The things you crave when you are on your period are things that contain some nutrient your body wants because it is loosing them or using them up more quickly.

They should at least say that patrons will be charged more if someone shovels down mounds of the more expensive dishes. There are different ways that they can do things. I think that springing the charge on them like that was wrong.

I was going through this round about last year and the year before trying to find an internship and, when that failed, a summer job. I am a computer Science major with a business minor. My problem was even getting an interview. I've landed, or gotten a job offer for, every job I've gotten an interview for. I wouldn't ever even get an interview with at ice cream places and for a minimum wage shelf stocking position. This year I got lucky. After putting in resumes to a dozen or more internship programs I got hired by the DoD. They have since given me a standing job offer when I graduate in MaySmile. Even though I have been struck by this good fortune, I'm going to put out resumes to other places just to see what they offer. It is nice to know that I have a job when I graduate though.

I bought the Metabolic Typing Diet book and I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival in the mail. I have had a problem with my diet since I've been back at school because I eat in the Cafeteria and I have to eat what they make, where as over the summer I ate what I craved (within reason).  I have noticed that I go into what my cousin calls a "carb coma" when ever I eat alot of carbs, which means that I become lethargic when I eat alot of carbs. However, I have noticed that I get a huge energy boost when I eat meats, even red meat. I am eager to learn what the book has to say. I'll keep you guys posted.

It depends on what type of person you are. If food makes it harder for you to sleep, don't eat before bed. If going to bed on an empty stomach makes it harder to sleep, eat something. Just don't eat anything high in sugar as that could be bad for your teeth.

I can't find one thing i read (from an actual, reliable health website). I found plenty of other sites with nutritionists offering to do different tests to accurately find what your metabolic type is. There have been many books written on the topic (I just don't have they money to buy them).  Here is a article from Women Fitness and one from World Wide Health Center. I'm considering giving it a shot and perhaps getting typed. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this or heard about it.

There is actually research out there that suggests that milk products with at least some milkfat left, are more effective at promoting weight loss with 3 servings a day

Weight Loss Problem with spacing out my calories. Jan 09 2008

I just realized what my problem is. I was listing out my meals that I had eaten yesterday to someone who had send me a PM with advice and I came to a startling conclusion. I am not eating enough veggies. I only had 2 servings of veggies yesterday. That is something I've stopped doing recently without realizing it.

Thanks for all the advice

Eat as much as you can, even if it is just enough to keep pain pills from killing your stomach. Try drinking fruit juice or sports drinks to get some extra calories in ya would also be a good idea. Try some broth or putting some fruit, ice, and milk in a blender and drinking that (One smoothie that is good is a Peanut butter banana smoothie)

You should be fine. A general rule is that you don't have more then a 1000 calorie deficit. That means natural burn + exercise = 2510 - Calories eaten (1500) = 1010. You should be fine. The rule that you shouldn't eat less then 1200 calories applies (with or without exercise). You are intaking more than 1200 and have a deficit around 1000. It's perfectly fine.

Vanity sizing is going crazy.

My youngest sister buys XS shirts but she has to pin 2 inches in the back to make them fit right.

Anything she does is going to meet resistance. I'll just say what my mom did when I was younger.

If I flopped on the floor in the store about changing my mind on a toy my mom would say, "Stop now or you will not get the toy". If i continued she gave me a choice between loosing the toy and not getting a spanking and loosing the toy and getting a spanking. (Just a note, getting a toy EVERY time they go to the store gives the child a sense of entitlement. I've seen it happen with my cousins.)

If i grabbed at the bag of McDonalds when I was younger I would have to wait till everyone else was done eating and I only got my burger and water. No fries, soda or toy.

The biggest thing is consistency. It is highly possible that he is more spoiled because she feels sorry for him because he might be feeling upset that his dad isn't in the picture (the younger kids my have been too young to know their dad or have a different dad).

Counseling would probably be a good idea in any case.

One drink I like is called a Goldfinger.

Vodka

Goldschlagger

and a dash of peach schapps

Its yummy and it will knock you on your butt.

Another drink is a Mind Eraser, it lives up to its name if you have had one or two drinks already.

Weight Loss Disenchantment? Jan 07 2008

On another note. I'm at work from 6:30-3:30 and I pack everything ahead of time. Here is my average meal during a work day.

Breakfast:

-Medium to large banana

-One single serving pack of cottage cheese

Mid morning snack:

- several servings of oranges or grapes or an apple

Lunch:

-Healthy Choice microwave meal (without dessert)

-one stick of low-fat string cheese

-one cup of jello low fat pudding

After lunch snack:

-a serving of walnuts or a piece of fruit

Once I get home I eat a sensible dinner and perhaps a bedtime snack.

As you can see, healthy, prepackaged foods are a staple in my diet. I couldn't function without them. It makes life so much easier. Another option for me is to bring leftovers from the night before for lunch the next day.

Hope this helps

Spices all the way. Virtually negligible in calories and full of taste and flavor.

On another note, you can get healthy varieties of your favorite foods. I eat pizza and pasta regularly. My pizza is whole wheat with veggie or poultry toppings. My pasta is whole grain with home made meat sauce. I have a really good recipe for meat sauce. http://caloriecount.about.com/recipe/55020.ht ml It is really good and you can add a bit of sausage for more flavor.

Give yourself a little of what you crave, that is the way not to go on a huge binge.

Good Luck
