i second that it's nothing to worry about.  it started as a consumer/ worker protection thing, but now they just stick it everywhere so it's pretty much meaning less.

am i the only one who actually felt bad for Shay going?  I think Rudy did screw up and i can't believe he then voted for her!  I guess i just couldn't do that to someone.  I lost all respect for him.  I hope he goes next (but prob will be another girl).

as for Daniel's friend - how sad!  the good thing was that Dan saw right thru his bs about just relaxing now... wth dude!

i haven't coutned since last thursday!  wow.  I have rode my bike to work for three days in there tho.  so my total: 18,362.

i have been eating pretty well, i just do much better when i log.

I'm still a bit stuck, i saw really good drop early in June, but now it seems to be slowing, but i'm just gonna have to stop obsessing over each morning's number!  I tried to stick to monday weigh ins, but then I'll just hop on randomly to check. 

The thing is I know i'm doing good, I'm just getting impatient because I have a few big trips comign up that i really wanted to get to certain goals by. 

I'd like to hit 28,000 by July 10th (my goal date for my family reunion).  I think that's doable!

when i get up there, it will flash to say i'm out of my zone, but nothing else really happens.  i just ignore it!  it just logs time from when you press start to when you turn it off.  when i'm doing my settings (age, weight, height) max HR flashes by, but you can't change it.

when i first got it i was really worried that i was getting my HR up way too high by jogging.  but i didn't feel like i was pushing to the max, just regular workouts.  I did some research and realized the whole max HR formula that most of these things use is not accurate.

What kind of HRM do you have??  My Polar F11 allows me to adjust the zones and maximums.  If you are adjusting the age and if your HRM gives calorie burns you are going to be way off

Hmm, I think i have the F6 and i can adjust my 'zones,' but not my max.  i put in my age as 21, even though i'm 28.  do you think that would really throw my burn off?  i really like wearing it to see how hard i'm working, recovering, and that sort of thing than just for cal burns. 

i average 145 playing tennis and 155-165 when jogging intervals.

i may give this one to DH and get the F11.  I just don't fit into the simple equations so nicely!

i really don't think it's anything to worry about.  from what i know the formula is not very well tested (220-age) but is one of those things people just accept.

if i really push (interval type training) i can go over 200 bpm too.  not for a long time obviously. the annoying thing is i can't set my max on my HR monitor so i just adjust my age till it's right.

your max heart rate has nothing to do with how fit you are, it won't change during your life.

I'm doing really well! for the 21 days (so far) in June i've averaged a 740 deficit per day, which i think is right on target.  exercising more has really reallly helped!

lulee~ yeah, later i couldn't resist and added up my cals for sunday - I was over by around 250! (adjusted total as well Embarassed)   I really thought I was safe calling it 0.  the weekends are so hard sometimes!  But i'm getting a lot better at defying the wine that calls my name :)

June 1st: 148.2

But this morning i weighed again and i'm down to 144.8!!!!  who-oo!  I am doing pretty well on the eating side of things, i'm averaging 1400 cal/day for this month, some days much higher and some days lower of course.

I've been trying to jog/walk in the afternoons when i get home from work.  If i go the grocery store first or anything else - i  just have a hard time getting in my gear and getting out there!  I'm going to do better about that this week.

really want to reach my mini-goal of getting into the 130s this month, but that's probably reaching too far.  we'll see, i guess Laughing

twins~ i know what you mean about sweets - it does feel like an addiction sometimes!  I've tried cutting down for 4-5 days at a time, it helps me not crave so much.  For some people they might go crazy and binge, but it works for me.

this morning: 146.4

whoo!  doing great so far!  stayed to my eating plan mon-sat.  ate a bit over goals on sunday, but nothing outrageous.  Went for a run on mon, wed, and sat.  I am def seeing progress and i like it!

way to go ladies!  suebee~ sitck with it a bit longer - log everything you eat and you WILL see a loss.  I know it can be frustrating.

my mom has MS and for her, a clean diet has always helped her feel better.  she does eat a lot of fish, but very low fat, so it's similar to what you've outlined.  she does take lots of vitamins as well, in liquid form that you drop into water, supposedly easier to absorb? She did lose a lot of weight on this diet, but not intentionally.  I guess it can be hard to eat, when there are so many things you shouldn't have!

also for her, alcohol is just horrible!  even 1 drink will make her feel like crap the next day.  I sometimes wonder if i should be a teetotaler... 

i know how hard this disease can be on person and their family. I just want to say way to go for keeping your head up and making this lifetime dietary change!  You are going to work out all the kinks, but make sure to eat enough :)

haha! YES!

yesterday i just took a small nap in my chair, just closed my eyes for about 10 minutes.  I actually feel more awake after i do this.  unless i'm truly exhausted, then i feel like i'm under water and just can't get consciuos again!  then i'm worthless for the rest of the day.

if you can't do that caffiene - either cold (coke, monster) or hot (coffee!) and a walk around the office.

Hi!  my start weight yesterday morning was 148.2

had a really good run/jog yesterday - felt great!  Now i just have to keep up some consistency for the next month and I think I'll be fine.  My eating habits are pretty good during the week.  weekends are another story. 

i'm thinking about giving up alcohol, except for something like 2 or 3 nights for the month (special occasions, or when you really need one).... anyone want to try this?
