We've got a Garmin nuvi 760. No complaints here. Garmin do GPS right. If you have a Costco membership then keep an eye out for sales on them - you can end up getting a bunch off (ours was $100 off). |

I don't remember exactly, but closer to Mooni than the single digits. I was busy in the 4 years between losing my virginity and getting married. Only 1 for the last 10 years though. |

I asked my husband andie - he doesn't love me enough to do either of those things (that's ok though, I wouldn't do it for him either, I'd have let you throw up on the blanket then washed that). However, he did drive to drop off a change of clothes and bag on monday when I had vomited all over myself and my backpack on the way to school. He ended up taking me home, which I appreciated it no end. |

I went to my first class and took off my vomit laden coat and placed it over my vomit laden backpack. There was just a band of vomit on my sweater so I wore that, and reeked of vomit for the class. My lovely husband brought me a change of clothes but I made an executive decision and decided the skip the first day of my other class today so he drove me home. Dropped the jacket off at the dry cleaners, the bag is empty and waiting for the washing machine and the clothes are already in it. I am showered and feeling a wee bit frail. Dunno what happened, unfortunately it was an express bus so it was jammed and I couldn't get off when I started to feel nauseous. I didn't get anyone else, but it still was the ubersuck. |

To celebrate the first day of classes I threw up on myself on the bus on the way to school. IT WAS AWESOME. Really. (actually no, it sucked) |

Original Post by buggyhair: You can send her a link to your journal I think http://caloriecount.about.com/users/buggyhair /250593.html - I could access it when I wasn't logged in. Jfker should help you with whatever you use for mac email - I can copy and paste all of your links into Outlook and it retained them as hyperlinks but I'm not sure with macOS. I think it's a matter of having HTML enabled but I don't know if that is on by default in mac email. I imagine it probably is. Just try it, it may work! Edit: So put your mouse to the left of the C in chocolate and drag it down to the right of the R in burger, go to edit, copy (does ctrl + C work in mac??) and then paste it into the body of an email. I love the family pics, although I don't really get why jfker is constantly copping a feel of me, the other ladies in the house are far less..well....rotund, shall we say? What grade did you get for your class moofles? I apparently had my knickers in a twist over nothing and am perfectly satisfied with all of my grades this semester. I'm taking 6 classes next semester though. O_O I am slightly peeved too, I thought I went back on the 7th, but I go back on monday. *sob* I WANT MORE TIME OFF DAMMIT. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH |

Original Post by pgeorgian: Ok so this thread is rapidly turning into an ongoing tirade against small dogs. As a small dog owner let me assure you that owning one isn't all sunshine and roses. Why don't I leave my dog tied up outside stores? Because a) 2 times when I've done it people have tried to steal them (one time they made a joke of the fact that they were trying to untie their leashes, the other time had their leashes untied and were walking down the street) and b) if I do it when I can see them from the store people try to pat them, which sends my tan dog into a frenzy and my fat dog cowering at the end of the leash. If I have them with me and I need to go into a store I either have my carrier with me or I don't go in, because it's too stressful all around otherwise. I've had a dog stolen, I don't want another one gone. My dogs don't jump up, they ignore everyone and everything unless someone pays attention to them first. I tell people that if they try to pat my dog she will bark; she might bite; she doesn't like people. It has never once in 10 years stopped a single person from trying. And she barks every single time. It's not my fault that people don't listen. P.S. My rant about big dog owners - if my dog is running around reminiscent of a terrified rabbit while your dog is chasing her? Yeh, your dog is NOT "just playing". |

Oh jfk keep talking like that and I'll be the Deanna Troi to your Number One all. night. long. Rawr. I actually do yell at people to get off the ****ing phone when I see them stopped in the middle of the intersection as the light turns red while they're yacking away as if it's the most important conversation of their life. I also hang up on people who put me on call waiting - I find it rude when people are talking to me only to whack me on hold in the offchance that someone better is there to talk to. Nan is awesome and has been for the nearly 11 years that I've known her. She's got about 3% vision in one eye and the other one is glass (hereditary eye disease) so she's raised 5 kids (2 of the boys are blind as well) and umteen grandkids while almost completely blind. She also lives alone in Ontario and basically raised my husband and I can't impress upon you what an incredible woman she is. She wouldn't agree, but the good ones never do. Unfortunately it seems she is succumbing to dementia, and she can't carry on a conversation any more, which has my husband quite upset. :| Both of my own grandmas are dead - one was an evil bitch but the other one was good, albeit staunchly Catholic. My grandfather died last year but the other one is still kicking around in Australia aged 96 (!). |

Almost there, you're copying the wrong window though - it's linking to the edit journal page http://caloriecount.about.com/buggyhairs-gran ola-recipe-r166889 is the granola URL http://caloriecount.about.com/buggyhairs-pea- sun-spread-recipe-r165558 etc - these are the things you need to put in the "link URL" window. Edit: The very best of luck to you, I have to hit the sack as I am going to my MiL in the AM! If you can't figure it out, then I imagine the fabulous HK will be more than happy to help. :) |

Click the safari icon twice? Try going to file, open new tab or new window - I now see where your problem lies, this would be impossible without having multiple windows open. :( Let me grab it, what's another browser eh? |

Original Post by jfk61: I missed this post entirely! {{{{{{{jfker}}}}}} I'm drinking ice cider of all the bizarre things so I'll drink a toast to you! ________ Anyhow, better instructions for buggy: 1. Type buggyhair's into the recipe search engine which will bring up your recipes (if you're feeling lazy, then just use that link and always put buggyhair in your recipe title then you can skip all the rest of this post!). 2. Right mouse click on the first link and select either "Open link in new tab" or "open link in new window". This will bring up each of your recipes in their own seperate window. Alternatively you can just do them one at a time and just use the back button. OH CRAP you don't have right click do you? Sec. Ok according to this site, you "Right-click by holding down the Control key and clicking". 3. In a separate window, open up your journal and type in each of your recipe names. eg: Granola Lemongrass Chicken 4. Go to the Granola recipe (for example) which is open in another window and copy the URL when it is highlighted (Ctrl + C in windows and there is a manual way of doing it under the edit button). 5. Highlight "Granola" by positioning your mouse to the right of the word, pressing the mouse button then dragging your mouse over the word then let go of the mouse key. 6. The "insert/edit link" button should be clickable when the word is highlighted (looks like 3 links next to the language & smiley buttons). 7. Click the link button and paste the URL into "Link URL" in the window that pops up (either Ctrl + P or use the edit button again). Click on "insert". That should have you with something that looks like this Then you can just do the same with your other recipes etc! I hope these instructions are better, my mother informs me on a regular basis that I am crap at giving directions because I assume everyone has the same level of understanding about computers as I do (which isn't much, but is more than some). Edit: Oh and I have a very convoluted way of thinking too... >_> |

Sorry I got carried away irl so it took me a while to get back. What I did was: 1. Open each recipe in a new tab in my browser 2. Type out the names of each recipe in my journal 3. Copy the URL of the recipe (granola for example) 3. Highlight a name and used the link button to paste in the URL 4. Rinse and repeat for each recipe Yell if that doesn't work and I'll grab safari and see what's up. Good luck!

Can everyone get off their sanctimonious high horses and let CD complain in peace please? It's Christmas: If ever there was a time to be allowed to bitch, this is it. It made me anxious to not have the stores open too - I was sure I would have forgotten something. Happily I hadn't - if you didn't live on the other side of the country I would have had you over for dinner CD, as it is we have about 7lbs of turkey left over. :x |
