Wow did I write this post?? ha! I'm in the same boat you are in, this is week 8 for me. 5'4 and fluctuating between 154- 151. 4 to 5 days working out and eating right. I thought I'd be half-way to my target weight by now! Just stick to what you are doing, change up your workout routines and it'll eventually work...right?? Keep me posted and please let me know when you start seeing a difference if you did anything else to get results. Good Luck!! |

| I love the Pilates for Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason, (giam brand) its very soothing and relaxing - yet effective! I tried Windsor pilates, it was good but I think very advanced, I put my back out doing that one! ouchie! :) | |||

| I heard on a radio show - not sure if its true. They said listed under side effects was 'bring a change of clothes to work' (if you know what I mean!) :) But like I said I'm not sure if its that extreme or what? I was even considering it since I've been seeing it on the shelves at the local stores. If your friend tries it tell them to take the first pill on a day when they have no where to go, to see how they react to it. | |||

| yep I bet it was the clam sauce - its very high in sodium, so your body is probably clinging to water. I'm sure you'll be back down to your 133 in no time :) | |||

| It sounds like you eat really well along with some great cardio. Did you recently eat or drink something high in sodium that may be contributing to water retention?
I also found myself getting hungry between meals, a suggestion if you are not doing it currently - just add a little more protein with every meal, it'll help carry you throught to the next meal. (ex. if I eat an apple I'll have a string cheese with it or I have a protein shake that is only 170 calories, 0 fat, 35 grams of protein) |

| Hi Koy~
I have the winsor pilates I like the dvds but there were a couple exercises that are tough on the back. I prefer to my pilate dvd's from Giam (brand name) for weight loss. I got results from doing that and also Taebo (I alternate days). |

| I feel your frustration - I'm 5'4" and 154 my usual is 130. Like you too, I did the crash diets to get results fast. Now I'm focused on losing it the right way which is a slow process (i'm so impatient!) :)
I've been eating 3 small meals a day all high in protein and extremely low fat and some healthy carbs & 2 pure protein shakes for snacks (so I tech. get 5 meals). My problem is getting enough calories now because I eat so often and the protein makes you feel full- its hard for me to get up to that 15to 1600 cal I need. I'm between 1200-1300 per day. and I have been working out 5 days a week for only 1hr/day. I'll alternate cardio day and weight training day. If I feel extra spunky I'll do an extra 45 min of pilates after work. But as I entered my 3rd week of workouts and changing my way of eating, my weight has been stagnit. still 154 after 2 intense weeks argh! my hubby encouraged me and said this process is building from the inside, out. My muscles are developing (which I didn't have much to speak of) so I'm hoping the weight will eventually drop. I'm so fixated on that # on the scale and I can't help it!! But its got to work, right!? :) Once I get to a healthy weight I'm planning on going down to 3 to 4 days a week of exercise but until then I'm just pushing myself a little harder, but not to an extreme ya know? Good Luck!! |
