Weight Loss finding it hard to focus Aug 28 2007

Omega-3 fatty acids are supposed to improve your focus and drive for education.

Personally, though, I think you are just doing far too much. You are stressed out and you are reacting to this stress by shutting off, avoiding work, and watching CSI.

My advice is to make some time in your schedule to relax.

Binge drinking is just one of those things you have to accept the concequences of, if you choose to partake.

Everything in life is a trade off, right? There is no such thing as a free lunch (or in this case, a free keg.)

If you binge drink you will get hungover, your grades will suffer, your body will be damaged and you will feel the effects on your waistline.

There is really no way around this, either you accept the concequences or you don't drink...

This doesn't stop me, however, from being the six time flip cup champion.

It is possible to minimize your caloric increase due to alcohol if you avoid the super sugary drinks, make room in your schedule to exercize more, make sure you walk to the bar and back (Guarenteed no driving under the influence this way!) and, most importantly, by getting out there on that dance floor! You burn 306 calories per hour if you dance a fast pace. (Make sure to keep hydrated though.)

What if they were living in a Dom/sub realtionship? What if religion had nothing to do with it? What if she was hitting him too? Or instead? What if they were two men? Two women? Would that change how you felt?

I tend to respect peoples life choices. I think judging this woman behind her back is disrespectful. Chelle, you talk about this woman as if she is totally helpless in her situation. That you assume her relationship is like that kind of demeans her and lessens her to a subsidary role, to be perfectly honest.

Yes, it makes you sick, yes, it would never work for you, but this isn't your life, it's hers.

haha! mztenderheart02, I thought the same thing "Ooh. So I get to eat cake and get a spanking too!"

This diet would never work for me, unless the logic was reversed! heheh. "You ate that entire pie?!? No belt for you tonight!"

You guys have to remember that this 'diet' of hers is a product of a mutual agreement between two consenting adults.  Safe, Sane and Consentual, right? We really have no right to what happens between two consenting adults who obviously do care about eachother.

That being said: I don't really agree with her methods, I feel that is you are going to make a permenent change in your lifestyle that change should come from within yourself, and not from the dicipline of others.

I think she sees her life with her husband as a partnership in all things, and the rod as his support of her healthier lifestyle.

I also think it's a bit sick and twisted, but she'd probably think the same about me, being the good Christian woman that she is!

Don't eat less than 1200 calories a day! Your body will go into starvation mode and will save fat instead of burn it.

Also: You need protien in your diet!

Lean meats like chicken and fish and hardboiled eggs will help you stay fuller longer.

Use the tools that this site provides to make sure you are getting what you need from your diet.

You can't help the way that you feel.

You can't change how you felt when you saw him thinner, but at least you recognize that it wasn't all that grown up of a reaction.

If you want to strive to be a healthier weight and live a healthier lifestyle you should do so for yourself, not for your ex.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with finding support and encouragement from unexpected forms.

I would call you gorgeous and curvy and lovely just the way you are.

It's hard to say if you are classified as overweight or not by a photo, use your height and weight and age to calculate your BMI Index here: http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/bmi.php

A healthy weight is between 20 and 24.

If you want to feel better about yourself I suggest adopting a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercize (if you don't already live this way!)

Eat plenty of veggies, whole grains and lean meats instead of processed foods, drink water instead of soda pop, exercise at least a little bit every day and don't worry about your weight. Living healthy and fit will show much more in the way you look, feel and act!

Rooibos chai tea is soooo good. It's the only tea that I've NEVER put sugar or milk in because it is so damn tasty.

Whenever I am in the mood for a little cheat, or if I just want something sweet I go down the street to a local bakery and have a pot of rooibos and one of their cranberry date squares...

So delicious! and Healthy too!

haha! I was just going to write Jessica Alba too!

I love long, lanky bodies with small breasts, but the truth is I'm an hourglass to the extreme! My hips are WAY too wide and and my breasts WAY too large (and my waist is tiny) to be thin like that.

I prefer to exercise at dusk, or even dawn, when it's not too too hot outside. I rollerblade and ride my bike. Occasionally I go for a swim at the YMCA, which is an awesome full body workout and keeps me cool too :)

Also: DDR! Dance Dance Revolution, a rhythm based game found at most cinemas and arcades, which are almost always air conditioned :)

An hour of playing DDR burns more calories than an hour of running on the tredmill, and if you have an Xbox or Playstation you can get the at-home version for pretty cheap!

It a lot of fun too. An addictive exercise!
Weight Loss How much does TTOM affect your weight (incl post-hysterectomy)? Jul 18 2007
16:45 (UTC)
2
I'm not sure about your cycle and hysterectomy (You might want to talk to your doctor about that), but it is most likely that a "weight gain" like that is just fluctuating water weight.

To gain weight that fast you would have to have been binging on 1750 calories OVER the calories you normally burn in a day. So if you burn 2000 calories a day, you'd have to have eaten 3750 calories, almost double of what your body needs.

It is possible that you ate that much... but unlikely.

Also, your sodium intake and water intake could have changed. Keep your sodium intake withing a healthy level and drink lots of water!

Weight Loss unbalanced body Jul 18 2007
15:38 (UTC)
Focus on a weight lifting routine to build up muscle in your legs and in other parts of your body, to make it look firmer. You are underweight, but that seems to be just your body type.

Focus on eating healthier (more, but healthier) and toning up, rather than losing weight.

Your body is obviously unhealthy. I think seeing a nutritionist and getting into shape will do wonders for you. Try to forget about your body image issues and focus on your health issues instead. I guarentee that a healthy lifestyle and treating your body right will make all the difference for you.

Hmm. My family is very worried about me, even though I assure them I am eating plenty and amd losing at a healthy rate. (And I am!)

They just don't see me for months at a time, and during the winter months they don't see me half naked (Well, more like 3/4 naked...) but rather bundled under ten layers of sweaters, I guess it doesn't seem healthy to them.

But they know me. I love to eat and could never cut the healthy food I love out of my life. I exercise every day and lead a very healthy lifestyle.

It frustrates me because every time I go home I get interrogated about my weightloss!

I don't want to talk about it! It's not a big deal, it's just how I live my life now. I'm just healthier, I'm not sick!

You weight fluctuates up to five pounds a day because of water retention.

If your focus on lowering your sodium levels, and on drinking plenty of water (just water, sodas, juices and other drinks don't count!... Although I think some people do count sugarless, milkless tea and water with crystal light in it...) each day this fluctuation will become less dramatic.

Your water retention is the least in the morning, after you have relived yourself. This is the best time to weigh in!
