Hey ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA I had a 2-3 day stomach virus. The good part is I am down 4lbs to 212 from 216 ! Yeah I know its probably just dehydration/illness but still happy to see it (smile) I have a busy weekend so i won't be able to officially check in until tuesday. I am going to Houston, Texas my older sister had a baby girl. Hope every one has a great weekend.

Kudos to all who already made their goal!!!!!!!!

An no it can't be over on the 24th!!!!!!

my CC friend jess warned me it was addictive here and boy was she right. I look at the journal before I log in my morning calories! Once I start writing I can't stop. I feel like so comfortable sharing my thoughts and getting the wonderful feedback from everyone. It to the point where I am upset when someone starts a SAGA and doesn't write back fast enough. Almost like a  sopa opera. reading about other peoples lives is so interesting to me or  I am just nosey as hell LOL. Either way I am a junkie too olivia (as you already know)

Hey ladies,

NOTE TO EVERYONE!!! Jillian Michaels is NOT your friend!!!!! But boy is she my new best buddy!!!! I have to thank Zochia for reminding me I had the 30 day shred. I have been soing it for the past two days and i have never been so optimistic about losing weight before. This hurts so good and got my heart rate pumping and got ME using weights I hate weights. This has got to work. I even did my walking today (I can't wait until I graduate to running). I am feeling great and just wanted to share with you all. I have to go make dinner so I will try to check in later....if my arms stop hurting. LOL

Did someone say shirt tucking that a long way off for me. LOL

Nice to meet you Olivia, I too am a CC addict my name is Tanjier LOL

So the weekend was good. My stepdaughter's recital was the bomb. That means it was a great show to those of you who don't do slang. We all hung out as a family her mother and I have a long history (see journal) but we put it all behind us and got along fabulously. I almost wish she could be my new BFF LOL I don't know if my husband would like that but we had so much in common ie weight issues, spouse issues, work you name it. So I am starting a new club (in my mind ofcourse) that prohibits bad thoughts , jealous or just plain mean against other women. Unless really really justified.

I was ok with exercise this weekend I got a couple great walks in. I had my son so no speed or wogging but long distances. My meals were ok. Not great but it's mon so I will prepare all my meals for the week today. That really helps me not mess up. I am actually looking forward to weigh in this friday.

My hubby calls me a freak for checking in on the weekends, if he only knew how many times during the week I checked in and replied :)

Zochia I did that video once and yes it is fantastic thanks for reminding me about it. Afterwards I was so sore I cursed her for days.

Thanks so much you guys I will NOT give up!! I know today is a new day. We weighed in this morning and now its another commitment which I need to keep me pushing. I know it should be for me but I do love a bit of help and concern. SO THANK YOU Ladies you help keep me motivated to keep on this hard journey to wellness.  I weighed in at 217 so I haven't gained it ALL back which felt good. But I am the biggest one in the race :) Hopefully that will work in my favor usually the big one drops weight faster right? LOL

You ladies are one of reasons I can't give up because I love chatting with you all and reading the post daily what would I write if I gave up?

Sorry I have been MIA I am not doing so well lately. I am struggling a little. I went food shopping the other day and although I brought healthy food and snacks its just too much of it around. I binged on cheddar pretzels and 100 cal packs for 2 days. I am trying to get back on track. Tommorrow I have to weigh in for my Biggest loser at work and then here on Fri I am not happy. I believe I am back to my starting weight and I am in tears at the thought. I have let myself down again and am very disappointed, but I have not fell of the wagon completely this time. So here I am picking myself back up again. This is really hard!!

I will check in tomm.

Mcdonalds has a nutrition list with all of the calories listed now. I got one the other day and it hepled me make good choices. I got a grilled chicken salad with vinagrette dressing for 300 cal total. Always have water and yes I agree with feanor have a small no added sauces. The grilled chicken sandwich from McDonalds is 570 cal no way! Wendy's has a good chili side salad. Just be careful with the dressing.

I feel your pain. I started walking in my neighborhood first them wogging. I got some stairs I am big girl 5'9 216lbs. But also some cat calls too. Get some cute sweats or wahtever you feel comfortable in and just walk. Later when you lose some you may feel more comfortable to join a gym but I am not the gym girl. I prefer working out at home with my tapes. I would love an exercise class though. so maybe soon I will join for that. But don't rush your self you can still lose by working out at home. A couple of weeks ago I went to the park with my kids and brought my jump rope. I didn't think about it until later but I must have been a sight to see boob every where LOL , but I was so anxious to sqeeze in a work out I DIDN"T GIVE A DAMN!

Congrats to everyone!!! This sounds like a good week. I will try to update this weekend.

I was soo good today!! I even turned down pound cake and a friday afternoon starbucks run! Then......

I can home and started to prepare my shrimps to be grilled for my fav shrimp salad. I found a great cranberry vinagrette without HFCS and only 40cal per 2 teaspoons. SO my hubby who has been deadly ill with horrible allergies finally felt well enough to eat after the wonderful Zyrtec I bought him (it works). He really wanted pizza hut (they have a new pasta dish) so I (bright idea) figured it was a great time (late not hot anymore) for me to speed walk over to pizza hut and back. Thats the only thing I did right. When I got back I made my salad ate my salad enjoyed my salad. Then... heard the pasta calling me.... Tanjier, Tanjier, just have a small saucer so I did but then the bastard pasta started stalking me....so I had one more small saucer.

Now I know what you all are thinking.. thats not so bad. But I wanted to have the will power to not have ANY. I wanted to have enough self control to have 1 saucer full. I am glad I walked but next time the hubby has to pick something that can't be shared LOL !

hey lynn,

that is also me and my hubby, I still have an AB ROLLER remember those!! LOL and we just sold my hubby's weight bench that he NEVER used. Remaining I have the resistance bands, weights, jump rope and my stationary bike. I would love to add an exercise ball to my existing junk

hey ladies,

It ttotm but I am only up a lb 217 so far i worked  my butt off this week. I am determined to NOT gain that 5lbs during my cycle. Last night I went shopping for myself which  was probably a bit selfish but my hubby totally understood. I spent $60 bucks and got all my lunch for next week and fruit. I didn't buy a lot of snacks but coming home I thought I better get some 100 cal packs or atleast some pudding, for those times I need a sweet fix. I bought all fish for lunch my coworkers are going to want to kill me next week when I heat it up but I am sure I will have to share some.

My SIL is so on the bandwagon now I am thrilled. We have a free gym by me I have been wanting to try(I do love working out in my living room best) but I could use a couple pointers and tips. We would just be using the elliptical machine and taking classes. She has put on a little weight and is very unhappy. I feel bad for treating her like it was no big deal because she is way smaller than me, because if she is unhappy I need to support her. After reading how hard you girls work and your weight I realize we are all different and to me 180 sounds good right now but to you 140.130 soods great.

Keep up the good work you all and I will respond to post later!

The girls at my job are soo jealous of the motivation I get from you wonderful ladies they have decided to start a biggest loser contest in our office. They asked me last because as one of them put it "you already have a support group" LOL but they did LET me join, so I can't wait to win the pot we are doing $20 each and so far it is 7 of us. I AM SO going to win we have a month to see who loses the most weight.

With all of this motivation I should look like Beyonce in no time LOL LOL LOL

I hate that it is such a double standard in life. If this was a woman writing to us about her husband, every body would be saying what a bastard he is and how if he loved her it shouldn't matter. I have a wonderful husband who loved me at 130 (16 yrs ) and loves me now at 216(30 yrs old). Sure I want to lose weight to feel more attractive to him and I am sure he will appreciate my new stamina LOL but if he wasn't attracted to me because of a little weight gain I would be PISSED, and yes feel VERY REJECTED. I suggest that maybe she has another problem with you like someone said prior because I could not see hurting my husbands feelings that way. losing weight is NOT easy. An especially when someone makes you feel you have to, to win their affections again. What ever happen to LOVE I love my husband and understand that **** happens. We have kids. We get older. We get content. If your appearance means more to her than your health you guys should definitely continue conseling.

hey ladies,

So this weekend i wasn't so good. I gave a party friday night and had to go to Chucky Cheese on Sat for another party. My son rules my weekends and yes I secretly love it. I was so busy both days I figured whatever I ate would burn so I over did it on the pizza and felt like a fat pig all weekend. I got out and walked yesterday. I needed to get season 2 of Grey's Anatomy so I wogged all the way 1/2 there 1/2 back, only to discover that the hubby "borrowed" my dvd player's  wires for his "new" DVD recorder. Talk about wanting to cry,murder, scream I was so disappointed!! He did give it back to me after he was done taping the game but by then I was too mad to enjoy my show. The bright side is that my weight even after the pizza and fried fish was the same this morning.

hello ladies,

the encouragement on this board made me work out late last night and guess who couldn't get to sleep after that? ME I was up watching Law ans Order SVU on DVR at 1:30 AM. AM I CRAZY? I have to be up at 5:45 to get to work at 7:00. To top that off The POPE is in NYC and the streets are shut down everywhere! So I thank you all for the wonderful encouraging words but next time not right before bed the day before weigh in ! LOL

I am still 216 I got down to 215 tues but have been 216 for two days so I 'll take that. I didn't work out much this week due to uninvited company two days in a row. My husband and I are the couple to come to with marital problems we should start charging for it! Too bad we don't communicate that well with each other. Tonight is the b'day party I'm hosting for my stepdaughter. It's Disney Princess theme. So we got her a huge icecream cake from Coldstone Creamery, so wish me luck ladies!

Hey ladies,

So I will be posting a list for ALL to see on Saturday of our progress so far after weigh in this 3rd Week. I am not looking forward to weigh this week. I didn't work out as much as i would have liked to so I have atleast stayed the same. My step daughter is having a mini afterwork b'day party tommorrow, and she requested my fried fish and crab salad. She'll only be six but knows what she likes. So I will of course weigh in first thing in the AM.

Sorry for the short post but for some reason I have been swamped with work this week can't wait til its over! One more day.

hey ladies do you know what I thought would be cool. If we could make a list of everyone with our starting weight and its been 2 weigh in right? then our current weight. I feel like if its posted all together we can see our overall percentage lost.

I will wait for some feedback but would not mind at all if you ladies disagree so please let me know. I will compile the list if thats ok with the big O (Olivia) LOL well the little O now lol

There were a couple of reasons I knew I HAD to lose the weight. I could run to the bus stop at all anymore. My son said his teacher was FAT and I am bigger than her.LOL I went to buy jeans and saw that even the biggest size in H&M would go up my jumbo thighs. I stepped on a scale at target in front of my brother n law who saw my weight and said "damn you don't look THAT big you weigh more than me". Then I saw a promo for Dr. Ian Smith's weight loss challenage where he says that you can control your own health just by eating better and adding a little exercise. How that could be the difference in you getting high blood pressure and diabetes. That did it for Me !!! And here I am 3weeks later down 6lbs and counting.

Stephie- I am now on my 3rd week with little to NO white carbs, sugar. I have been enjoying my brown rice and for a little sweet my fruits have been my best  friend.  So I plan to continue so I will be with you this week!!!

I don't miss the carbs but the sugar has been hard. I haven't had any but, boy did I want some juice atleast.

Hey ladies,

Hope everyone's wekend is going well. I plan to make the most of this sunday. I have to take my son to Barnes and Noble his school is having a fundraiser there today. I am a nerd when it comes to reading and especially books for my son. I am excited about it, now to work on the hubby, the Lakers (basketball) play today so wish me luck getting him off the couch.

Last night we went to great grandma's birthday party at Crab Shanty. I was so nervous I didn't even have a glass of wine. I looked up the menu before we went but to smell and see the food was different. My hubby and I shared a crab platter but the butter and crab stuffing was my down fall. I came home and got on my bike (hated it).

Anje- twins wow how wonderful, yes I am surprised you get a chance to eat at all!

Zochia- It perfectly ok to encourage others even when you are havinhg a difficult time. You are doing great don't fret.

Olivia- Welcome back... all is right with the world again!

rachel- 101 lbs of fun here you come congrats !

Ka 8lbs WOW!!!! congrats

Amy- You WILL make that goal this time we are in this together. And jumping rope in the park was a crazy idea I guess the other moms were laughing at me. So much for being motivated. (smile) I do have a great sports bra though so no boobie injuries. LOL and re: the cheat day no I don't have one I may treat myself to a little something but a whole day off for me would be like a little crack every now and then LOL I do skip a workout on one weekend day.


Puppykisses- don;t be discourages tomm is a new day. Keep up the hard work it pays off.


And to every one else I am so proud to be amongst losers i never though I would find myself EVER saying that. No but really you ladies keep me focused and on the right path. THANK YOU ALL !!! Tommorrows a new week so if it didn't happen this week it will next week.

My husband sounds like his twin. Same height same weight. We have been married for 4 yrs gradually we have both put on weight together. I have been complaining since then (also had a baby) since we started gaining but he seem comfortable with it. So I completely changed his way of looking at it and made it strictly for healh reasons not vanity reasons. This helped a bit he has started walking EVERYWHERE. But still continues to eat what he pleases. I have also been doing the grocery shopping alone this past week. He didn't complain when I brought home all healthy stuff and he ate most of it. So gradually just change what you make for dinner and trick him into some extra exercise. He may come around but HE has to want to do it for HIMSELF. Thats what happened to me i had to make the decision for MYSELF and I'm sure it happened to you to.So let it happen for him, hopefully it will be before any health issues arise.

I have made small shanges all of which I am happy to say I don't miss much.
I don't drink juice anymore or soda just water
I don't eat any white foods only whole grains
I have lowered my food portions.
I have started reading all labels and lowered my sugar intake
I have startrd taking my lunch to work.
I have started working out regularly.
I have added more fish to my daily meals.

Notice I haven't called them habits yet I am a work in progress. I will call then habits after my 1st month.

Do you have a Ashley Stewart by you ? They now start at a 12 and they have the cutest stuff. All of the types of clothes they have for skinny girls just cut better for us.

Ok so why is it all week I was down 3lbs and today even after I worked out this morning my weight has gone back up to 220 is this some kind of horrible joke. Yesterday all i ate different from the rest off the week was a hambuger on a wheat bun and didn't even get the damn fries. Breakfast was the same and dinner was salmon and brown rice. I drank my same amount of water. I even skipped a snack. I am wondering if that might flucuate again today. Has this happen to anyone?


Sorry.... scratch all of that I weighed again and its fine!!! I think it was some weird morning fluk. Anyway I am ok now. All  is well in the world again. LOL

The cravings at ttom are sooo bad but thats the one time I give in to the chocolate or my coworkers and family would have to pay lol.

Usually by my 5-6 day the retention and bloating subside last month I put on 4-5 lbs with it and they went away before i was done. But here at CC the girls have been saying to give it a full 2 days I think.

And yes the birth control helps for cramps but cravings not so much for me!

Ms dagle: Good trying those new video's it's always hard beginning but you'll be so proud when you are able to do them with ease. How cute your son is for wanting to keep you company and lose some belly at the same time.

I tried Jillian Michaels(biggest loser)  tape the other day and almost killed myself but I WILL do it in its entirety(sp) soon.
