"Somebody's got a case of the Mondays" ---ME!!        Here we go:
  • 24 Years Old 5'8"
  • Starting weight: 285
  • I lost 55 lbs. in about 6 months and when my fiancee came back home from Iraq I thought I had much better things to do with my time than exercise.
  • Now I'm back up to 250...eek!  I put on 20lbs in 8 months!   But that's alright, 'cause this time I'm not stopping!!
I'll post my picture tonight when I get home.     ~Kelley   PS.   Congrats on everyone who lost this week!!

Hey Everyone!!!  So excited to see all the new people!  Tomorrow it's back to work...yuck.

Weirdkitty, to answer your question, yes I have always been a chunky dunk...lol...I can't wait to see how it actually feels.

Megegen:  Way to go!!

Ourlady:  Thanks!  It is, by far, the hardest thing I've ever done.

I wanted to say something to everyone, but it's getting past my bed time...lol...j/k.

I'm so happy that so many of you guys have posted.  I'll be back tomorrow with my weigh in (blah) and picture.

I'm cutting out of here early.  My weekend is going to be busy and I probably won't be able to get on much.  Also, Monday I have to register the boys for school.  I might post my pics and weight late Sunday night or later on in the day Monday.   Hope you all have a great weekend!!!   ~Kelley

Not cheesy...losing weight isn't the only aspect in my life that I need help and support with, and your words are great encouragement.

Super hard.  And their real mother abused them while my fiancee was overseas, so we have to pick up the pieces of their broken little lives.  They are boys...and I SOOO want girls.  I'm such a girly girl anyways and I don't know the first thing about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Hot Wheels...I like BARBIES!!

The work NEVER ends.  I sometimes find myself wishing I still lived with my rents.  Always somebody needing/wanting something...from me.  I've told my fiancee time and time again..."Look...I know I'm an angel, but I can't perform miracles."   LILBORYKUAMAMI:  Don't wish that upon yourself...not yet anyways.  The kids are his but I've become Super Step Mom in the last 3 months.  And it's kinda hard cause the "motherly" feelings and love have not developed between the three of us.

I have 2 hours to go too...then I get to go home to my second job...being a mom and a wife, you might as well say.  Woo!  I'll bet the first thing I hear when I walk through the door is, "Hey babe, what's for supper?"

Bethystan- It's very exciting.  I was very happy this morning when I checked in and I saw all the people.      I've been at work...BORED...plus it's Friday...but anyways, I was checking out everyone's profiles and pictures and I must say that you girls are quite beautiful and from what I've read so far, have the personalities to match.

Oh Boy!! I'm so excited to see all the new posts today!!  Let's see...
  • Charde:  Great to have you!!!
  • Kikikins:  You've got all the compassion and support you could possibly want here...we are all looking for the exact same things and I really believe that all of this is the beginning of some great friendships!     &nb sp;
  • Tribegirl: Way to go on your current loss!  And no you don't have to drop out after you lose 15...I hope that everyone will stay aboard and help see each other through.
  • Caz:  Can't wait to see you on Monday!
  • Livefree:  You are definitely IN!!
  • Summersesh:  I'm glad you've chosen this one!  I really didn't expect much of a turn out when I posted the topic, but I think we are growing a family!
  • Anitambar:  I think we will be great motivation for each other.  I don't have anyone to work out with either and it is really hard to trudge down this road alone.
  • Annchanel:  Girl, I haven't been in a bathing suit in 5 years!  I would LOVE to be able to go to a beach and turn heads!  Baywatch ain't gonna have nothin' on us!
  • Drmsnwnd:  Not too late at all!  Glad you found us!
  • Weirdkitty:  Size 14...Here YOU come!
  • Jackattack:  Glad to have you.  I don't mind your age.  The only reason I asked for 20ish is because as I was reading through other posts I didn't really see anyone in my age group who had a lot to lose...Welcome!
  • Megegen:  I thought about you on the way home from work yesterday! This is going to be a BLAST!  I'm so happy to have found such cool chicks to do this with!
I know this post is kinda long but I just HAD to say something to all of you.  We are all fighting the same demon and we WILL send that demon back to where it came from!!!   ~Kelley

Great, and I know about the pictures...but I just think it will be neat to see everyone's progress, and be motivational.  Why don't we do our first weigh in on July 30th, and then every monday there after.  And the pics can be posted monthly...that way we will actually be able to see progress...I think a weekly photo wouldn't show us much.

So do you girls want to "weigh-in"?  I don't know if you would want to do it weekly or monthly?  I think pictures would be fun too.  I like the idea of sharing success with people who aren't going to be judgemental and instead offer support and encouragement and praise! If you have any other ideas let's have 'em!  I just want to make this as fun as possible.

Bethystan- I would like to reach my goal within the next year,  Which I think is totally attainable.  And I get what you mean by just being comfortable...like I said in my profile, I want to sit down and the top of my pants not disappear!!! I can't imagine what it must feel like to be able to sit down and have no belly rolls...just smoothness.

Cool Beans!!! I'm so happy that there are chicks out there similar to me!  I ABSOLUTELY know what you mean by the tiny plus size section...it really is infuriating when you go shopping and have to go to a zillion stores just to get a couple things.  The very first thing I'm going to buy is a lingerie piece from Victoria's Secret!!!!! The only thing I'm worried about is after I lose the weight all the skin that's not just gonna magically zip back into place...Maybe I can write to Oprah and ask her to hook me up!

That's GREAT!!  100 lbs seems like such a big hurtle to me...I try not to think about the number but it's soooo hard!  I just can't wait to be able to wear all those cutesy clothes!

Kuonen - Thanks a mil!   I am so happy that I stumbled across this web site.  I get excited thinking about it in the morning on the way to work to see what's new!  It just feels so good to have support from people who don't know you from Jack, but in a way we all sort of do know each other because we share the same demon.  I carry all of your words home with me and it helps tremendously.  You guys are the best!

And isn't that just the silliest thing ever??  I don't know how to make mine believe that I'll still be 'Dumb-ass Kelley' when I reach my goal.  It kinda infuriates me that he has that little faith in my love for him...especially since last year our love was put to the maximum test by him being a zillion miles away for a year and me not knowing whether or not he was going to come home.  How do their minds work???   Ohhh...and last night when I crawled into bed with him he asked me, "When you do lose the weight you want to lose, are you still going to hide yourself from me?"  I was like, "Absolutely not!!  You'll be lucky if you can get me to wear a Band-aid!!"  So maybe that will be a little motivation for him to support me and help see me along my way.

Schandler you made me giggle out loud at work with the Ice Road Truckers things...it sounds so much like something mine would do!       Bucklan09, I don't know how much you have to lose, but I would love to keep in contact with you.  Being able to put these feelings out there and have someone really "get it" helps SO much.   I know this is something I CAN do because I've done it before and I'd love to have a buddy to talk to along the way.

It doesn't make any sense does it!?  Mine says he doesn't want me to lose weight, heaven only knows why because I can't fathome how he thinks squishy is attractive!!  I've almost come to the point where I want to tell him I don't need him and just go to the gym alone.  But then I would have absolutely no time to spend with him and I fear that if I'm not there, then someone else will be...ya know?  He also has two small children and he uses them as an excuse too.  I just feel like I've been dumped on.  Perhaps that's my fault because I do tend to put him and his kids before myself.  ARGHHH!!!  It's just so frustrating.  Why, oh why, couldn't I have been blessed with the body of a goddess?  LOL.

Thanks! He isn't going to have to leave to go to Iraq anytime soon and when he came back home it all started to unravel for me I guess.  We were mostly focused on each other, but it's 8 months down the road and still no efforts from him to support me.  And by him saying I won't be the same person, he thinks my personality will change, that I will become snooty and up and leave him to find better, which is BOGUS!!  I love this man to death, if I didn't I wouldn't have stuck around to be left alone while he was in Iraq.     I guess I'm looking for support on here and encouragement and sorta a place to vent...lol.     K

Thanks!!  I read that at the end you only consume 400 calories...which I questioned because I know going below 1200 calories daily is not healthy.  I can't imagine how a person could "run" on 400 a day.
