| I would go see your GYN. I started this site July 1, 2007. I've been eating 1200 calories and my periods have been really light since. At my annual exam, my GYN gave me a prescription that I take every 3 months for 10 days to help me have a full period. He said a woman should have a "real" period 3-4 times a year at minimum to reduce the risk of uterine cancer and such. Even if you're not sexually active, you should see a GYN every year for your annual exam. | |||

| For bread I eat Oroweat Double Fiber wheat bread. It is 70 calories per slice and two slices give you 48% of your recommended daily fiber. I also eat La Tortilla Factory whole wheat wraps. They have 14 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein each and are only 80 calories for the large wrap, 50 calories for the original size. | |||

I buy Trader Joe's Organic High Fiber O's cereal. A serving size is 1 1/4 cups (most cereal the serving size is 3/4 cup). Just one serving has 10g of fiber and 7g of protein. I use skim milk (1/2 cup) and slice a banana on top of it. I usually eat breakfast at 8am and have lunch anytime between noon and 1 pm. I have only 1200 calories a day and this breakfast leaves me plenty of calories for lunch, dinner, and snacks. curses and elabar- I've lost 2 lbs. today just skinny bashing....happy? I was just saying how it is annoying that people ask questions that have NOTHING to do with "living a healthy lifestyle". Thanks....I feel so EMPOWERED now. |

| kcnae3- I TOTALLY agree with what you are saying. I think it's AS ANNOYING as the people who insist on asking if "it is alright if I consume under 1200 calories", "can I fast for 3 days", or "I don't mind pooping myself as long as Alli works". There are countless people who ask these same questions EVERY DAY. How many times must the same people respond with "this is a web site promoting healthy eating, a healthy lifestyle"? SERIOUSLY. |

| If you like fish, I like Tilapia fillets. You can buy them fresh, but I prefer the frozen fillets...they are frozen individually and are sold in a bag of 12 fillets for about $7-$8. I usually steam some rice and veggies and grill the tilapia w/ a little Pam (olive oil spray) and a little black pepper. Tilapia is a very mild white fish, low in mercury...and no little bones either! ;) For a 4 oz. fillet it is 93 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 21 grams of protein. | |||

Hi Ladies: I am fairly new to this site (July 1). I am 32 yrs. old, 5'6", currently 189 lbs. (started at 198 on July 1). My first goal is 150 lbs. | I eat exactly the same foods as before, just cut my portion sizes. I eat whole grains, fruit, veggies, pasta, meats (fish, chicken, even 95% lean hamburger). I've also had white rice, lowfat snacks ( skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, 100 calorie popcorn, Healthy Choice Fudge Bars) almost every evening....I've lost 9 lbs. since July 1, 2007. I just measure my portions, stay between 1200-1300 daily (no cheat days) and use my treadmill 3 days a week. | |||

| I don't have much experience with an eliptical, but I LOVE my treadmill (as much as you can love any piece of fitness equipment =/ ) I use it for 45 mins., set the incline on 5, and speed on 3-3.5. My treadmill asks for height and weight...not sure how accurate it is, but it says I burn 375 cals. in that period of time. Plus, it's not boring as HELL. I either watch TV or listen to my iPod.... | |||

| MC- I too enter all of my food in the morning. Well, everything but snacks...that way I know how many calories are left for snacks (usually 2 or 3 100cal. snacks). This has helped me easily stay within my daily intake goal. P.S. Thanks again for your help previously...this gal KNOWS what she is talking about. I'm down 7 lbs. in three weeks. :) 180s HERE I COME! | |||

| I prefer my treadmill. I don't have an exercise bike, but I've used them in gyms before. The main reason I didn't like the bike is because it makes my back ache. I also like the treadmill because I enjoy the different options like the incline levels. Just using it a few days, makes my legs feel more toned and stronger. I guess I must be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. ;) I would suggest trying them both out maybe? | |||

| Mine currently says 320/1350. In my "account" it has my daily calories as 1350. Therefore, it is telling me that I've eaten 320 of my 1350 calories. Make sure your calorie amount under your "account" says the proper number of calories you are eating and not 1150. | |||
