Weight Loss How can I tell how much I should weigh? Jul 17 2008

Well...I ended up just opening up a new acct with a diff email address. I'm not ollyrake1. It told me to eat 1750 calories a day. Seems like a lot..but i'll do it I guess. I did some googling and it said at that rate I should lose 1 lb per week with no exercise. But..I do try to exercise about 3-4 times per week. But..its not a consistant thing.

I think we all seem to like them for the same reasons....easy and portion control. I have to be to work by 6am and I get up and 5 and that leaves me just enough time to get myself ready and make the 5 minute drive to work. So..I would have to get up even earlier to make a fresh meal. I also like the south beach wraps, but I checked the sodium and most of them are around 1000 calories per meal. So..I come out further ahead if I stick with lean cuisines or the smart ones or something similar.

I feel for you! I'm in the same boat. And..I feel that if I make a mistake once throughout the day...i might as well blow it the rest of the way. But...I and everyone else knows that's wrong. I read something online somewhere that said that would be the same as if you blew a tire while driving..then..got out and sliced all the rest. You of course wouldnt do that and should compare your diet to that. At any rate...its easier to say then do.

I definitely planned on adding veggies/fruits to them. Would this be ok to eat every day though? I really think it would help me with my portion control. I've basically been eating baked beans EVERYDAY for lunch. Not so sure how healthy they are!  At least this way i'd get some variety. Plus..they say there are no preservatives in them?!

I just realized that on this site it tells you how much of everything you've had. I was shocked to see that I had taken in around 4600 mg of sodium! I will definitely start watching my sodium intake. I'm making a consious effort to eat more veggies too! Its just so hard when you're broke! Some veggies are pretty pricey. As far as how active I am...i'm new to working out (or havent for a very long time) so I'm trying to do about 3-4 times per week for about 30-45 minutes. I also do little 5 lb dumbells to try to tone a little. My activity meter thing says I burned 271 calories yesterday. I'm not hungry...so I honestly think I'm getting enough food. I don't want to overdo it either way though...too much or too little. I am 5'4" and weigh 222 as of this morning. I have about a medium build if that helps at all.

Oh..and eveliina...I dont really pay too close attention to the sodium..although I have recently cut out adding extra salt to things. I'm a huge salt lover..so its been hard. I just use pepper for the most part as seasoning.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE tomatoes and pineapple. I eat them almost on a daily basis. Sometimes for lunch I will just have a tomato sandwich with mayo. Its very good. How can I get less processed foods? I didnt think what I was eating was all that bad. Unfortunately...this wasnt just an off day. I eat like this most days. I also dont have a ton of time to cook. I find it hard to eat just fruits or just veggies for a meal too..so I like to add stuff in like baked beans. I LOVE baked beans. But..I try not to eat more than a serving at a time.

The problem comes in that I don't really enjoy meat very much. Sometimes I can't eat it at all..so I have a problem getting protein in which is why I try to eat the baked beans and things like that. I agree I dont eat enough fruits and veggies...which I'm trying to work on little by little. I usually have a couple cups of coffee in the morning..then water for the rest of the day. I also am not much of a milk drinker which I know is bad..but I take calcium supplements which I have cleared with my Dr.
