I'm 17 turning 18 soon , 5'8" and maintain on around 2,300 calories a day, sometimes more sometimes less. =)

I used to think the same thing about the regular Golean but now ive just gotten used to it and also I add a drizzle of honey, mabye you can try that?

I tell people im a couple of pounds heavier aswell, lol, unfourtunately people have never belived me =( and always guess my actual weight, ah well worth a try =)

ok, sorry, 5'2 then =) I have dyslexia so I see random numbers and letters.

Well the doctors scale could be somewhat wrong by mabye about 4-7 pounds. And your right 100 pounds is a maintainable weight for a height of 5'2. But it may not be what works or you. If you look the same as you did at 100 pounds then you could look at it like: "hey, I carry my weight well!" mabye not what you want to hear but its a more positive outlook than thinking your future wont go as well if you don't weigh what you look like you weigh.

I wish I could tell you something that you don't already know, that would make you realize the importance in things other than weight and appearance, but this is really a struggle you have to overcome. It's all up to you to decide that just mabye it's OK to weight 5 more pounds than you did a year ago. That mabye thats just a natural part of getting older. Mabye try re-evaluating yourself, your obviously beautiful by looking through your pictures. In the end it's your decision to get better, if you dont accept it then perhaps you'll always see yourself after you see the number, and that number doesnt have a face other than the one you give it. People will be supportive but only as much as your willing to be towards yourself. I wish you well and im sorry if I offended you at all.

Like most people here have stated, to me it seems like you are very much focused on numbers. If I recall correctly sometime not too long ago you posted on the maintain fourm and while I dont remember the question you had then, you had made a comment to someone who eats very healthy and you criticezed them for being overly obsessive about food, and that they should stop worrying about numbers. You also seem to often state that numbers are just numbers, though you dont exactly take you own advice. What im trying to say is that if you truley belived that then you would follow it.

Also when you posted this thread you seemed very distressed about the information you just found out. While people here are trying to be reassuring you continuously shoot them down almost like you diddn't get the answer you wanted and so your trying to prove them wrong by stating all the facts. But honestly if you know you are still 100 pounds then why are you so worried? And 100 pounds is not for everybody, even if you are 5'4 some people just can't maintain that, and mabye the hardest part is accepting that. Lastly it doesn't really matter what you were pre ED this is post ED and im sure alot of things have changed since then, internally and externally.

I have a tradition of making cakes for special events, so im going to make my mom a apple spice cake for breakfast, lol. Its something durrable since right after our family get together she has to leave on a business trip, and she can take it with her. =)

I have about 2000 cal on a regular basis. and weght train to tone =).

and I agree, why do people post numbers as low as 600 when it obviously is to little to eat. Is their some pride in it?

mmmm... I had a sugar feast yesterday lol. for breakfeast I had some blueberry muffins, and since im in high school every class peoiod  some sudent passed out brownies and cookies hersheys candies. I made some cookies and ate 4 of those 2 cupcakes, 2 brownies, some of those cake store bough cookies, cheese covered pasta and grilled chicken for dinner and baskin robins icecream cake for dessert, all together im thinking over 2000 calories in sweets haha.. and it was amazing =) no regrets at all.. though I deffinitly need to make up for the lack of nutrition today ^^.

Yes, I took it for a couple of days for a bacterial infection. But I couldnt handle the dizzyness so they switched my prescription. Anyways dizzyness is the #1 side effect for monocycline. I dont know if in time your body will get used to it. But if your experiencing any symptoms of the medicine to an extent that it affects your daily activities, then you should consult your doctor and see if their is an alternative for your acne problems.

It says her BMR is about 1800. The suggestion about her talking to a doctor is good, but she never goes to docors. She thinks they are a waste of money since she works in a hospital. Also she wouldnt admit eating that little is a problem to me, so I dont think she would seek for help professionally. thats why I think its up to me to get her to understand it.

Im not sure if she is, but ive noticed the little amount of food she's eating. And I dont thinks she's complaining because she doesnt want people to be suspicious that after she complains about being hungry all she eats is a piece of bread w/PB. And also if she is seeing results on the scale then im guessing all other complaints would dissapear. and yes she does take her vitamins, alot of them. I understand the appetite drop now, but mabye she's using that a a reason she shouldnt eat as much? Im just worried...

clairelaine > yes I understand according to the BMI charts I am too thin but ive been this way all my life and my mom, dad and brother are this way too, and we all eat like horses, well at least I used too untill i fell ill. but thankyou for your concern.

I should mabye also mention that I was hospitalized due to reaccuring MRSA staph infection and was on IV bactrum, morphine, demeroll?(sp?) and ive had 6 surgeries to get rid of staph. which is very uncommon for me, I rarley ever get sick.

xochitl < And a chiropractor sounds like a good idea, my mom said she had a deadly virus in her spinal cord a couple of years ago, so mabye.  thankyou =).

This is a really great post, I too have expirienced this aswell, when I diddnt eat lunch at all I steadly gained weight. I diddnt know how much I was hurting my body when I wasnt eating lunch for years. I wasnt anorexic at that time, its just my friends at that time diddnt eat lunch and so nither did I, and 2 years later when I finally decided to start eating again the weight pilled on, which sent me through anorexia for 7 months, but when I dedicated myself to eating more the weight leveled of, and then I lost 10 pounds and im now maintain at around 100 pounds. So I firmly belive in eating a healthy amount for you body in order to loose weight to get to your healthy body weight. ^^ Thankyou for your expirince and encouragement for people to become healthy! =D

And I think you (sarkeizen) need to stop over analyzing her post, honestly. The original post was meant to be an encouragement, and all your doeing is being a disscouragement.

Ive been through this, and yes you will gain before you loose. I cant tell you how long it will take before you start to loose again, usually its however long you deprived yourself, it seemed like it took me 2 months to get back on track, but im still not completely normal again. however I cant help you on anything else D=! I would also like to know the recomended ratio between carbs:fats: and protien.

You said that your still loosing weight just not in your stomach area right? is your stomach constantly sticking out no matter what time of day or nomatter what you eat? you could have easily lost it due to dieting. but it could also be a build up of the menstrual fluid thats just not releasing each month. when you get your next cycle see if your stomach is more flat when your cycle is through. if it is then it could very well be due to a build up. (p.s.= im having the same problem and this is what ive found to be it.)

Its probably because (as stated by other posters) when you eating and still for hours after your food is still moving through your digestive system and so when you sleep you havent eaten for 8 or so hours, longer than you would durring the day. It gives you body time to fully digest before taking in another meal. Also by that time your body has absorbed most of the nutrients from the food so theirs not much to 'bloat' you.

Though I also read somewhere that gravity takes affect on your body throughout the day so by the end you may also be shorter than you where in the morning, same thing for your stomach. =) not sure how accurate that is, just thought i'd give my 2 cents,lol.

Hey, im recovering from an eating disorder too, and I get most of the symptoms you listed (exept headaches) after I eat. Ive never been to  a doctor but ive been told by my mother (who works at a hospital) that the blackouts are probably due to something blood related or lack of nutrients. Im pretty sure the stuffed feeling is normal for recovering an ED cause I get full very easly, and I also get that sick feling, usually laying down for a while helps me(it does seem to be getting better as im progressing through recovery ^^). Though I dont have any real solutions, just thought i'd let you know your not alone! lol =) mabye a visit to the doctor would do us both good ^^

I relapsed about 3 times before I finally dedicated myself. I think mainly it was because I was so uneducated and diddnt know what to expect so when I started gaining weight like crazy I diddnt know that was a normal side effect so I just cut my calories even more every time. I think that the reason for many relapses is because the person wants to stay thin while eating more food because they're aftaid of weight gain. But really gaining and then redistribution is just all apart of the process. So I think one of the main factors of recovery is to be fully educated on the subject, not just from doctors, cause I found I wanted to hear others storys just to make sure what I was goeing through was normal, and thats what still keeps me motivated today, granted im not fully recovered, but I know im fully dedicated to it. It does not have to be a life long illness im proving that to myself everyday. Mabye you should try to stay focoused on the things around you. you know "get outside of yourself" not entirely avoiding the problem but understanding that it is a problem. What really helps me is to go for a walk and notice every imperfection everywhere. I realized that to be perfect is to accept that we are imperfect, and that was big for me. It was one of the "OH! ok.. I get it now" moments, and I cant imagine life any other way ^^

Yes that is bad. Ive read most of your posts and it seems to me like your just trying different ways to ask the same question, like you arent getting the response you want? I dont know. But what I do know is that when I started eating 500 calories a day I did loose weight and then around 4 months later I started gaining weight... alot.. and I diddnt understand why so I just decreased my calories and still I kept on gaining weight  I started desperately searching the internet for reasons why, I would have never in a million years to have diagnosed my self as anorexic, but that was exactly what I was, it really does progress at a rediculoius rate.  and can be hard to controll once begun. Im lucky I found this site or else I would be on the same track. Anyways to relate this to you. If you havent started eating 500 calories a day and are just looking for people with experiences with it DONT! ive done it, it doesnt work. I eat alot more now and im acually loosing weight. What people say about "starvation mode" is actually true. please if you havent started dont. You wont see the bad effects right away but you will see them.
