ok i know exactly what you are going through. Exactly. I cant even explain it to you, but ill try:)
I had extremely thick hair too. And then i got an ED. during my ed my hair was dry and stuff but it never fell out.

I started recovering with a nutritionist and when i was 3/4 of the way recovered my hair started falling out like you wouldnt beleive. This was in about the middle of October.

Littereally every time i would touch my hair i would lose handfulls, like handfulls of atleast 10 everytime. I was losing hundreds, and hundreds of hair every day.

So i was eating more, plenty actually, even my nutrionist said so and my hair was getting worse, and worse and worse. Showering was the worst thing of my life, and it would literally just pour out of my head.

SO i went to doctors, a couple of them, and got tested for vitamins. i wasnt defiencent in any. my thyroid was also good.

So january came along (3 months into my hairloss) and i thought forsure it would start getting better. I went to my hairstylist becuase i FINANLLY got brave enough to go to one, and she could not beleive how much hair i had lost and was losing. It was horrible.

I started searching for the healthiest food for hair and i would only eat that. Salmon, nuts, etc. It was the most frusterating thing of my life. I was eating everything for my hair, and i was gaining weight, and i was going bald. I bought the expensive Nioxin shampoo too, nothing helped. I went from straightening my hair EVERYDAY to never even brushing it.

March came along and i WAS STILL LOSING MY HAIR. it is extremely thing now. I wash it everyother day and i dont brush it when i get out of the shower becuase it falls out way too much.

About the middle of April it slowed down drastically. So it took about SEVEN MONTHS after being healthy for my hair to stop falling out. And even today it still comes out more than it should, but its better.

Im sorry this is so long, but i know exactly what you are going through. I have spent many, many, many nights crying myself to sleep, I have turned down many social functions becuase im to embarassed. It sucks, big time. Ive spent way too many hours crying and hating myself for what i did to myself.

So if you made it through this post, and have any questions feel free to message me.  I had the most extreme hair loss ever, and it was EXTREMLY tough to deal with, being a senior in high school:(

wow, people on this site have gotten more rude.
But then i think, people like that must have so many insecurities about themselves they just take it out on other people. So im sorry for you. Hopefully youll get over it :)

Peacelovehominy- i know what your talkinga bout, i think every one does haha. 

And like i said, me and my friend were having a disagreement. People dont have to get so crabby wow.

Me and my friend were debating becuase she thought that if it was between 172-345 youd be conisdered the top 50% and i thought if you were between 1-172 youd be in the top 50%.

Schlotzskys deli......im not sure if there's one where you live but.. its SO GOOD! i just got done eating it actually.
Most of there small sandwhiches are 550 cals or less, and mediums would even still fit in your range:)

I LOVE the chipolte chicken... 370 cals, 10g of fat, 27 grams of protein .. its sersiously so good.

and since your lazy, like i am, you can pick it up and take it home like i just did :)

But other than that theres alot of options, especially since u have 7-800 calories. Subway, quiznos, wendys(chilli)...

but personally, i think u should go with the schlotzskys...:)

Lunch:    turkey sandwhich on whole wheat 1/2 packet salad  
dressing

       &nb sp;     skim milk

Snack: banana with peanut butter

Dinner: Scholotzky's deli chipolte chicken sandwhich on wheat(YUM)

haha today after tennis practice my friend, who is very thin, said she was gunna go to arbys after practice.
This is what she was gunna get:

1 large curly fry
1 Bacon beef n' cheddar melt
8 piece mozzerella stick
A soft drink

and that was just for supper. Haha n she eats like a pig at lunch too :)  that meal up there is over 2000 calories.

But whatever, its her life :P

Ive tried the 7 grain and Honey Sesame and loved them both

i JUST remembered this!!

When i was younger and i would go to my grandparents house she would allwwaayyys give us a grahm cracker with a slice of melted American Cheese on it!

I dont know if half a deviled egg is the right way to put it
I mean like one whole egg, and then u cut it in half and add mayo/mustard and fill the 2 halves.
I eat one in the morning and one at night becuase the dr recomended i eat an egg every day for personal reasons

oh my god
Every morning I eat two slices of wheat toast with peanut butter on it. I mic the toast for 15 seconds and can't eat it if I dont. It softens the peanut butter and it's amazing!

i do the same thing word for word. Even 15 seconds.

Creapy.

And my mom gives me crap for it, every morning.

thanks:) i just want everyone to know that it is possible to recover!

The picture of me during my ed, I remember that day (my sisters bday)  I remeber going shopping earlier that day with my cousin, it was a couple weeks before school started, and i was "school close shopping"
Size 0 didnt even come CLOSE to fitting me, not even with a belt. Then i got home and caught a glance of me in the mirror and STILL thought i didnt look thin.

Now when i see this picture it really makes me realize how distorted my mind was.

Blessed with a high metabolism?

I think if youd wanna say "blessed" it be more like 2500, not 1800.

1800 is average for teenagers, and half of them say they eat 1000-1500 and exercise almost everyday.

1200 is bare minimum, half arent even making the bare minimum, and the other half are but are exercising creating a deficit lower than the minimum.

i used to eat way less than 1800 calories too and maintained becuase my metabolism slowed down so much and that was UNHEALTHY.

It took adding calories slowly to start builiding up my metabolism again.

Im just saying give your body a chance.

5'2" 105 pounds
maintain on doing absolutely nothing during the day on about 1800-1900
on exercise days sometimes up to 2300

this site is turing into people annoucing to everyone about how they are starving themselves- usually for attention. I feel bad for your bodies.

ive go to 3 differernt doctors and have been battling with it for months. Ive been tested and have been on vitamins, and minerals, and every kinda pill imaginable.
They all tell me its becuase of what i put my body through
