Oh gosh, sorry guys- i didnt weigh in last week. I almost gave up all together, I was totally out of control and felt myself spiraling. But finally I got a grip and I'm 2 pounds down so im BACK ON TRACK! :) My only problem is that I feel like I have no time to go to the gym.. I work so much that when I'm home I just want to relax and spend time with the boyfriend but I know exercise is key for me. damnit!

Hey blue team,

i lost 2 pounds this week, thank god (had a bit of a rough weekend) I'm going to try and be very strict with myself this week, another 2 pounds will land me at 135 and I will have officially lost 15 pounds with 15 to go! (HALF) so i would looovee to hit that for next weeks weigh in.

I hope everyone has a good week, we can pull into first place if we all try reeaally hard!!

*for anyone who likes egg sandwiches and misses them.. i've been making the following and it really hits the spot: 100 calories thomas english muffin, 40 calorie graden veggie egg beaters, 1 slice of cheese for 50, and 10 cals of ketchup. 200 measly calories for a cheesy delicious breakfast sandwich! LOL just a thought*

Hey blue!

I went on a 20 mile bike ride yesterday (much against my will... 20 is a little much lol) anyway, I got home and pretty sure I was severely dehydrated. It was pretty bad. I was glad I did the exercise, but I was wondering, could I be retaining water because of it? I weighed in a pound HEAVIER this morning than yesterday! After a ridiculous work out!!!

Anyway, hows everyone else doing?

when ive screwed my calories for the day and dinner hasn't hit yet,  i make a gourmet salad. Lettuce, cukes, onions, cherry tomatos, black olives... then i get some turkey meat from the deli, (2 shredded slices will do, only about 75 calories) and then instead of dressing, i toss it with the follwing: (a smidge of olive oil *optional* vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. My grandma always made her salads like this, and as simple as it sounds, it tastes clean light and delicious. I put everything in a bowl with a cover and shake is reeaaaal good. You;ve got a salad for about 150-175 calories!

I guess!! i  was just so unmotivated to begin with ahah, and the only thing keeping me going was thinking, at least this is helping and making some kind of difference.

I wish I was down to 125!! 120 is my goal and I weighed in this morning at 139 (which was excited because I haven't seen the 130's in a long time lol)

I guess I just need to GO! lol I mean, I am payin for the damn membership.

- to lose enough weight in my chest to be able to run and not have it hurt.

-to actually enjoy shopping for clothes and not dread formal occasions

-to not have to yank my jeans up and over my gut to try and tuck it in!

-to feel confident walking in public and not always feel like people are silently judging me.

-to enjoy my twenties because I dont want to look back one day and see a self-concious chubby ghost of a woman.

a half inch off your waist is GREAT whether the scale says anything changed or not, so great job! This morning I broke into the 130's (139 but nontheless!) for the first time since I was in 9th grade. SO excited  & so glad you guys are with me. Now if I didn't have that darn wedding on saturday, tempting me with free drinks and ridiculous amounts of food!  :x

Sounds like there's a few fellow wedding-goers this weekend on team blue. WELL I feel like I need to start preparing for NOT binging on saturday now.  Whats worse than a free endless buffet and an open bar?  Do you guys think it would be a bad idea to eat very little calories all day to make up for the night, or just keep it normal and try to stay in control?

How's everyone doing? I feel like today really starts this challenge and I am very motivated to work as a team and WIN!

I'm a bit nervous about going to a wedding this weekend, but I think I'm actually going to behave myself knowing we all depend on each other! (LOVE this challenge!)

I have the same situation next saturday and i've been dreading it because I've been known to have a cheat day and then it ALL goes down hill days and days later; like i can't recover from one measly night of eating too much. I have to try and mentally prepare to have a nice night, eat in moderation though not worry about counting and get right back on the horse the next day!

I highly suggest lean cusuines (or smart ones, healthy choice) any of those frozen meals. You can eat a hunk of lasangna for dinner for 300 calories! very helpful when counting calories and theres such a variety you don't get bored!

I totally know what you mean about splurging when eating out! I loooveee food, so I get SO excited when going to a restaurant. lol like, probably too excited. And any thoughts of my diet flies out the window because I reason that I dont do this all the time, so whats the big deal?? Well i've found it adds up lol. So i get what i want (a burger persay) and just cut out the top bun and replace the fries. Then I still have that "mmm just ate a burger" feeling, but im not depressed an hour later that I blew it big time!

For the past few weeks i've begun tallying calories in my head and its been great. I definitely round in my head, if only to just make it easier math! lol (i always round up also because rounding down is just tricking yourself)

Lets say I have cereal for 140, a lean cuisine for 240... I simply think ok, i've eaten about 400 so far. Only 20 cal difference, but its easier to remember and rounding down is always better

hey we have very similar stats, im 142lbs at 5'1" and i totally feel your eating-out pain.  If you really can't bare a salad (some places have good salads though, always take a look!) get the burger. But take off the top bun, and put it to the side and hold the mayo.  Eat your burger with a knife and fork (since now you cant pick it up) and you'll enjoy it more and eat it more slowly. Replace your fries with a veggie (most places do that) and all of a sudden its really not that bad of a meaL! You still get the burger craving out of your system, but youre cutting all of the calories in half by following these steps. Just a suggestion!
