I'm down to 151, but I'm about to go on vacation so I'm scared that my lack of routine will hurt my progress.  Decided to set some mini goals and rewards for myself:


If I don't gain more than a pound on vacation, I'll buy a nice frame for a picture I take there.

Can I join this party?  5'8 and 155 (have kept almost 20 lbs off for 2 years, but ready to get going again to my goal).  140 is where I'd like to be, if that is the weight where I feel amazing. 

Going to do my best to eat 1250 on no-exercise days, and keep those to a minimum. 

Nicole - I eat for no reason too (well, i guess the reason is that food is delicious).  I'm trying to down a bunch of water instead, and keep busy at home so I won't think about food.

    thanks!  an idea just came to me - what about a turkey panini?  do delis use oil or butter to grill them?  was just thinking that might be easier to bite...

    dnealis - its a beast of a workout so you are probably replacing some of your fat with muscle...i wouldn't give it up altogether,  but maybe mix in some running and elliptical to keep your muscles guessing...

    i'm back...161 this morning.  NOT happy about the plateau - going on three weeks bouncing between 159 and 162... grrrrrr

    any suggestions on how to break it?  the zig-zagging confuses me, do you still factor in your exercise?  it seems like i already zig zag a little bit.

    juicebox - you can pick up a tape measure at any drug store and probably the grocery store.  it will only cost you 2-3 bucks and they keep them near the sewing kit items.  you can keep track of your losses that way...so even if you weigh more (muscle weighs more than fat!) you will know that you are doing good things for your body.

    i think it totally depends on how aggressively you are playing!  the boxing game can be a nice little workout if you are bobbing and weaving, punching full force.  i've definitely seen fit people break a sweat boxing...haha

    well, i'm not quite in this group, but i really really want to be!  i've been hovering between 160-162 for a week now.  UGH!  159 will put me at a healthy weight and healthy BMI.  just need to be patient, i guess. 

    hope to be here soon.

    Weekends are tough, but I like to think of all the time I have to be active that I don't have during the week.  Weekends have plenty of daylight for long walks, hikes, tennis games, gym sessions. 

    I like to try and think of all the things I can do that don't involve eating and I can't do during the week - reading a book and napping outside, volunteering, getting the pesky chores done, long phone calls with friends I haven't seen in awhile. 

    Just my two cents, you are definitely not alone!

    thanks to all of you.  i'm going with the pollo al citrico, no mayo, no fries, and i will eat it open faced with veggies on the side.  sounds good to me!

    hmm, not sure...perhaps give your doc a call?  i went right from one pill to the other, so i could just start whenever my other pills ran out.  it still threw off my cycle by 6 days.
