I'm not a vegetarian, but I sure love some of the food my vegan friend makes. I also like the vegetarian bacon, morning star's mushroom burgers, polenta with onion. mmmnnn it's all good.

I did a bit of cardio for a couple weeks before I started. They have a pre-test but unless you are very out of shape you can do it.

Just do what you can. If you buy it from beachbody you get the whole package. The videos of course but the diet guide as well. The diet is just as important as the workouts.

 

I am way over weight, I am about 1/2 through it and lost 18 lbs so far. But I do the shakeology, the recovery drink and don't skip any workouts. I doubt I will end up looking like those guys on TV but you can definitely notice a difference in how you look and feel in a very short time.

I recommend it.

It might be that you are building muscle. Muscle being heavier than fat.  Did you measure yourself, I bet if you did you would see you are loosing inches in key places.

Yes, I too had to get new shoes myself - need cross trainers. My new ones had so much grip on our gym floor that the first time I used them I twisted my upper ankle!

My wife bought Asix and she loves them. She got them at Rack Room shoes.

Mine are just a set of $50 New Balance and are okay but you should at least check out the Asix.

Tomorrow is my Day 30!

I am down 15 lbs so far!

My P90x coach wants me to eat more and workout more in order to loose more. :-)

P90x rocks. We got 9 people at my work now on the program. We work out Monday through Saturday. I also do an X Stretch on Sunday.

I am way over weight so the changes they see on me are blowing them away. I eat 1800-2000 calories per day and am loosing about 3 pounds a week and inches around my belly.

Do try water and if you must Special K makes a powder you can add to your bottled water. They call it protein water but not that much protein in it.

Diet alone does not work.

To be healthy and loose weight you need to excercise with strength training and do cardio every other workout.

A healthy person burns more calories than someone out of shape, even at rest.

Ali is some nasty stuff. I know someone who used it and could not believe the stories she told me. The idea is to get the poison out of your system not put new poison in it! You also need to speed up your metaboizm by working out. Getting your body to burn more calories naturally.

When you diet alone you will be hungry and tired. When your tired you dont excercise you sit around and and you loose more muscle and burn less calories. This means you need to eat even less next month.

If you work out regularly, comparatively speaking, you can eat like a pig (provided it is low fat) and not gain weight.

Anyone recall the news when they said what Michael Phelps would eat during the day while training for the Olympics?

The key is high octaine, fuel. That means, Low fat, balance your protein and carbs and get out to the gym.

I am on it.

I like that it is not boring!

P90x is not just a workout but a full plan including nutrition and making the right choices.

I just got back from a long weekend vacation and applied what I learned in the P90x program as far as food choices and activities go.

I was surprised to see that not only did I not gain weight but I actually lost another pound.

yep, I am in the same boat.

My pullups are pretty pathetic, but I continually try even if I get half way up and just hold it.

When i got home I looked at the box. It was considerably higher than what is on calorie count.

The ones I got are 100 calories each! The size? Index finger to thumb is a very good estimation, they looked like bay scallops. They looked small.

Oh well, they were good, but wont make them a habit.

Hi Sam,

Count me in. I am trying to rid myself of 75 LBS.

I gained weight and then quit smoking a year ago and gained a ton so got hit with a double whammey.

I want to be at 175 again.  I am pretty sure the first 25 will go easy for me but after that will require a lot more effort.

I have a Bowflex with the rods and a nice hybrid bike I can ride.

After completing my first week here on cc and keeping my calorie intake close to 1800 I have lost 7 pounds.  Hopefully I can keep up some of this momentum!

Once the oats are done, I stir in the sugar and the fruit, which cools the oatmeal and cooks the fruit a bit, then I stir in the yogurt. The whole thing works out to about 300 cal for breakfast, it's delicous, and keeps me full for a long time.

This is pretty much the only thing that is consistent day to day foodwise for me. I get bored if I eat the same thing over and over again for too many meals.

 OMG that sounds awesome, I am going to try that!
