molly - your meal plans and recipes sound so good, you make me hungry everytime I'm on!  Thanks for sharing.  I'm always looking for new recipes/food ideas.

Welcome all you new people!  Hope you find support and encouragement here!

I'm doing well at maintaining, weight fluctuates within a two pound range, but no permanent gains yet - YAY!

This post is cracking me up.  If that miracle gun were out there, the first place I'd point it would be my breasts!  I'd take the size of any of yours.  I'm too embarrassed to posts my largest size and even having lost weight I'm still up there!

wow - everyone is doing so well! ang, cmcole, and molly - excellent weight losses!

Rena - That's a great feeling - not only does it fit, it's loose!  Congratulations!!!

Dolled - eating less on days you aren't get as much activity is fine.  Especially if you're not really hungry - that's a good sign your body doesn't really need the extra cals some days.  Your plan sounds good!

g4g -  I only count my weekly weigh in total (up or down).  Daily could get to be really annoying to try and track.  Although I admit I step on the scale everyday - just to know my general trend - what I need to adjust (more water, less sodium, more fiber).

sabineyvr   - sounds like you're going to make your goal!  Keep up the good work.

Welcome jelly1134!

I have to second everyone's want to do list.  Everything I read fits me.  Can't wait to do it all!

Goldie - I've been craving pizza for about a week.  And I'm talking the greasy cheesy kind.  Haven't given in yet, but I can usually stop at 1 large slice or two smaller slices.  I'm salivating.  At least you know that water weight will disappear soon!

Thanks for the support!  I did discuss all of my concerns with the obgyn and we decided 1600 - 1800 cals a day should be sufficient for me (based on what I have been doing 1200 - 1400, current size, and weight gain last pg.)  My goal is to keep my weight gain to about 10 lbs.  (please remember I am over 200 lbs and under dr's care).  Also want to continue exercising daily (at least walking on the treadmill).  I'm feeling much better and can't wait for this baby to grow and be born!

kendtangel - I read your profile - that's an awesome story!  Hope you're doing well and able to get back into exercise.

josie and katstar - good job on the 2 lbs weight losses!

texasteach - I find I usually have a small to none weight loss after losing big (big for me being ~4 lbs never 7 - Wow!).  I'm sure your body is just evening out a bit.

moogiesue - you should be proud of that number!  That cake comment cracked me up.

ang37 - I'm not going to weigh for awhile, but am still counting cals.  I have my first Dr. appt tomorrow and my weight worries are at the top of the list of things to discuss.  Thanks for asking.  I hope to still be a cheerleader for everyone on here for now too!

Thanks for your replies.  I think I am just having such a hard time because I don't want to lose track of my healthier lifestyle.  I know I will have to increase cals (just waiting on input from Dr.) and gain weight (just nervous).

Wow - I see some great weight losses posted!

Jenn - 20 lbs is awesome!  Keep up the great work out schedule.  I remember those college days - it's a tough time to lose weight, but you can do it!

magickat - We're glad to have you.  Hope you find the support and encouragement here you need.

cmcole - it's hard to give motivation to someone else.  Let her know how important she is to you - as your weight loss buddy.  When she sees how well you are doing with changes in diet and exercise, maybe it will motivate her to make some changes as well.

Molly - that is an impressive shopping cart!  All those veggies - excellent choices!

Welcome to all the new people!

cmcole -  that is awesome!  You are doing an excellent job, keep up the good work!

fortyandfab - wow - 4 kids!  I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to have that many that close in age - especially when they were younger - no wonder you're tired!  Congratulations on the weight you've lost - 74 lbs is an achievement!

Well I lost 1 pound this week, but I don't know if I am going to continue to weigh in.  I am afraid to focus too much on weight right now.  Not seeing losses or even seeing gains could have a negative affect on me.

Hope everyone has an excellent week!

weirdkitty - I had shorts earlier in the summer that were a size too small.  It was a great motivator!  I'm sure you'll be in that dress in no time!

ang37  - 1 lb. a week is still good - means you're still having a deficit which is great!

Hey all!  Thanks for the congrats.

Welcome to the new people.

Congrats to all of you posting successful weight loss.

Gold - I was excited to see the  new name when I logged on this evening.

Molly - you're on fire. - way to go with the veggies.  I had 2 servings of lettuce (spinach and romaine mix) 1 serving of broccoli, and 8 baby carrots today.  Haven't tried any new veggies this week - these are my veggie staples - need to add variety.

cmcole -  that is so sweet.  you made me all teary eyed reading about your son's encouragement!

Hello All,

I had a bit of a curve thrown at me yesterday.  I went to the ER for a sore on my head, was prescribed meds, came home and decided to take a pregnancy test (since it's ttom) before taking meds.  I and my DH were shocked - it was positive.  We've wanted more children for three years now.  It's so early though - I'm a wreck.  Whatever happens, I want to keep tracking calories and limit my weight gain.

I'm up for the measurements (haven't done mine since mid - July.  Veggie challenge sounds good too - I've been a bit lax lately on getting fresh veggies!

Welcome to the new people!

I like the "100+ lbs Losing2gether Successfully Club" as a new name.  It's positive and highlights the fact that we're in it together.

But no matter what we're called we rock and we'll rock even more without those extra 100lbs.
Sabineyvr -  for some reason when I read that as we rock and roll and more with those 100 lbs - and it gave me a mental image that cracked me up.  Probably because it's so true for me.  I must be tired out (last two days have been super busy).

Welcome mommabear, fortyandfab, and Tammy.

cmcole   - like sabineyvr said, it sounds like you have very reasonable goals.  I'm sure you'll make that!  We're all in this together and will do our best to keep you encouraged.

I just logged my cals for today and my sodium is really high.  I better suck down some more water before bed.  Of course, then I won't get a good night's sleep, cause I'll have to get up and "piddle."

Blue -  that's funny - using the kitchen timer, but you gotta do what you gotta do.  Good for you!

Welcome Saintlymama!  I too am losing weight in the hopes of conceiving.  I don't have PCOS, but have read alot about it.  If you ever want to chat, send me a message sometime.

United - that's for the tip on the survey for the free pedometer.  I was doing 10,000 steps a day program, but have lost or broken 4 peds since May!  I took the survey, would really like to get back to counting steps again.

My official weigh in day is Thursday, so from now on that will be the day I post my weight.  This morning the scale read 237.6 - Since I joined on the 8th that is 2.8 lbs.

Congratulations to all of you healthy water drinkers!!!

Welcome Blue and  Avacadogrl!

Goldy - that's right you are worth, so am I, and so is everyone else on this board!

count - it - congratulations on finding a dress.  Clothes shopping is still a dreaded activity for me!

I have to tell about my little proud moment.  We went to the local playground last evening, and I had the desire to try the hang on and slide across thing (anyone know what I am talking about?).  Anyway, I haven't been able to do it before.  Last night I did it three times.  Couldn't believe I was holding my own weight!  DH mentioned that the last time I tried was last October (70+ lbs heavier and totally out of shape).

Molly- I'm a die hard water drinker, but never thought of adding mint!  We have mint growing wild in the backyard, I'll have to look for some today.

Michelle -  That's an awesome milestone!  Keep up the excellent work.

Kellygreen - I find when I am up just a little bit, the weight comes off quickly, (within a day or two).  Hope the same is true for you - I'm sure it will be since you are "back on the wagon."

Yesterday after the rain stopped, my DH, son, and myself went for a walk and ended up at the school playground.  They have one of those slider things that you hold onto and go across.  I have never been able to do it more than a few feet, but last night I went across three times.  I couldn't believe I could hold myself up like that.  My husband pointed out that the last time I tried was last October - 70+ lbs heavier and totally out of shape!

Happy Birthday Jansa!  Good for you keeping your resolve firm!

mgoyder - strength training helps you burn fat more efficiently.  I highly recommend it.  Right now I work out at home.  We just bought a weight bench last weekend, to add to our strength training routines.  My husband lost his weight by walking (38 lbs.) and is now trying to tone up.  I've been using hand weights and stability ball (for core) and toning bands since I started.  Go for it!  I think you'll feel better in the long run!

moogiesue - I don't recommend walking with weights.  It can actually cause strain on joints.  If you feel like it might help - purchase the ankle weights, but do not use hand weights!  I was actually studying to become a group fitness instructor through the gym I used to go to, before I became pregnant, and that is one piece of info that has stuck with me!

texasteach - glad you enjoyed your vacation.  Sounds like you have a great attitude coming back too!

It's raining here.  I was so stuffy this morning (allergy season for me) that I skipped my treadmill workout.  Twice when there was a lull in the rain I had my son ready to go for a walk outside and before we reached the end of the driveway it was raining again.  He still wanted to go the second time, so we went a little ways down the street and it started in harder - so we had to come home.  Rain, rain, go away...

You people are killing me here!!!  Bras are something I can definitely rant about.  At my lowest weight (165 lbs.  I was still a DD).  While pregnant I blew up to an H - try finding bras for that!!!  Right now I'm back to a DDD and still have to special order bras.  I am longing for the day I can walk into a store and buy one.  Anyway, when I try to find plus size bras that are cute they don't give me any support.  I want cute and functional.  Is that impossible????  Any seamstresses out there?  Maybe you can design a cute, comfortable, and functional big girl bra.

Okay - I want to know where you all are finding shirts for big chests.  I have a large chest and can't fit in anything unless it literally tents the rest of me.   And the styles that are out there now - no way can I get into those things.  I get so frustrated seraching for shirts.  Oh and bathing suits, what's with plus size suits only coming with C cup bras inside????  'Til I get one that fits on top, I could put two of each leg in the bottom, and they hang to my knees!!!
