| watchmeshine82-I understand the feeling of being overwhelmed by weight loss. I have been heavy set since I was in the 8th grade. (I'm 25 now) It has been a struggle, especially coming from a family that is all tall, thin people, who believe how you look is the most important thing. I have slowly been taking of the weight. I do a mixture of workouts. I have a few friends I walk with about 3 days a week. I go to the gym once a week and try to do walk a way the pounds video when I don't get the other workouts done. Since July I have lost 15 lbs....The last few months have been hard on me as I have been sick a lot. But I am back at it now. It is hard to find someone who can understand the struggle we go through, because they have never experienced it. That is one of the things that is that is so great about this thread. We are all going through the same struggles.
For those of you that are new....Welcome. I hope that you get as much out of this thread as I have. We weigh in on mondays so please join us. I hope that everyone is having a successfull week so far. I think I might have actually lost a lb or two...we shall see on monday. Have a great rest of the weekend. | I am so happy to see that there are a few of us left on here. Congrats to everyone who has been losing weight. I totaly understand the goal of wanting to look good for a wedding. I am in one in July and the rest of the wedding party are very small thin girls...then there's me...tall and full figured...They like to tease me, but I just tell them...At least I have boobs..It should be a good time. | Ok..It's Monday and I'm actually going to get back at this weighing in thing....Going to stick with it..I was doing really well when I was weighing in each week.

| I also vote for the walk away the pounds videos. I use them. It's really nice. I can either do a quick mile if i'm running short on time or the 3 or 4 mile walks if I have more time. | |||

| Bethystan-I totaly understand the being sick thing and not making it to the gym. Though I am not as bad as you, I am on my second sinus infection in two months. Going to the gym has not been on my priority list as it is hard to breath. I'm hoping to get back on track next week. I hope that that you start feeling better.

Sorry that i haven't posted on here in forever. Life has been crazy around here and I've finally got my life back on tract. Start weight: 240 Last time I weighed in:224 This week: 227 I gained 3lbs but I haven't been working out or weighed in, in the last month or so. | Ladies, the last couple of weeks are starting to catch up with me. I had been sick and not i'm out of the habit of going and working out. I think I've put a few pounds back on...I'm hoping not and hoping I can make it to the gym this week at least twice. Hope everyone has a spook-tacular day and week.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I went to the doctors yesterday and I have a really bad sinus infection. I am doing much better today, even got out and worked in the yard for a while. Getting the leaves raked takes a lot of energy out of you. Hope everyone is having a great week. Anita |

| So Ladies,
I am feeling very discouraged this week. I've been so sick lately that I haven't had the energy to work out. It has been an effort to even make it to work. Don't have a problem eating though. I'm really afraid that the scale is not going to be nice to me this coming monday. I just wish I had the energy to even take a walk. I'm doing good to make it through a whole day of work and not be asleep on my feet when I get home. Any advice or words of encouragement you might have would be appreciated. One sick chick. Anita |

| getfit2008- I have similar stats to that which you started at. I haven't lost as much as you though I am working very hard at it and making very slow process. I'm 25 just shy of 5'9" and as of last week weighed 226 lbs. I'm just fitting into an 18 which is great because for a while that was not a possibility. I didn't get on the scale this morning so I'll be weighing in officially tomorrow. I started in June at 240 so I'm almost down 15lbs. I hoping that is were I will be at tomorrow. Good luck this week.

I hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend if you get one (i have columbus day off) So much to my suprise I didn't gain weight this week. I didn't make the best food choices this weekend and I went out to the bar both friday and saturday night. Any ways here are my stats for the week. | monalisa-my face has slimmed down...when i was at my highest weight of 240 I had lost the slight dimple I have in my cheek. I was noticing it is back. Then again i haven't noticed one particlar place i have lost weight. It has kinda been coming off porpotionally accross my body. Which is nice. I wish you the best of luck.

| So it's monday and the moment of truth. The scale was almost nice to me this week.
Last week: 230 lbs THis week 229 lbs Well a little head way is better then none. Cupid: I'm sorry your wedding plans are not going as hoped. Just don't become a bridezila...like the bride i'm dealing with. She told me she wants to order dresses for her JULY wedding in NOVEMBER..we are supposed to work on maintaining weight for the next 10 months so that we wont have to alter the dresses that much...work my exersice program around that please....I was so mad..still not really talking to her...not a big deal as the other brides maid is like a size 4....see's the same size..anyways enough ranting. | Bethystan-that's a really good idea. I bought a new exercise tape last week and have been doing that. I also have been suffering from a slight flue bug...Nothing major....So we shall see how this week treats me.
If anyone is looking for an exersice tape/DVD to do at home I have just started a new one it will really makes you sweat. IT is call Walk Slim-Four Fast Miles... by Leslie Sansone. It only take 50 minutes if you do the whole thing or it is set up so that you know when you hit each mile marker so you can stop at 1,2, or 3 miles. It's also great if you live somewere that the gym is small and can't always get in or it's raining out side and can't get out. | Livefree-I hope so. It will be a challenge. I leave today for my parents. Then Friday for an Irish Festival in CO. Which means my mom's cooking and resturants. not a good compination of a week. I don't get back home till tuesday night. I'm going to have to be very carefull with what I eat. But it will be a blast. Haven't seen my mom since May and my little brother since X-mas.
