my partner at work I can look in the eye and he's a guy! He would have to look up to you. ;-)

Three moments come to mind:

1.) My X husband asking my Dr. when I was 8 months pregnent with our second if she could give me a C-section instead of let me have the baby normally, because he didn't enjoy sex with me after I had our first. (I never thought you could pin point the exact moment that you fall out of love with someone, but it can happen.)

2.) The ultrasound tech telling everyone that she needed quiet when she spotted something wrong with the baby. Everyone (husband, mom and two daughters) was in the room to find out the gender and we were all happy and I will never forget her saying that because the whole mood changed instantly.

3.) My current husband asking me to marry him out of the blue. I swear I was the happiest woman alive!

Well the closest I get to alone is the kids asleep and the husband at work. But when that rarely happens I break out the wine and kick some Horde booty on the battlegrounds on WoW. (Yes I am a  nerd!) Naked WoW would be nice but my youngest still gets up in the middle of the night due to her being uncomfortable sleeping on her back so clothing is a must. LOL!

The Lounge Avoiding Older Women Jun 20 2008
17:25 (UTC)

I don't think that you should try to AVOID older women I think you need to adapt a different attitude. Story to illustrate my point:

I was in a store with my husband shortly after we had gotten married. I started getting "talked too" by another man and I was polite and told him I was married. My husband was standing there and I was embarrassed and hoped he didn't get mad. As the other man was leaving I turned to my husband and apologized and he said: "Why would I mind! I'm happy to be married to woman who is attractive, I take it as a compliment."

Summery: Adapt the attitude that you become happy that you are attractive enough physically and emotionally that the opposite sex wants you (Disclaimer: this older woman is not coming on to you! LOL!) and firmly but nicely just tell them your not available. Leave it at that, it doesn't mean you are taken by another woman but that you aren't available to them and they don't need to know any further information.

Good Luck

I have to stick up for WoW also. I play and my husband and I are all over each other almost daily. (No he doesn't play WoW)

It sounds to me that you are being very indirect with him. Examples are disconnecting the computer and romantic dinners (men don't get romance). Men need to be knocked on the floor and told point blank what you want. No BS'ing around. If want him you tell him it's on tonight and if he wants to join in on the action then to be in the bedroom at 9:00pm SHARP!!! And if he doesn't show up at 9:00pm then you might need to rethink your relationship. I'm sorry to say it but it is possible that you guys don't match.  I'm not saying to leave him, but you might need to rethink if this life with him is what you want for the rest of your life because he isn't going to change. (Sorry to be so blunt)

Oh and I have never met a man that appreciated housework. They just don't. Either they don't notice/care or you don't do enough.

Good Luck

It is very dangerous to answer this way to a person that most likely is looking for a free non-guilty way out from having to eat 1,200.

This is NOT true I am not looking for a non-guilty way out of having to eat 1,200 calories. Actually I eat 1800 a day! My questions is purely for information sake only, like I stated.

I just feel that this 1200 calorie standard is flawed and that heigth should be considered when people give advice on this website. No matter how I put my current weight and goal weight into the calculations on this site my calorie intake should be 1200 calories no more no less. Even if I put a goal weight of 15 lbs to be lost in 2 years! Obviously if this is the case there is a flaw in the advice given to taller people. That's my point.
