Hello, I'm 4'11 with a 24 inch waist and 36 inch hips. My chest is only 32 inches though. So if you are naturally a pear shape, if you lose inches from your waist and hips, you may lose inches from your chest also.

| Hello Mischiefdm,
I haven't checked this in a while. I actually don't count calories anymore, I just estimate. I do keep up my weight log for the most part. Today I'm at 112.6, 22.7 BMI which is my lowest weight in months. I would like to get to 110 and continue to reduce body fat but it has been pretty difficult for me to get below 113. Hopefully I can lose last 2.5 pounds within the next month. Roc07 |

| Banana Republic and the Gap have petites clothes online.
The Limited and NY&Co sell short pants. Some department stores such as Macy's and Lord and Taylor have petite departments. INC. from Macy's has a pretty good selection. |

| I was diagnosed with celiac 5 years ago and have been eating a GF diet since then. I did not have any of the typical physical symptoms before I was diagnosed, but I do now if I eat anything with gluten. I just felt tired all the time and I developed a terrible skin condition on my face. I was diagnosed by my GP with a blood test. I also was deficient in vitamin B-12. Since I starting eating a GF diet, I have felt much better, my skin cleared up and I lost weight because I no longer eat bread, cake, cookies, crakers, etc. I used to eat a lot of carbs before starting the GF diet. | |||

Good job on the three pounds! I'm sure you'll reach your goal on schedule or beforehand. Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure about my sodium intake. I will have to start monitoring it more carefully. It is also quite possible that I was dehydrated. It is not TOM yet but I usually get a really low weight the day before TOM and then it spikes up 2-4 pounds. It's really hard because some of the added weight stays on after TOM. As for my activity level, for aerobics it would be high; dance classes are moderate. I may have to adjust back to 1200 to lose weight which is what CC recommended. Even then I only get a 500 deficit. |

| Hello all,
I need a boost. At the beginning of last week I was very excited to be at 112.6. Today I'm 116. My goal is to get to 110 and tone up. I did aerobics last week Monday and took dance classes on Thursday Saturday and Sunday. I don't log calories daily, but estimate that I was between 1400-1500 per day (I'm 4'11). Any tips? |

| mischiefdm- I think 128 is a reasonable goal for you as it is a healthy weight for your height. I think the happy weight calculator is recommending a healthy weight that you can easily maintain given your lifestyle (only a guideline). It may be a little more challenging for you to maintain at 128, but it is definately doable. Good luck! | |||

| Oh well. Guess the happy weight calculator doesn't work so well for everyone. I found it helpful because it put me at 111.9 and my own personal goal was 110. So this confirmed that this will be a good weight range for me to maintain. I'm currently about 113-115, wanting to be at 110-113.
It's just that I see so many people on CC who are much taller wanting to weigh less than my GW, it sometimes makes me question if I should go lower. But I've decided not to even though I could still be healthy because I don't want to spend every moment of my life trying to maintain at 100 pounds. I'll just keep working on my BF%. |

| I don't tell many people I am trying to lose weight unless they are close friends. I just say that I'm trying to make more healthy food choices and trying to become more fit. People usually don't have much to say about that.
I haven't had the best day foodwise. I've already eaten about 1250 calories so that means a light dinner for me. |

| Hello,
I'm 4'11 too. The tools on CC tell me that I should consume 1200 to reach my weight loss goals. If you enter you height, weight and goal date, the system will calculate your ideal calorie consumption for weight loss. It takes in consideration your activity level as well so you may be able to consume 1500 and lose weight since your are more active than I am. |

| I actually lost 2 pounds since Thanksgiving even with attending about 7 or 8 parties, visiting relatives with lots of leftovers, and more eating out than normal. I don't ever really count calories though. I eat when hungry, stop when full and monitor my weight daily on the scale. When I see an upward trend, I start to watch my calories and portion sizes more closely. | |||

| I went to see my parents. I had a small serving of Turkey with a little gravy, green beans, turnips greans, and corn bread casserole and cranberry sauce. I had one slice of sweet potato pie with no crust because I do not eat gluten.
I enjoyed the dinner thoroughly and did not overdo my food portions. I had leftovers on Friday, basically the same menu. When I got home Saturday, I discovered that I did not gain any weight! Unfortunately I have been snacking on chips incessently since Sunday, but that's another story (yikes) |

| I am 4'11 and currently 117 pounds although my goal weight is 110. When I was in my early 20's I was 92-98 pounds which is a healthy weight for my height. I noticed that when I hit my mid-twenties, my weight started to shift around and my clothes didn't fit as well probably due to a loss of muscle tone.
I think that 95 pounds is a healthy weight for you if you are only 5 feet tall but 103 is also a healthy weight for your height. If you continue to eat so few calories, you will most likely lose more muscle. I would suggest that you gradually increase your calories to a healthy range 1200-1400 per day and increase your strength training. This will keep you looking leaner regardless of the numbers of the scale. You may also try taking your measurements as a way to avoid the scale obsession. Good luck, roc07 |
