| OK last month i didn't reach total loss of 10lbs. This month i'm going to aim for 8lbs. I've lost a total of 10 since June 21 but after I hit 146 or so I jsut keep losing ounces here and there. One of my goals this month is to attend pilates 3 times a week! Hopefully that will help. | This is soooo funny. My husband would love it! I'm gonna go home and tell him we have to do it everyday. I don't know about other people but I think this is great. When my husband and I have a week in between "play time" it doesn't last near as long as if we play everyday :) For all of you that have kids, how do you work in doing the deed? My daughter is 10 and her bedroom is across the hall. Since it's summer alot of times she stays up later than us because she watches TV (we go to bed around 9:30 or 10 alot, hubby gets up @ 5AM). I don't wanna get caught! yikes |

Weird sex burns less calories than walking. I've always heard that sex burns more calories than anything. I tell you what try being on top only using you legs for movement, no hands for stability, I bet you'll burn more calories that way. At least your legs will think so! |

| Get her outside. I don't know how old your kids are but try to have dinner at an ealry time so that you have time to take a walk. Either you and her can walk or take a family walk. Go to the park or jsut walk in your neighborhood or street. Sunshine has been proven to be effective in helping depression. I think the depression is the real issue. Once the depression has been addressed then the weight can be addressed. I think approaching her about her weight may backfire. She may be a comfort eater. You may also show her what you are doing on here. Just say hey babe come look at this site I have joined. Explain the site to her and show her how much weight you have lost. Maybe that will interest her and maybe she will join. | |||

| I went to see a nutritionist 2 weeks ago and for me I am 5'5 and weighed 151 when I went in. She told me to eat 1200 calories a day and burn 1000 calories a week through exercise. The exercise is important so that your body burns fat not muscle. My 1200 calories is broken up per her advice as follows:
8 AM- 200 cal 10AM- 100 cal snack 12PM- 300 cal lunch 2PM- 100 cal snack 4PM- 100 cal snack 7PM- 400 cal dinner According to her eat something every 2-3 hours keeps your metabolism in check. I find that the snacks every two hours are very helpful with the hunger issue. I've noticed alot of people are saying that they are hungry all of the time. I am not. I was for the first week but I find that I get full very easy and since I eat every 2 hours I don't have slot of time to get REAL hungry. Hope that helps. Oh yeah two weeks doing this I now weigh 147! |

What's the link between muscle and metabolism? The metabolic rate - the rate at which the body burns calories - is partly determined by the amount of muscle we have. In general, the more muscle we have, the higher our metabolic rate; the less muscle we have, the lower our metabolic rate. This explains why men, who have a high proportion of muscle, have a faster metabolism than women, and why a 20-year-old has a higher metabolism than a 70-year-old - again, they have more muscle. Ultimately, muscle burns a lot more calories than fat so when we lose muscle, our metabolic rate drops and we burn fewer calories. In fact, research shows that the body loses a proportionately high amount of muscle with a very low calorie intake and this may considerably suppress metabolism by up to 45 percent. This explains why it's crucial to do as much as you can to protect your metabolic rate, especially when you're dieting. | I'm not sure about the nutritional content of the 100 calorie packs but I buy them. I don't eat one everyday but I know that I'm gonna have a craving for something sweet and having those is good so that I don't go over the deep end on calories. It's great for portion control! | |||

| I'm not sure how much protein you are looking for but I have 1 cup of Special K w/ 1/2 cup of 2% milk. The cereal has about 9 grams of protein I think, but you could add a small banana and total about 250 calories. | |||

| Count me in! For those who don't think they can loose 10lbs in a month don't be discouraged! I lost 10 in about a month doing weight watchers. Now I am just trying to watch my calorie intake and combining it with exercise. My daily calorie intake is 1200-1500 daily and my calorie burn goal is 1000-1500 a week. i haven't tried this before but I am hoping to see the pounds melt off considering I just looked online at the nutrition content of what I used to eat for lunch. HA I was eating 1200 calories for lunch alone! (Zaxby's club w/ fries) | |||
