Well I did my 2nd half marathon this past Saturday, my time was better than last year, 2:36:11, last year was 2:38....I think it might have been better than that if the wind wouldn't have been so bad, but I did it and will probalby do it again next year. I did jog pretty much all of it but a mile.....my minute average was 11:56 which I am not happy with at all, I definitley want low 10's or high 9's....

I am going to focus more on 5K's now, getting time shaved off of those, I need to be able to do them in under 30 minutes....or that's what I would love to do.

Cassy so glad to see you...got worried hadn't heard from you n a while. Any tips for improving my time, I think I have the endurance down.

I am trying to keep up going to the gym and so far so good, I think I'm in a good mind frame at the moment just hope I can keep it up.

Will do most of my running on the treadmill unless the weekends are pretty and can get out, it's dark when I get off work.

been off and on this week......got to get back on track....1/2 Marathon is coming up fast and I haven't been joggin nearly as much as I need toooooooo....my fault......

Been on track this week....hoping to stay on track this weekend......it's goin to be hard maybe if I'm a little worse on my eating I can make myself go jog.

2 weeks of basically doing nothing did exactly that nothing except cause me to gain some weihgt, no one to blame but me, but back on track this week and have decided I'm just making it harder on myself to skip a week here and there becuase i have to basically start all over....so we will see how this goes, got to the gym last night work out and about 30 minutes on the treadmill before I had to pick Summer up from tumbling class.

Going to try to be good.......

Hey everyone!! Well I have been on vacation the last 2 weeks, literally on vacaation from everything no exercise eating has been hit and miss....tongiht will go out with hubby to celebrate our anniversary, 13 years Sunday, he's great.

Kids are back in school, COlby can now drive with an adult, he still has to take the drving part of his learners permit and then he will have a license, it's scary and I'm having to teach him how to drive, yeah something I said I wouldn't do, I was going to make his dad!!! My baby turned 10 this week, I can't beleive it, she is growing up way too fast.

Colby and him being a teenage is about to kill me, kids are trying to grow up way too fast and I guess I'm old school and just don't understand it, I think now I was blessed to have good friends that my parents could trust and I just knew not to do things that were going to ge tme in trouble, Colby I'm afraid isn't going to be that way, he's wanting to "hang" with older kids, not that they are doing anything wrong at all but I just feel he's going to be put in more situations to make decisions he's not ready to make.....just keep me in your thoughts that I make the right choices where he is concerned. He told me I trip too much and over dramatize things....the view of a 15 year old.

Sounds like the new girls are on track way to go!!!!

Joan.....I'm so glad to hear from you, been worried about you, hate to hear that about your dad but remember you need to take care of you so you can be there to take care of him, small changes make big differences, but you know that, are you still working at the same job? How about your house did it ever sale? How are your girls?  You will always be a part of this group!!!!! Please keep in touch!!!

I"m on vacation this week and next, yeaserday wasn't eating very good but so far so good today:)

I ran my 4 mile run this weekend, it was HOT and their was hills and the last 1/4 mile was freakin' grass....GRASS I don't run in grass, plus it was tall thick grass ended up having to walk through part of it, my final time ended up being 46:01 I really wanted under 45 minutes but whatever, I felt I kept a decent pace of course could have picked it up in places but was able to jog most of it....there was a good turn out, will try to find a 5k to do in Spetember and October and need to work on mileage for November 1/2 marathon.

SOunds like we have some new people congrats on all your hard work, keep up the good work, we can succeed together!!!

Got my run in tonight.....3.7 miles....39 minutes, was really hoping for better than that but whatever...I just really need to focus on getting my miles up for the 1/2 marathon in november......I am going to have to get a new route, would like a good 5 mile route so I'll probably drive that out in town tomorrow. I thought my new route would be at least 4 miles....oh well.

Eating has been good this week...thank goodness now to make it through the weekend and keep the exercise up.....I have been running but no weights at the gym this week, I need to start getting up in the morning to get the weights in and run at night.

It's such a crazy cycle......

I cleaned house saturday that would be about all the exercise I did this weekend.

I went jogging tonight but couldn't run the pain out in my right side so finally gave up, it was so hot but got to get some runs in this week have a 4 mile "hot summer nights" run Saturday....I would like to finish decent.

Let's all get back on track.

This has been a horrible eating week for me....not saying anything else, going to try to be good over the weekend.

Only got 2 nights at the gym.....been a weird week in general.

SOunds like we are all battling right now, but we can do it.

Hi my name is Sherry and I don't know how to control myself on the weekends!!! I swear one of these days......

Back on track today, going to have to make my weekends weekdays.....way too much eating out this weekend, which is something we don't do often, but the kids were on vacation with family and friends and hubby and I were all by ourselves another not too often thing so we went out with friends this weekend, it was great but my stomach is now protesting.....

No exercise either, but will hit the gym tonight.......

Brigett- we will all get back on track, like you I love good food and can't control myself, that's the issue I had this weekend, no half the time I wasn't hungry that's what's so sad.....

Sophie- can't wait to hear more from you, sounds like you have a plan and are being healthy meeting with a nutritionist and all that's great.  My step son is extremely picky and has horrible eating habits that I know one day will catch up with him.....it's scary in a way, I think we all need to meet with a nutritionist.

Well I made it to the gym yesterday had steak tacos for supper should have only had 1 but I had 2 becuase I was so hungry when I got home i had some chip and dip, I went to the gym and did 2 miles on the treadmill and my back and hsoulder workout, it's my shorter workout..tonight I'll do at least 3 miles on the treadmill and my longer workout, it's raining here, rather pouring so not outside running, I'm not as dedicated as Cassy!! LOL!!! I'm glad I joined the gym so I really can still keep my running up when it gets cold outside, I don't like running in the cold but may invest in some better clothes to run on the weekends this winter, I still enjoy running outside better. I'm writing everything I eat down, I'm not measuring right now just trying to hold myself accountable because if I have to write it down it's no fun staring at it and I'm writing my exercise down, I really want to see what all I do over a period of time.

Cassy- that's a great 5K time!!!! I wish for 30 minutes even or 29:59 :) maybe one day...right now I need endurance for the 1/2 marathon in November, I guess I have been able to up my speed a little on the treadmill, wonder how that will be on the street, I know it's different than being on the treadmill.

Brigett- way to go not eating the ice cream!! and doing good at the bbq.  I wish it wasn't so expensive to get a trainer here, I pay $75 for a month going once a week....I'm going to do another  month with her after I'm back on track for a good month or so... luckily I have all the exercises from when I trained with her on a card that I'm still doing but I slacked so much there for a while I feel like I'm back at squear 1.

August 8th is a 4 mile run called Hot Summer Nights, it's at 6:30 p.m. and if you know Arkansas weather, it will probalby bee 97 degrees with 90% humidity!!!  We had great weather this weekend, it was in the 80's!!! We never see that!!!

Well back to work I go.

Well sounds like we are battling the eating demons!!  I really failed at it this weekend, my eating was horrible.....but today is a new day and the start of a new lifestyle.....I can do this, it's not hard, do I want to feel good or do I want to feel BLAH.....I think we all know the answer to that.

I am going to start writing down what I eat, not so much measuring and counting just making myself accountable after I look at a day's worth of food...and I'm going to start writing down my exercise, maybe that will help get back on track for sure.

I have to get it together, I'm going on a cruise in February!!! and when I buy clothes I'm going to need to be able to wear them then!!!

We all know what we have to do when do we learn the happy medium between it all?

Well ladies I'm still here.....so glad to see you agian Brigette!!!

I did a 5K 4th of July in Jonesboro, it was at the park there and was lots of hills, my time was 34:21, I wasn't real happy with that but I was also fighting a cold, had been fighting it all week and had only got to jog 2 times that week and no gym time....then did the run....still sick and finally went to the doctor on Tuesday...4 prescriptions later..yeah guess I shold have went sooner, I'm feeling better, still not 100%, think it's alot of allergies so I'll be getting allergy meds soon.

Got to the gym Monday night but felt bad last night and laid on the couch, tryin gto keep eating under control becuase that's one thing I can have control of. Hope to go to the gym tonight and jog at least 2 miles.

I have signed up for a 4 mile run in August, it's called Hot Summer Nights....it starts at 6:30 in the evening, looking forward to it, then I will do another 5k in Ocotber, these that I'm doing are close to my house, then I'll do the half marathon in November, but reallynot sure that I will be able to get the time I did last year, really working on endurance...to think last year I could do 10 miles of jogging and I'm struggling now with 4 miles...but I will try to do my best and then I'm going to work on my speed.

Where is everyone? Anyone heard from Joan?

Things are going okay, the 5K is this weekend.  Got in a run Sunday and yesterday and will tonight and hit the gym yesterday morning, and will go tonight, tried to get up and go this morning just didn't happen:)

Will rest tomorrow and hit the gym and run Thursday.

Well I did get to the track last night and jogged 2 miles and did a mix on the 3rd mile, it was so hot and humid, been doing some stress/emotional eating the last couple days......not overly bad but not great. Have not gotten to the gym it' sjust been to crazy, but will go do my last session tomorrow with Laura.

Colby has moved in with us....I think it's going to be okay just an adjustment for all, it was hard on his mom when we went to get his clothes last night, I can't even imagine, but they were just not getting along at all, things will probably be better this way and they may actually be able to get closer, we only live about 5 minutes or so from each other so it's not that bad.

SUmmer stopped tumbling class she just wasn't wanting to do it so we stopped for the summer but she is going to bowl and swim on wednesday afternoons, she is so excited about that.

I'll post some pics of my hair at some point, guess I"ll have to get Summer to take a picture of it.

As I posted in my journal the weekends are killing me....I have to get them back under control.  My hair turned out really good, I like it alot, I'll try to post a picture.

Last week was crappy with my working out and walking, this week got to get back on track, the 5K is next weekend!!!!

Cassy- 12 kindergartners???? My you are a brave woman!!!!! I don't even know what to say, hope you got your run in. I have had 2 yard sales and they both turned out pretty good for the small amount that I had. Hope you do great.

Karey-saw where your puppy had surgery....I sure hope she gets better soon.  You are just rocking right along, I love looking at your pictures of the animals that you groom they are too cute, Summer loves them to. My sis in law is going to be adopting a mini weenie dog in a couple weeks from the humane society out of Missouri, her name is Zoe and she is about 4 months old, she is black and tan with little gray spots, toooooo cute!!! I can't wait to see her, we just have to stick with our kitty cats!!  I love dogs, I just don't have the patience to potty train one.

Also looks like my step son maybe moving in with us for a little while, don't know the whole story or for sure what's goign to happen just keep us all in your prayers.

Scales were up to 144.....no ones fault but mine due to the bad eating this weekend and my schedule has been screwed up this week on exercise.....it will be okay I'm bck on track.

Getting my hair highlighted this afternoon, will probalby not be able to get to the gym, maybe I can go walk a couple of  miles.....we will see.

Weighed this morning ....142 1/2 I'm so happy!!!!!

Went to the gym and got measured....lost an inch in around my chest, 1/2 inch in the abs, 1/2 inch in the stomach,1/2 in each thigh, 1/2 inch in each arm and 1/4 inch in my calves, I'm happy with that and then Laura looked at the date she originally measured me and I still have 1 more training session!!! I thought it was just straight 4 seesions but she goes by dates so I get 1 more time!!!! YEAHHHHH!!!!!

I think I'm just oging to sign for 1 more month of training....not sure about the fitness challenge...still thinking about it.

Well let's hope for a good weekend and sunshine and some good cardio!!! And hope to not overeat......

I will get measured tomorrow, man what a great workout tonight, she is having a summer fitness competition going on, would love to do that but not sure if I'll have the money, it would be another 6 weeks of traingin which would be awesome and it would be 2 times a week!!! I need to find the money......

I didn't go to the gym Tuesday as I was sleepy that morning and then went to my grandma's for supper, Fried Chicken, I DID NOT OVEREAT!!! I thnk that is a first for me in a really long time, yes I had to be conscious about my eating it would have been so easy to go back for seconds and thirds.....I jogged 2 miles before I went to her house and then me and my sis in law went walking 2 miles after we ate!!! I was so happy.

Eating still in check.....I'm really trying to focus....it's hard.

Well went to watch Summer at her tumbling class and then hit the track and jogged 2 miles....I'm wondering if I'm not picking my feet up enough...or does that even make any sense?

Didn't get up to do to the gym this morning my body just felt to tired and sleepy I will hit the track when I get off and then go to my Memaw Curtis' for supper....fried chicken...it's been forever since I have had fried chicken, but I am going to eat okay, I'm not going to over do it....I can do this!

Been eating fine.....I'm leaing more to fruit or trying to when i want something sweet...not too much just enough to satisfy....I love the little plastic snack baggies...they are wonderful and since I have been keeping grapes and strawberries that's what Summer eats instead of a little debbie, I'm proud of her for that!!

That what they need to do here is give us a card...probably get lots more members that way for sure!!!  I walked yesterday....jogged 2 miles walked 1, went to the gym this morning so I can wathc Summer at her tumble class tonight, after that I'm going to the tracka nd jog 2 miles.

It's been a tiring day...we have been so busy, I'm tired.

Casy- get back on track, which I know you will, hate that you have a cold on top of ttotm, you need a break that's for sure!!!

Mom and Summer and my aunt and uncle went to eat pizza yesterday and they asked if I wanted to go and I said no because I know I wouldn't know when to stop!!! Do you know how hard that was!!! Crazy hard!!!

This is my last week of training with Laura can't wait to hear my measurements, I can tell a difference in areas, I know I feel better but it sure takes dedication, but I like the results so maybe I can stick with it? We will see.

I'm so irritated...got up to go to the gym this morning, they are supposed to open at 8:30 and I get there it's alomst 9 and no one is there....why do I pay a membership??????  And some of the treadmills are broke, how do they expect to get new members when they can't be responsible.....IRRITATING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to walk last night but I didn't now I should have maybe I can walk this afternoon.....my eating has been good so that's a plus....just to make it through the rest of the weekend!!

Has anyone tried the Fiber One pancake mix? It's really good and you can have like 3 pancakes!!! It's a great treat for the weekend.

Let's hope for a great weekend.....I want some sunshine.

Well I didn't hit the gym last night I went to Zumba; not sure if anyone has ever heard of it, it's a type of dance exercise calss with like latin music.....let's just say this white girl can't dance and has not rhythym!!!!! IT was comical to say the least I did get a decent cardio as I was moving constantly for 45 minutes that's for sure, but I'm just not real coordinated...will take a few times to get those moves down that's for srue. Will try to walk tonight if it's not raining and then go to the gym in the mornign.

Hope I can stay strong over the weekend!!!

Cassy- yeah you deserved a guilt free weekend for sure.  I am still so amazed at what you have accomplished, it's just so great.

The scales were finally in my favor....144...about freakin time, okay so when I eat right and exercise they do what I want them to do...guess it makes sense!!!

Got a great work out last night with Laura....next week is my last one...I'm hoping to sign back up with her again but may have to skip a month but I  can still keep doing all the stuff she has shown me and I have it all written down, my knee is still bothering me but I think I know what the problem is, I need to go to the chiropractor...I can tell my hip is out, I have a tender spot when I sit down and I think that's the whole problem....of course they are both closed today so I'll go tomorrow.  I will try to stay focused this weekend and get in some more cardi, Laura wants me getting at leasat 3 hours a week, doesn't sound like alot and it's not but it is when you aren't spending but about an hour at the gym so you can get home and it's raining all the time so I can't get out and walk.....hope for no rain this weekend; goign to try to go to they gym Saturday mornign.

Saraya- Girl you got it goin' on!!!! So proud of you!!!

Karey- girl don't make me come to Florida and get you back on track!!! LOL!!! You can do it, look how great you look and how great you feel. FOCUS!!!

Got in a hour of cardio tonight and my workout, Summer was at the skating rink with the PTA so I was able to be at the gym longer and get more cardio in....my legs are screaming.....on the plus side I was able to jog 2 miles on the treadmill without having to walk....I'm so excited about that.

I train with Laura tomorrow, I really hope next week when she measures me there is some difference, I know I feel better, like today I was so tired when I got off and so didn't want to go to the gym but I did and I'm so glad.

My left knee is aching some, not sure what's up with that, I stopped doing the treadmill becuase it caused it to ache....not hurting just aching...any ideas what it could be?

Eating has been in check....frozen grapes are my treat after I come home from the gym:)  Trying to keep fruit in the house so if I'm wanting something sweet I can grab a apple or something.  I did not eat good Sunday, but my overall weekend eating was not that bad.

Weighed last Thursday...146, then ttotm hit saturday so maybe that's why the weight was that, hope to at least be 145 pray for 144 Thursday, it's just out of my reach, so frustrating.

I have been on track all week....scales still say 146 yesterday but I can tell a difference in my stomach, doesn't look as bloated so the workouts are helpign even though the scales aren't saying what I want to see......still have to get some cardio in for the rest of the week and maybe one more workout. I think I should start pretty soon to so that may be another reason the scales aren't in my favor.

I'm so glad it's Friday...what a trying week it's been.....

Cassy- that is just right around the corner, I'll be rootin you on, can't wait to hear how it goes, you are going to do great I know!!!

Triple- good luck getting down into the 130's.....you're almost there for sure!!! This is a great group of ladies.

I started training last wednesday with Laura....I went back to the gym Thursday and was so sore friday I could barely move, I had spots that I didn't even know there was muscle tissue that could get sore!!! But of course it was a good sore and I really feel that if I'm dedicated and do what she tells me I will see the results I'm wanitng, I'm excited about it and will probalby end up doing another month with her!!! My body mass and all were good, weight Thursday was liek 145 1/2 and I'm okay with that as I was really bad that weekend before.....still struggling with the weekends.

Summer has tumbling on Monday nights so I'm just across the street at the gym working out while she tumbles...works out perfect and I have my training on Wednesday.

Hears to a good eat week.

The meeting last week did me in...sigh....oh well back on track this week and have had stomach problems the last day or so....tonight hitting the gym and will start traingin with Laura, I'm excited about this.

Summer just started a tumbling class, she loves it so that will be some good exercise for her they are moving non stop the whole hour, she was sore!!!

Cassy0 you are doing great, when is the date of the marathon?

Karey- I'm so envious, so glad you had a good time!!!! Loved your pics.

Lisa-  I'm struggling, I've just want to see 145....no ones fault but mine...
