So you are basically saying that the fashion industry is the cause for all eating disorders/diets/desire to be thin? WRONG! A friend of mine is Amish. No tv, no magazines, no nothing, and is anorexic, she weighs 75lbs. I model, and I am not anorexic. My doctor says I am in incredible physical shape, low body fat, I work out. Before I was 50lbs over weight. The fashion industry isn't evil. Fat people just need a place to blame other people's self control.

Sorry that I wasn't very clear in my post. I am going to buy an actual dog carrier, and then let the dog run loose in the my desk area ( we have a cubicle type office, and people just buy a baby gate to close the opening on the side, then let the dog run free.) I know the cost of an animal, and I am willing to pay it. I have decent savings, my car is payed off and I don't have many expenses. I have considered the issue of bringing a skittish puppy into a home with other dogs, and that is why I would keep the dog with me at all times, until it could get used to the others and vice versa.

obesity is unhealthy. Very few people would want to lose weight if being fat was good for them. But most advertisments on weight-loss websites are diet related, so I have learned to ignore them.

Hi! I am 15 and working full-time for a private escrow company. I started in may, and I am getting emancipated, so that in april, I can get my LPO license and my notary and buy the company I work for. I just bought my first car, a Mercedes, and I am in love with my job. I was completely broke in may, I moved here from a dingy trailer park. And now I am driving a mercedes. Life is what you make of it.

I guess I am one of the "barbies" I like to wear makeup when I go to the gym, I look horrible without it. I don't go very fast on the machines yet, I am 15 and I joined the gym 2 weeks ago. I wear some jewelry, because I go to work afterwards and I don't feel comfortable leaving it in the locker room or my car, as most of the jewelry I wear is 100 to 200 year old heirloom pieces. I am not a nudist when it comes to the locker room. I admit that I do some different steps on the treadmill, mostly to help tone my back end.

She is very close to me, she was the runt and nearly died the first winter I had her. I stayed home for 2 weeks non-stop, and she has been my cat ever since.

Yes, sizes are way different now. My mom has a pair of size 6 Calvin Kleins she wore in high school, and has a pair of size 6 Calvin Kleins now, and she can not get her old pair up past her knees.

I hate how "curvy" now means FAT! I was reading a fashion magazine and they had an article that showed how to dress your body shape. I looked at their definition of curvy, and the model in the picture had to weigh 300+ lbs! I don't get how you can't have curves and be thin in the fashion industry, unless all you want to model for is Victoria's Secret or playboy.

UM, my usual weight is that, the only reason I have gained this much weight is because of an injury, I couldn't walk much so I just sat and ate and ate and ate! I was always told to go eat a cheeseburger, a pizza, chocolate, etc. And I did eat all of those foods-a lot of them. I am not unhealthy, just naturally thin.

erm, excuse me, I am a 32dd at a size 0, and I have an hourglass frame (hips/shoulders same width, small waist.) And I am not a supermodel (I wish). I am trying to get back to my healthy small weight-because its not fun to be shopping in the "granny bra" section of the stores because my chest at this weight is HUGE! Why did I end up with the big chest? sniffle sniffle

THEY ARE UGLY AND UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!! I am not kidding!!!! I bought a pair after the 5 in heel on my stiletto snapped and I broke a few bones in my foot (my weight broke my heel :-( ) I thought that they would be comfy and lose for my recovering foot. Heres a hint: THEY ARE HORRIBLE UNCOMFY! I went back to my heels the second I could walk in them without crying! Don't waste money/ fashion sense on them!

caitlyn-I am the same way- I wore the wrong size bra for so long, because my mom was no larger than an a, and she forced me to wear a b. I went into Nordstrom to get fitted one day, and I am a 34E. What a pain in the rear.
