ya just do it... if you want it- ya just do it. . .  I am NOT a morning person but I drag my can out of bed everymorning @ 6 and go meet friends at the gym for at least an hour workout. It's not easy and sometimes it physically hurts to get up that early but I WANT it. I want to be thin and healthy and fit & like you, work and family take up a lot of my time so I have to schedule my "me time" when te rest of my world is asleep...

Give it 21 days. commit yourself to doing it. you'll be amazed at how much easier it gets and how great you feel everyday!

if i can do it- you can too!
Weight Loss Crunch Time!!!... T minus ONE WEEK! Sep 02 2007
18:00 (UTC)
We have been changing the intensity by increasing the h/r & length weekly. I started out w/NO cardio on my first week- even though I had been consistantly running and doing well. Then she had me doing cardio and keeping a steady h/r of 155-158 then the next week we increased the h/r & length- and so on and so forth... She has me doing the stair climber (where the stairs actually move) 'cause it seems to be the easiest for me to keep my h/r consistant. Running takes it up to high and down too low- weird I know. Plus I feel like I get a great workout on the S.C. I come off that thing SOAKING WET w/out joint pain (usually) ; )

And as far as weight training- we are mixing it up all the time too. Even though I always work Quads/Glutes on Mondays the reps & weight is always changing. Chest & Shoulders on Tuesday and again- movements, reps, weights- always different...

I think my diet more than anything could use a SHOCKER! Looking back through my journal I feel like I am eating the same thing over and over again... "Power Pancakes" every morning... Chicken & salad at dinner... Can you say RUT?

I wouldn't consider the C.S. Diet dangerous- but I know it's not the best... I need something "shocking" to get the last couple lbs off. Even though I realize it will sneek back on after the reunion... I just need that last little boost of confidence... make sense?

Thank you for your advice- I am going to talk to hollie (my trainer) too about this last week of CRUNCH TIME...

Oh hunny- We should "DO LUNCH!" I am the SAME WAY! Infact today I was @ my bro's football game and instead of cheering for him I was stewing in my own thoughts of "what if I am NEVER happy in my own skin?" Somtimes I'll catch a quick glimps in an unexpected reflection and I'll think "oh- I look pretty good"... but then moments later it's all negitive thoughts again. My trainer has even tried to talk w/me about it but I quickly change the subbject. I am so not comfortable talking about myself. (except w/my cyber-stranger friends!) ; )

WOW! I can not believe all the "rage" some people have- and I'm NOT talking about those of US who suffer from PMS! LOL!

I recently went to my doc because I could NOT take the severe PMS any longer!!!

For 2 weeks (yes! 2 weeks!) before TOTM I am a B!TCH! I not only feel fat but actually LOOK fat too so I know exactly how you feel. I am so irritable and cranky and sad and emotional and tired and this month (TOTM due any day) I have a buldging ZIT on my chin- just for an added bonus. PMS IS REAL and it SUCKS! Anyone who wants to dispute that can PM me... hell you can call me on the phone- I DARE YA! : )

My doc actually prescribed ZOLFOT for the 2 weeks prior to menstration as I have no other symptoms the other 2 weeks of the month... I have been taking it and it has helped w/the emotional/mental symptoms but I am SO afraid of the weight gain associated w/zolft that I am researching other options. natural options. Anyone have any suggestions I am very open to them!

Eating healthy and working out helps a lot too but it's still hard. You "guys" have no idea what bad PMS feels like- It's heartbreaking and frustrating... I am so very thankful that I have a loving, caring and understanding husband that tries his best to help me overcome my illness... yes, I said illness.

Understandingly yours,

The "runner's runs" are very normal- as for the dizziness... I don't know what to tell you there. Maybe just keep at it- run somewhere safe or with a friend and always tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. Does that make sense?
Weight Loss a cheat day Aug 17 2007

I do 1 meal a week... I have to. I know it sounds silly but I have to let myself "cheat" one time a week. And I guess it's better to cheat on my diet than to cheat on my husband! LOL!

I actually get the same meal every week. A chicken salad from Cafe Rio. And if any of you have eaten there before- you know what I am talking about! ; ) Then as my "cheat treat" I have white chocolate FLIPS or Peanut butter chex mix... Yumm!

It may slow my progress down a bit but I figure it keeps me from going totally Loco and eating my weight is sugar cookies!

Yes- I have to agree w/the others. Your current weight is PERFECT! I am 5'8" and 150 and I am only trying to lose 10 more lbs... NOT 30! I usually wear a size 6-8 so I can imagine you must be a 4? Don't beat yourself over 10 more lbs. It's not worth it... you'll do more long term dammage than it's worth!

Be healthy! Be happy! :-D
Foods zipfizz? Aug 12 2007

I love ZIPFIZZ!!! I buy mine at COSTCO- a pack of 30 for like $27. So less than $1 each. Not too bad for an energy drink! They have 3 flavors- they're not bad but I don't sit around and "sip" them like a delicious beverage. But my friend does! LOL!

They really do give you a good "pick-me-up" without the CRASH later in the day!

You should stay as active as possible w/out constantly exercising... Does that make sense? If you have  gym class where you are getting your h/r up & getting involved in after school sports there is no reason for you to be working out more than that... just stay active and HAVE A FUN SUMMER, GIRL!

Pregnancy & Parenting Anyone wanting to get pregnant? Aug 10 2007

i am thinking about it too... I have 2 beautiful healthy children. Cooper is 7 & 1/2 and Kylie is 3 1/2 (4 years between babies was wonderful!) So now we are thinking about #3~... I have actually been pg 4 times but lost 2 babies in the second trimesters. So I am not exactly looking forward to being pg again...much less STAYING pg!!! Oh & the weight... w/Coop I gained about 50 lbs... oh, it's awful to even say it! And ky was about 40... which means this one can't be more than 30! right?

It sucks 'cause the 2 babies we lost were the 2 pregnancies that I actually exercised and watched my diet with... Doc SWEARS it is nothing but coninsciedense- but it still scares me.

pregnancy makes me tired and hungry... not a good combination!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU LADIES! HERE'S TO HAPPY HEALTHY 2008 BABIES! : D

LOL! What a fun idea! We live in SLC, UT and my husband has been a die hard YANKEE fan since 1979! but I don't think you'd want him on your "team!" 'cause he is trying to GAIN weight!!! His trainer has him on a 5,000 cal diet in hopes of getting 15 lbs on! It's pretty obnoxious living with him! LOL!

On a side note- I got my husband & son airline tickets and tickets to the YANKEE/ANGEL game this month in California for his birthday! I hope they get harassed too much by the angel fans!

Good LUCK YANKEES!!!

i AM the official President of the "I HATE MY SCALE CLUB!" Wanna join? LOL!... I started working w/a trainer about 3 weeks ago and did not weigh- I "know" about what I weigh (within a few lbs) but we have been doing so much weight training that I am affraid to see the numbers going UP even though I know the inches are going down...

MY CLUB MOTTO:

"I HATE MY SCALE! I AM BETTER THAN A NUMBER!" :D

You have to make sure you are writting everything down!!! 'Cause sometimes you can forget about a 200 calorie snack here and there and that could hault your weightloss... Another trick I use- I have a dry erase board on my fridge and every morning I draw 13 little Squares on it and as I eat throughout the day I will put an "X" through a square for every 100 calories I eat (If I don't have time to log it in my journal at that moment) But I still try and keep a journal 'cause it's so nice to be able to look back and see changes in your diet and be able to pinpoint "problem areas" or TTOM or cravings etc... I also keep a workout log for the same reason. Sometimes you don't realize for weeks that something works better others...

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Weight Loss Not losing weight-what am i doing wrong? Aug 06 2007
16:09 (UTC)
How long have you been working at it? Sometimes it takes the body a few weeks and even a couple months before it's willing to let go of the fat... And I agree w/the others about x training... Try cycling class this week and see if that "shocks" your body!

If you want to take it to the extreme=  Eat ONLY "clean" foods. (Foods that you find on the OUTSIDE iles of the grocery store- produce (lots of GREENS!), only lean meats, some dairy etc) It's a lot easier said than done. = ) But I think that may help you overcome your sticky spot. . .

Good luck and keep on truckin!

We are a pair aren't we JBART! LOL!!!

My first sign is the "blind spot" in my eye. I can look at a clock and see the 12 but not the 2 etc... If I am looking at your face I can see your eye but not your nose... Then after the blind spot I get the numb hand... Then ususally totally senstive to sound and some times light. Then I get totally STUPID! I can't think of words or people... Scars the HELL out of me... Then the pain. Sweet mother of Jesus the pain... Oh, and the nausea. That's an occasional added bonus... today I caught it pretty early and took excedrine migraine and that seemed to help- now I just have a bad headache and I still feel stupid! I feel like I am typing in slow motion 'cause my head and hands still aren'nt in sync.

JBart- we should hide in a closet somewhere! LOL!
