I have had a pedometer before (two actually) but it never correctly logged my distance.  It seemed that I would have to almost jump up and down for it to register a step.  Maybe I just need to invest in a better one.

Well guys, I am about to go out and run now.  One thing that bothers me though is that I con't measure how far I am running when I run around my house...I just have to time myself.  I have started jogging regularly for that past few days again and I am feeling good!

I thought I might also post my daily workout on here.  I do 3 sets of 50 crunches going side to side and then to the middle.  Then I do pushups til I can't anymore.  I do stretches in the morning when I can remember and at night.  It's a pretty simple routine but I have actually starting seeing results in my abs now that I run.  I think it shows that you don't have to do a ton a variations or lots of sets to get results.  It might not work for all but I hope it helps some.

Oh, don't worry my father is a doctor and I have consulted him.  I was jsut looking for some different points of veiw.  I have been used to running and your idea would explain why it never hurt during season.  My knee is better now and I plan to start my morning jogging within the next few days.  At the moment I am still rather tired from traveling.  I hope I am not just being lazy.  I feel kind of guilty because I ate McDonalds this morning for breakfast and I am going to a party this evening where I am sure my food will not be healthy.

Thx for the help!

I just got back from vacation and so I havn't run in 3 days...

I have a question about knee injuries.  Last year (before I started running) I hit my knee on a bed really hard and tore a ligament in my knee.  It took about 3 weeks before I could walk normal.  I was worried I wouldn't be able to run good during track season but I did fine.  But recently my knee has been hurting again.  Another strange fact is that it started hurting again on the anniversary of when I first hurt it.  Sooo...basically I am just asking what I should do.
