| i had trouble adjusting to matinence level too. i used to be pretty obsessive and i was at the point wher ei was underweight - 107 pound and 5'7 my weights yoyoed over the years and weight gain terrifies me too. but just think about how good muscke tone looks on people like jessica alba or geri halliwell. you NEED to consume calories to build muscle. | |||

| youll probably be fine. just exercise a bit harder this week.
i used to do that, but ive found that treating myself as often as i can afford to helps to stop a big binge. also if your looking to maintain you should be eating closer to 1500 to 1600 cals a day |

| Foods | butter or margarine? | Aug 05 2007 11:35 (UTC) |

| butter wins hands down for taste and because its natural. sometimes you have to sacrifice calories so your not eating to many unnatural foods.
however i think the best choice is olive oil. |

| Foods | Lunch options | Aug 05 2007 11:30 (UTC) |
|
| clear soups are the best ones. chicken salad (skinless) with vinagerette or without dressing is good. (but watch the cheese) and get any dressing on the side. any lean meat and vegetables are a good choice. stear clear of too many "white" carbs and creamy sauces | |||

| Weight Loss | help i don't know where to start? | Jul 27 2007 14:59 (UTC) |
|
| i think your personal trainer might be a little bit off the mark. even if you need to loose large amounts of weight quickly you should still be eating 1200 calories a day, plus extra if your exercising.
I would consider speaking to your doctor. |

| ohh pick me!
i definetly think my past and my family have had a strong effect on my mentality when it comes to size and weight loss. several months ago i was at the point where i was only eating 300-500 cals a day and dangerously underweight. i think one of the causes of this was my realtionship with my family and my past- at age 12 i was a big girl probably the chubbiest of the children in my family. my father lieft my mother when i was 9 and by this time my mother had remarried to a man with 12 children, this 12 plus my biological sister and brother made for a large family where one (me being the middle child) had to be fiercly competitive to get atttention. i was always the smart, reserved one in my family but by the time i was twelve i became jealous of the attention my sisters got from everyone for being slim and pretty. i found my own positive points were not enough to give me any sense of self worth, and this was worsened by taunts from my siblings for my size. at 13 i began restricitve eating and this continued for several years. however am now on the road to recovery and have realised that my size is no indication of my value as a person (although i do love being fighting fit!) |
