OK! OOK ! I'll shake my butt and try to walk. The funny thing is I usually lose weight on a cruise. I think it is because I do walk more and all the healthy food is all prepared for you. We leave on July 8th. First it is camping with my sisters and all the family starting Thurs. and through the weekend.

I love to read about Alice's hikes and to look at all the pictures. It takes me back to twenty years ago when I could still do those things.

Good for you Margie! 2 lbs is great. The reason it didn't happen on Wed. is just to keep you humble. lol!

Hi Everyone

Marge the reason for the parking lot is I drive a School Bus. I also Train people to get their CDL license.

Alice (aka Moonduster) I always love to look at your pictures. I am with you. There are so many trainings that could be done online that it is ridiculous to make people go and sit in a class.

I am doing so so as far as the watching what I eat but exercise is not happening. We go camping next week and then cruise to Alaska the following week so probably won't be happening then either.

I am still here! I have been at a (Boring) Training for the last three days and I am zapped out. The one day we stood out in the middle of a parking lot for 2 hours in 80 degrees. The second day they gave us a book and read to us word for word all day. and the last day was presentations all day on thing we all ready knew. Yippee!

Hi Margie

Thanks for the invitation maybe we can support each other. I am the same as you I keep trying and somehow I always fall off the wagon. I am a diabetic and should be eating healthy but I crave sweets and eat when I am bored.

I drive School Bus and school is out for the summer. I am afraid that I will eat myself into another size. I have well over 100lbs to lose now.

Hello everyone

Do you remember Me? I have thought about you guys but just got discouraged.

It has been a long time. I decided I need to try to lose weight. I need to start again.

I now weigh more than I ever have. I need a cheerleader to help.

I didn't get eaten by the critter bear but I feel like I ate the critter bear!

Good moring. Sure you can play Penny! Today I have eaten A bowl of cheerios with skim milk, Watermellon.

1. keep a small jar of almonds handy that's a healthy snack.

2. put your before picture on the frig and a reminder why you are here.

3. Keep cold water with a little lemon made up and easy to grab.

4. When you feel a snack attack go curl your hair, take a shower anything to entertain yourself for 20-25 minutes if it's just a habit it will pass.

5. Drink green tea.

6. Clean a drawer or closet

7. Do some mending

8. Start a hobby

9.  Knit

10.  get on the computer!

11.  Go to bed early - I usually get a snack attack at night about two hours after dinner.

12.  During the day take a quick walk even if it's just around the block.

13. Call a Friend or a relative

OK so far I a have eaten A bowl of whole grain Cheerios and Whole milk,Two bites of leftover steak, and a can of mushrooms. Peanutbutter sandwich. Bar-b-que chicken, potatoe and Broccoli.

I am here Penny.

Good job YEA PENNY! Cheer Cheer! Weather isn't so great here either. I discovered something new "Geocaching" It is a great way to get out and do some exercise. If you don't know what it is it is using a GPS to find little treasures.Has its own web www.geocaching.com if you want to check it out.

Anyway

I have eaten for Breakfast. Cottage Cheese with Fruit cocktail. 1 slice of Toast

Snack was 5 pieces of Candy ( Fruit slices)

Lunch was a piece of cheese with 3 slices of turkey ( didn't feel all that well)

Dinner was a tuna noodle casserole

Moonduster- the Cream of mushroom soup was just Campbell's condensed soup mixed with water.

Today I ate 2 eggs with 2 pieces of toast for Breakfast

Watermelon 

A piece of ring bologna, low fat cottage cheese and Peaches (canned in pear juice.

A piece of ring bologna, bowl of cereal ( Life Cinnamon with milk), watermelon,

Been kinda of a weird kind of day for eating. Where is the veggies? I didn't do so hot did I.

Go ahead and laugh girls but when we were is Hawaii and went on a Helicopter they do weigh you. ( Lucky me I wasn't the biggest)

OK now for those of you that own a WII I need help. What do you recommend I buy? I want to purchase one but don't know that much about it.

lilmskelly79- I look at small goals If I had to look at the WHOLE picture it is too overwhelming and I wouldn't even try to lose weight or change anything. Depressing!

Jessicarm-I do small steps too I can't change everything at once. If I only eat a healthy breakfast and do nothing else that is a improvement. I would love to go to Scotland.

Good Morning Everyone

I have been sorting through clothing and vacuuming this morning. Fun Stuff! Lol!

Anyway this morning I  had 2 cups of coffee ( Probably should have had only one) Total cereal with strawberries ( Frozen because in Michigan we don't have fresh yet and I clean out the freezer during the summer and eat what we have.)

Cream of Mushroom soup and cheese for Lunch.

Moonduster you eat like me sometimes. Peanut butter and Jelly beans? Lol! That is why I am posting ( I hope it will help me eat better) When I had to post my fruit and veggies I discovered I ate more.

I will edit as the day goes along and update.

It doesn't seem like it would be true jessicarm. Watermellon is low in cal. and I can eat twice the amount as a diabetic.   I would be interested in reading about it if you could post the information.

I was wondering why so many of us fall off the wagon or have trouble staying away from the junk food. Any opinions?

I stay in the air conditioning when it is HOT. Swimming is a good way to stay cool and exercise. Cool

Donna I am not doing too much of anything. Seems like I am just sitting around eating and cleaning.Frown I worked on some new bus maps because we are combining some routes next year. Less kids in school, Less money, Getting new bigger buses. That's the story of that. I should start on a new quilt but haven't. I should be exercising and watching what I eat but I haven't.Laughing I am a very bad girl Donna.

Marie I don't know how in control I feel but I was happy not to gain. I have discovered that I prefer to eat healthy if the food is all prepared for you and you have a choice. Congratulations on the -45lbs. Were you able to scan the news letter in? 

Thanks Moonduster. Yes that is my DH as you can see he hasn't ever had a weight problem. ( But he is very understanding) Yes the picture was taken in Hawaii.

Penny What about doing a Angel food cake? I know there are some good recipes that have cool whip and fruit in layers between the angel food cake. Maybe try a sugar free cake. Many groceries offer them and they probably have fewer calories.

Hi everyone! Remember Me? I have been back from Hawaii awhile now and made a trip to Niagara Falls over Memorial day weekend. I did pretty good I actually lost 4 lbs on the Cruise.

We are all done with school until August and I have nothing planned for the Summer. I was going to babysit the new Grand baby but they think she is allergic to my cat.

IS THERE ANYONE WHO DOESN'T CRAVE CHOCOLATE!?

What do you do to satisfy that craving?

Luvhim You have a "Towel buddy" I love them. Did they do the Monkey for you?He is my favorite.

I have been looking at the Wii too but I probably would not use that either.

Hi everyone

I guess it is time for me to start posting again too. I am done with School. ( bear bus didn't eat me Donna) I am back from Hawaii. ( Had a wonderful two weeks) I have been to Niagara falls ( I suprised my DH and took him Memorial day weekend) Now I am sitting around the house for the summer. I was going to babysit my new grand baby but they think she is allergic to my cat so now I have no plans.Cry

Believe it or not I actually lost weight on the cruise. 4 lbs! I am at 260 and holding. I am also one of those that need to get back to eating what I am suppose to. Also need to start exercising. I think that is why I lost weight on the cruise because we were always walking.

I love your pictures Moonduster too. I use to hike when I was young and healthy but now I live hiking through your pictures.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be leaving Sunday to go to Hawaii.

I am one of the lucky ones. We leave Sunday ( April 20th) on a cruise to Hawaii for two weeks. I can't hardly wait to get out of the cold!

Thanks pollockh. Yeah I know what you mean about kids going off into the wild blue yonder. I am lucky that mine live close but still miss them being here. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that they were little babies.

MSC-However did you poke yourself in the eye? Were you doing the tapping technique for emotional eating? Shouldn't your smiley look like thisWink lol! I don't agree with the four steps of eat when your hungry, what your hungry for but stop when your full and eat slowly and consciously make sense. The show where you overcome your cravings by imagining your food covered with stuff works for me. yuck! I wonder if it would make me anorexic?

For anyone who hasn't seen it watch it the techniques are worth a try.

Hi everyone!

Keep sending the recipes. They sound good and I am always looking for new recipes. I think that the trick with every food is to try to make it as healthy as you can. Not to do without.

I have a new grand baby (born on March 31.) so I will have to catch up on all the post. I posted her picture in my gallery.

Luvhim-Where are you going to on your cruise? What cruise line are you taking?

Most of the foods on the ships are healthy and you can have almost anything that you can at home. I am a diabetic and they offer desserts for that too. You don't have to limit yourself to the main dinning (or formal dinning) there is casual dinning and it has so many choices including a salad bar. Most of the time we never enter the formal dinning room. They have a fully equipped gym with all kinds of exercise equipment but most people just walk around the deck for exercise. They offer a few classes too. You will receive a itinerary the day before with everything available for the next day.

Hey Kathy where in Michigan do you live? I live in the Thumb.  I have two Sons ages 27 and 22 a husband and a cat too. I am also 5' 2" but I weight 260 lbs and am 53. Welcome.
