| Foods | Raw Vegetables and Stomach Pain | Jul 09 2009 21:12 (UTC) |

I have been having this same problem recently when I eat some raw fruits and vegetables. I actually asked my doctor about it today, because I wasn't sure why this would have started so suddenly. She said that it can be due to an excess of acid in the stomach (which can result from stress, among other things). She recommended either steaming vegetables rather than eating them raw or trying an antacid like Tums. So, I would definitely not recommend an acidic juice! She also warned that if the pain was focused on one side of the body it could be a gallbladder issue. Obviously there's no way to know for sure what your problem is; if it persists I would talk to your doctor. |

I make this for breakfast sometimes:
1. Toast the waffles. Depending on the waffles you use, it's about 200-250 calories per serving! |

I would try adding a couple tablespoons of whole wheat flour and about 1/4 tsp baking powder. Good luck...pumpkin pancakes sound delicious! |
