The Lounge Is it bad that I'm so dedicated to my relationship? Oct 24 2008

Original Post by gi-jane:

There's loving someone and theres being so over-protective and emotionally insecure that you're more like their stalker.  Relationships need space.  People need time apart to appreciate time together.  I'm sure she was very flattered at first but it can become rather suffocating and even scary if it carries on.

It sounds like it's you that needs the attention and the confirmation that she still likes you.  Constant approval-seeking means you're coming across as very needy and immature.   If you don't back off a little the danger is that you'll lose her all together.  And, you don't know, but she may be staying in the relationship simply because she's worried what you would do if she broke it off.

What would you do, incidentally?

I would be sad but I would move on. If it wont work then it wont work. I dont want to be in a relationship where we're both miserable.

Thanks for the replies. I will take all that was said into consideration. As far as I know she does not feel smothered. I'm not popping up in random locations around her or anything like that. I'm simply ready to take her call when she can call or hang out when she can. She has a busy life right now and I simply want to be there to help her when ever possible. I don't call her every 10 minutes ya know what I mean? I give her tons of space. And, what I mean by dedicated is that when she can talk I'll be ready since we have so few moments.

I have a balance of $400 on my Capital One credit card, which ofcourse is no big deal.

My mother has about $40,000 total on hers. The stupid Africa trip kills a CC balance.

Credit Cards are EVIL. Do not use them.

This is not directly related to the the OP but how can you stand Del Taco!? Every time I ate there I would get really sick the next day, and I'm talking about vomiting non-stop for the whole day.

They seem really sketchy to me. I wont touch anything made by them with a 10 foot pole.
The Lounge Ever met your bf/gf online?? Aug 01 2008

I met all my girlfriends online. Well my first one I met in class but I'm really shy in person. I open up easier online and thats how she got to know me. Once that was over and we were together I would act the same everywhere around her *I'm a crazy nut inside*.

It is really hard for me to meet people and introduce myself. I'm a very curtious and polite person but I lack the will power to do the first step. Heck, I only have two friends irl.

All I would require is enough books to read till the day I die and I'll be set. I already live my life alone haha :P

Sad.. I know.. I have no friends.

But really, only books and I'll be ok.
The Lounge guys, would you buy your gf/wife pads? :) Jul 15 2008

I don't mind buying these for my girlfriend. Why not? It is another bodily function that we all or most of us understand. If someone were to look at me funny I would probably make a joke of it. You know, "Hey, when it happens it happens."

Besides, when I was sick with the flu and barfing my guts out. She was there for me and sat in the restroom with me while I was barfing my guts out in the shower.

I would put an end to nations/government, including my own. We're all people whether we like it or not. Let's just live and have REAL freedom eh?

Fitness Should I workout when Im sore? Jul 01 2008

Jogging is more impact on your bones and muscles. Natually it will hurt more.

I think it is ok to workout while sore. My only advice is to stretch before hand and take it easy. If you are worried about it then give them a day or two to rest.

Do you like the beach? The beach would be a must if you dont live near the coast, other than that I don't have any recommendations.

Imo, theres nothing to see in the LA/San Diego areas if you dont like touristy stuff. Take in mind this is coming from a guy that hates places with masses of people.

When I need some peace and quiet I usually go to the park or the beach. It's not dead silent but its actually quite relaxing. I find I can read or do homework much easier in places outside the house in the surroundings I love.

-call me nature boy I guess.

If I'm standing I guess I would be a coke bottle.

Sitting I'm a Bean Bag.

I think the perfect description of me would be Deep Fried Tempura Shrimp. Long "ehh tall?" and thin but still has some fat to lose so I'm still sorta lumpy. I honestly don't know how you can be thin but still fat, no muscle mass perhaps?

Shrimp is what I am.

To be honest with you, when I'm feeling down because of a girl, I usually feel better working out. It helps clear my mind and I usually forget *temporarily* why I was upset, if not forget I'll feel better.

Fitness If I take about 5-6 days off from exercise...? Mar 24 2008

A couple weeks ago I went on vacation for 3 days. During that time I never got any running/weight lifting in. To my surprise those 3 days actually did some good. My muscles got some much needed rest and I was able to lift more my first day back at the gym. I guess they had time to repair and buildup huh? Anyway, the same concept goes for cardio aswell.

2: I don't know. I notice them a lot more than other people probably do. I'm very self conscience though, I hate my body.

3: When the sun hits mine they seem to be sort of shiny? I don't know how to explain it. They don't turn red or anything, just the annoying shinyness.
