Hello everyone!

I'm starting these diet pills tomorrow SoloSlim it's called. I'm hoping it will help kick start my weight loss and help keep me motivated.

Has anyone ever tried this diet pill?

Mish, I hope you get your new scales soon! It has been awhile hasn't it?

Wow... I am so sorry about disappearing. Finals week(s) came up and I got buried under research papers, final projects, tests, etc.... I wasn't online except to e-mail my teachers and work on assignments, no other sites were touched and I am really sorry I left this community for so long.

Update me, how has everyone been doing?

Woke up this morning feeling sooo sore! But it's good. Got another half hour in of aerobics and balance activities. Later I'll try for half an hour of strength training and yoga. Right now... lots of homework. I have a homework goal list to finish and it's 5:00 and I'm only now starting. Yikes... wish me luck.

My Mii got shorter and much fatter. Haha, it's just more of a goal to lose weight so I can make my little animated character cute again. I've only had it two days but so far I love it and to be honest... I'm blowing off my research paper and final projects to play it. Bad I know, but it's so much fun and good for my body. I can't help wanting to do it! And I will get homework done... eventually.

As for the 2-player thing, no 2 people can't be measured at once but my sister and I were doing the yoga together. Just because one isn't being measured doesn't mean they're not getting a workout.

I'm not sure how accurate the weight is same with the BMI, but as a base it's not bad. I take most of the readings it gives me with a grain of salt and know that when I feel healthy I am healthy and hopefully this game will help me get there.

If you get super into the games and just start rocking out to them (especially the hula hoop ones) I don't see how you can't get a great work out! Up the reps on the strength training and yoga once you start not breaking a sweat and you're fine.

I don't like ankle weights but I don't like anything around my ankles or wrists, it feels weird and is distracting to me.

I got the Wii Fit recently, but I had no idea there was DDR for the Wii, I love DDR but the dance pad I have doesn't work very well. Delayed reaction time. Most of the Wii games I have don't work up a sweat for me. But the only one I've played that I liked was Mario Party. Wii Fit is definitely my workout game. =)

While last night I only got a 20 something minute work out in today (throughout the day) I got a whole hour in and I feel great! I did a mix of balance, aerobic, yoga, and strength training exercises. I did a fairly even amount of each of them using the Wii Fit. I played a lot with the balance games because those are fun but then I went to the Yoga and Strength training which once you get brave and try them out well, they're pretty awesome! I kept wanting to mute the yoga guy because every time he told me to 'lengthen my spine' or something along those lines, I lost my balance! =D Heh... but it was fun, my body feels good, like it did something.

Anyone doubting getting this game I'd say get it, it's awesome! I helped my 11 year old sister out with it (she's in the same obese boat as me) and she went right for the yoga and I talked her into some strength training. We're both very competitive so it was good that I started before her because every time she finished an exercise she wanted to see if she could 'beat' me. I hope I can keep her wanting to beat my scores (and hope I can keep beating her!) because I know she's slacking in her swim practices, hopefully this will help her do some new exercises to counteract her bad eating habits. Those I can't change, that's on my mother who is in denial. My mom worked out on the Wii Fit today as well, speaking of her, it was funny to watch her play the soccer balance game and get mad when shoes kept hitting her character. I hope she uses it a lot as well. It would be great if we could all get healthy together.

Speaking of... I really wanted strawberries today and I am always excited when I crave healthy food. Actually, strawberries and steamed broccoli sounded wonderful. So does that Chocolate Mint water that has no calories or sodium in it. Yum...

Mish, I played it for 20 minutes before my head started aching. It wasn't the Wii Fit that was making me achy though, I don't know what was. It started when I was at work, I came home and it got worse, I still got on the machine for 20 minutes but then my head hurt as well as my body so I went to sleep. Woke up this morning around 7am, still felt bad and since Friday's are my nothing days (unless I want to do work) I went back to bed and stayed there till I felt better.

Amflasin, it's cool you got a complimentary membership. I paid for one and... well, I haven't been in a long time. I want to end my membership and just work out at home. I think I have to wait until after June to end it though... anyway... Push yourself to go to the gym! And have fun at your job. I love babies. ^.^

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! Heh, I am actually going to weight in! Woot!

182lbs after working out and breakfast. I'm not doing great but if I start working harder I will do better!

So I got a Wii Fit today, went to work and my feet hurt even though I had my comfortable shoes on... got in the car and my shoulders and back hurt... Now my head hurts as well. I got something to help me be healthy and now I'm so uncomfortable I just want to go to bed. Ugh... Hope you guys are doing better than me.

Princess, it's cool you like your Wii Fit, if I can find one I'll be buying one today after my hair cut. =) As for the 3lbs weight gain, I'm not sure. Do you weigh yourself at the same time every day roughly? Were you eating saltier foods than normal? Normal things like bloating could account for the extra weight.

Mish, YAY for feeling good! =D Random good moods are amazing and, kudos on the perfect alignment. ^^ I don't think I'm perfectly aligned.

You know, I never realized how busy life can get. Yesterday someone asked me what I was doing later and my mind just blanked. I knew I had a lot of homework to get done but... it was like I just didn't want to remember it. We're hitting finals which means I have projects to finish and a test to study for. I haven't been eating great (again) but I'm determined to stop doing that (and not having much food in the house helps with that). I'm going to enjoy my granola cereal with a banana snuck in there and leave to get my hair cut and get something for lunch at the grocery store.

Veganmamma, I think we've all been conditioned that way. If the pounds aren't moving something must be wrong... yeah right. I'm trying not to focus on my weight so much but just how I'm feeling every day and especially when I exercise (considering how quickly bike riding kicked my butt yesterday I need to work out more!).

On the depression, I know what you mean. I have this thing with not liking counselors because they don't feel like real people to me... so I talked to my psychology teacher, when he still worked there (retired) and he pushed my towards becoming more healthy and doing more social things as a start, if I wouldn't go see a counselor. When I first started if I got depressed I didn't touch this site or count calories or anything... But... it kind of started making me feel better. Not completely, I get sad all the time but, it's not as bad as it once was. Talking to people here and in other communities helped out a lot especially since while I talk a lot at work and school... I have a hard time making long-term friends. 3 months is the cut off because that's when the quarter ends it seems.

Mish
- Macaroons... are those kind of powdery... melt in your mouth things? Hey, tell us how you like the new scales! I'm thinking about getting one. Smile

Jackie- Tell yourself that peanut butter has good fat and so it's not that bad. Heh... Just don't stress yourself out! Stress helps nothing.

Kish- It makes sense. It's really weird though when becoming so discouraged is what makes you super motivated... figure that out.

Anywho... I'm glad everyone did not just disappear you were just gone for the weekend. I've had a group before and it just ended one day because no one was talking anymore, so with this one I am determined not to let that happen. Even if it means talking to myself Wink

Have good day guys!

Made some deliciously healthy waffles today, flax seed and soy protein in them. Egg replacement powder and vitasoy milk in it instead of the obvious counterparts. I drove a lot today which is not something I'm used to and it really can be draining. I still managed to ride bikes when i got to my house though. I haven't ridden since I broke my arm years ago. Got the bikes out of the garage today and jumped right back on, when around the block a couple of times and I couldn't believe how tired I was. Now I need to work on homework...

I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

I woke up this morning and Kitty was eating... a very little but he was still eating! YAY! So that bit of stress is gone, and I got a car yesterday so I have a bit more mobility in getting places more than 5 miles away (I don't mind walking to the grocery store which is roughly 4 miles one way). So there's a lot of stress just lifted but I've still been emotional eating and feeling pretty grumpy. It might have to do with my homework piling and not being able to see or talk to my boyfriend... but those are things I need to get over and I need to eat better.

Come on guys! Don't stop posting here! Let's keep helping each other out!

Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy the long memorial day weekend if you get to!

I moved in my boyfriend and I's sick cat today and... I've been so busy trying to get him settled and force-feed him that I haven't eaten much today or had a chance to weigh myself. What I did eat though wasn't the best. Huge bowl of cereal when I came home from getting him, after he crawled under my desk in my bedroom and made it clear he wasn't coming out for a bit. Then I had frozen Chinese food (microwave) and some peanut butter chocolate ice cream a little bit ago. My stress level is way high what with wondering if I can't get him to the vet tomorrow or th next day, will he did or have to be put down?

I wish animals were different enough from humans that they never got sick. He's been sick since I started taking care of him (1.5 years ago) and my boyfriend and I are pretty sure if I hadn't fallen so in love with him (because how many cats let you hold them like a baby and rub their tummies without biting or scratching?) he probably would have died already from malnutrition and that was when he'd willingly eat anything you gave him.

Sorry for venting... I'm just so stressed out. Good luck on the weight-loss/toning/loss of inches/etc guys!

Kish- You can weigh yourself if you want to. =) And congrats on losing weight!

Veganmamma- I totally understand! For awhile that's all that was happening with me, inches coming off and pounds staying the same.

Bittany- Good job on the weight loss! Oooh sunburns suck! I hope it heals nicely, aloe vera is great! As for the elliptical, I love ellipticals! =D

Mish- Scales are weird no matter where they are or what kind. How come you like the gym scales better?

Hawkey- You don't have to want to lose weight to come here! Toning is a great goal to have! =)

I'm a late riser which is bad and so I am frantically trying to get ready and do everything I am supposed to do before I'm late... which I will be in 5 minutes. Yikes... I've been doing baaad on my diet but my exercise routine is falling into place slowly but surely! I just need to stop emotional eating... mostly stress or sadness... Bah.

I hope everyone else is doing great!

Fake butter. Less than 20 sprays of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray has 0 calories and lots of flavor. 25 calories if you use more than 20... not sure how many sprays, I just know less than 20 and it's 0.

Or Smart Balance Butter 50/50 blend of the vegan one in the tub... Look at all your other buttery options and see which one will work best for you.

Jennifer- I'm not sure if you can count pregnancy weight as being your heaviest because a lot of that is due to the baby. =) It's great that you were able to lose 45lbs after the pregnancy though! I'm always hearing how hard it is to lose the baby weight, my mom is still trying after four kids. Have you added any conventional exercises to your life? You can't spot-reduce but you can focus exercise that work out a certain area more than others.

Kish- Thanks for helping me out in welcoming everyone and letting people know when new things are happening Laughing It really is very helpful! And don't feel bad for not going to the gym, you made up for it by going to a spinning class. Those classes are amazing workouts! And good job on resisting temptation! As for the getting metabolism tested... I have never heard of that so I'm not sure.

Tammy- I don't like it when people tell you not to lose more. My sister yells at me sometimes that I can't lose more weight. I'm the same height and 5'5" and 185lbs, I need to lose more weight to be healthy! You should give yourself some incentives to lose weight, like every 5 lbs you lose you get... Whatever you want.

I was trying to find a decent snack earlier, I wound up drinking a lot of Ovaltine. It would up not being a decent snack... but it was delicious! Heh... Then for dinner I had a whole-wheat hot dog bun, small banana, and 2 Tbs of natural (nothing added) vegan peanut butter. It was yummy!
It's hot here so I'm not too keen on going outside, but I did earlier to give my two dogs a bath in the yard. That's a workout in itself, carrying 100+lbs dogs and trying to chase after them with the hose and not get soaked... yeah... didn't work too well but my pups are clean!

Erose- Hey! Don't feel too bad about it! Bad days happen, you can't do much about it after the fact. Just recognize that what you ate wasn't the best thing for your health and decide to do better tomorrow. Or starting from the next thing you eat.

Starbucks Frappuccinos are my downfall. =)

Kishmish- I hope that isn't saying anything about 5'5" people! =D

I don't think I could ever take part in a low-carb diet. I am such a carb addict! If I go grocery shopping I am always hovering around the bread and talking myself out of buying it.

(Also... Go to the gym! Join a class at the gym, those are lots of fun!)

Jennie- When I went on the pill not much changed for me in regards to weight or mood. But then again, I gain no matter what I eat so I really just have to watch my caloric intake.

Wasabi- Sometimes being too strict in your regime is what puts the weight-loss at a dead stop. That's not saying you should jump off your path, just change it up a little. If you focus more on strength-training than aerobics, do the opposite! Don't eat the same thing every day (same calorie amount is good) because what you're eating matters in how you lose. GOOD LUCK!

Cj- I don't have a choice with my doctors. My gynecologist told me once, "You shouldn't gain anymore weight" After telling me how much I weighed, it was the first time I'd met her and she didn't realize I used to weigh 200lbs and hey, I'd lost some weight! Heh... Sorry for venting, that was a really bad experience that makes me mad. My goal size is in the one digits. I think I'd be really excited to be an 8 or 9.

Erose- Don't focus too much on the weight on the scale. Look at how your clothes fit you, how you feel when you work out (or just move), other things not just a number on the scale. It shocked me when I saw all of these 5'5" people saying they want to weigh 110 because with my frame I'd be anorexic-thin! That's also when I learned, you can't look at scale numbers. Focus on how you feel in your body.

Mratt- It's great to hear about couples working together to be healthy! Good luck to both of you!

Me:Smile
Know what guys, I think there will be a weigh-in date, next Friday sound okay? Don't worry if you miss a day or two, or if your weigh-in day is different, post whenever, but for people who do not have a weigh-in day Friday can be it! =D

Also, because after reading everyone's response I understand not everyone likes to focus on their scale weight so on Friday you can weigh-in however you want! Clothing sizes, scale numbers, inches, etc, etc! You should be comfortable when it comes to talking about your life, your weight, and your diet, etc here so don't feel like you have to post anything a certain way. There is no limit to the number of people who can join, you won't 'get in trouble' for not posting, stop by when you feel the need and be good to yourselves!

I did not eat very healthy today, or work out... but I did yesterday. Today I went to my boyfriend's house around 9 and collapsed in his bed to sleep. I have been sleeping so little due to homework and chores that I am exhausted all of the time. But with him, I relaxed, slept, woke up very late and felt refreshed and ready for the day... which consisted of me watching a movie with him, and playing a video game =D It was fun. I did work on homework as well, which is figuring out how I have to work out for my Wellness class.

Jess, you and I should talk. =D I have slacked so bad on the exercise, getting home late and being told I can't go out to walk doesn't help either though. >.<
Anywho, check out hungrygirl.com maybe sign up for their newsletters and you get some neat free recipes as well as good eating ideas. You should start making yourself a nice breakfast, make if fancy if that's what you like (or just look fancy) and really enjoy it. If you do snack, try to set out a day ahead what you're going to snack on. That way you can change it if you need to and eat more or less, depending on your caloric needs.

Bonny, why do I feel like Wii Fit already came out? Maybe I have just been seeing ads for it...

Soli, I'm glad to hear losing weight is still going well for you! And as for Atkins... I've never heard anything good about that diet, especially once people go off that diet. Luckily, calorie-counting isn't so much a diet as it is... keeping track. =)

Ah, boys! I hear all sorts of jealous comments from my friend about her husband who eats and eats and is skinny as can be.

So, while this isn't a club-club, it's more of a place for people to check in whenever they want, vent, etc... but... how would you feel about having a weigh in day?

I'm excited to hear your thoughts, now it is time for dinner so my headache will go away.

Am I the only person who started losing after getting into a relationship? I started overweight (big time) and after being with him for about 6 months started losing, maintained, and now I want to lose again. Though I will admit, I don't eat much better when he's around. =)

Mish- I'm with you on wanting to lose the belly jiggle.. and the arms and thighs too. Heh, my big thing right now is I need to tone. Lose weight and tone at the same time. Which means I have to do something I hate, weights. Blech. I love cardio workouts but add weights, push-ups, sit-ups and I check out.

I think I'm the youngest one here... and if it really does get harder to lose weight in your 30s, I'm really glad I'm starting now!

Age: 18
Current Weight: 180
Goal Weight: 130

I have maintained my weight of 180 for almost a year now, down from 200 which was down from almost 250 at my highest. I slacked off on my diet big time, especially slacked off from exercising. I am in college and I am so tired all the time trying to maintain everything in my life. School, work, and something vaguely resembling a social life. I can't imagine having to juggle more!

Feel free to send me a message if you stop by here, I'd love to make some friends and have some people to work on becoming healthy with. =)

I feel bad, I haven't exercised hardly at all this week, I move a lot but nothing is a formal workout, not even going on a walk or anything. I've been waking up early this week and coming home late and not getting to sleep until later so the thought of adding more just makes me want to hide under my covers.

On top of not working out my eating habits are slipping! Ah! I tried to do better this morning with a slice of toast with some of my favorite crunchy, organic, pb on top (never more than a Tbs, usually less) and a cup of coffee to keep me from falling asleep at work. Oh inventory... I hate you. ^.^ Sorry, just counting paper all week for 4-6 and tomorrow 9 hours... is not my idea of fun.

Okay, time to clean up and then take a shower. I actually get a late morning today, I am very excited. =)
