So much momentum for March already! Spring really is in the air! My husband and I went out for a walk this afternoon, and it was wonderful. It got up to about 70 degrees here in Georgia. Christalrae, great incentive on the book reading. I started a book called The Way to Eat a few months ago.... this will give me the incentive to pick it up and finish it. Thanks! |

| I had kind of a bad Monday today, but instead of doing our normal "feed the bad emotions" we went out and walked for 30 minutes.... me normal, and my husband with a 50 lb pack. Small successes make all the difference. | |||

The worm thing is really cool. I saw it in action for the first time when my husband and I hiked to the Len Foote Hike Inn (north Georgia mountains) this past December. It's amazing. They even put a pair of old khakis in the bin, and sure enough the worms are eating it up. We learned several conservation tips while there.... one that was really fun was making beads out of old magazines. Here's how: Cut long triangular strips out of old magazines (find colorful photos for best results). Apply glue (glue stick is best) to the backside and wrap them around thin rods (1/16th inch). Then paint with clear fingernail polish to seal the deal, string them up and you've got a cool bracelet, necklace, or whatever. They had even made Christmas tree garland out of them by cutting fatter triangles. It was really cool. |

Happy V-Day to all. Stilltryin, how did you do with your goal for V-day? I feel good about my eating today.... had some bad eating earlier this week, but today was actually pretty decent. I did have a couple of chocolate covered strawberries, and a few Hershey's kisses, but I think that was pretty good compared to my normal Valentine's eating. |

Stilltryin, I opted to do housework tonight instead of workout, so I didn't really do too great with points today either. It was a very good eating day, so I'm pleased with that. I still need to do the crunches and planks. I'm getting behind on daily challenges. Everyone is doing great. All the posts are energizing! |

| Stilltryin: one thing that I do for myself is to keep track of daily scores on my own (broken down by water/exercise/challenges). That way I can see in what areas I've improved or need to continue to work on. It's a great way to truly see your own personal consistency. I don't have a lot of time for exercise, and am struggling to get it back into my normal routine. BUT I do get the majority of my points from drinking water... once you git in the habit that's an easy one. I think that we are all different, and I would probably get discouraged and give up if I focused too much on individual scores. You can see by my score that I'm not all that great... you and I are pretty close to each other point wise. So I'll align myself with you..... so how about that for a challenge: let's see which of us can get more points (you're already ahead of me!) : ) Don't get discouraged, and don't give up! | |||

Christalrae.... I keep telling myself I need to get back into YF! I will do it. I've just been kind of slow getting back into everything. BTW, you look great in your new photos! I have lost 1.5 lbs. this week, and I haven't really added exercise back into the mix, so I'm happy with that. 100 crunches is going to be really tough for me, but I'll try to do as many as I can. |

| My goal is to weigh in at 130 by September 19th. My tenth wedding anniversary. I have about 36 pounds to go. I had lost down to about 159 by October of last year, but because of the holidays, etc. I put about 9 lbs back on. To break my goal up a bit, I would like to be around 145 by my brother's wedding in June.... so I need to lose 21 lbs by then. | |||
