hiya all its my weigh-in day today... and i'm on 77.5 kg!!! 1.5kg lost!! but i've been exercising A LOT... like a walk-jog combo of 3 miles + core strengthening exercises with free weights (abt 20 mins)... and expected much more...
hi jayne... congrats on exiting the 200's... welcome to the 100's and hope you always stay here... ur journey has been unbelievable... i even told my husband about you... he too was amazed... keep it up... and all the best to the rest of you... have a lovely day! |

hey... hello... i'm new to running... but i do walk quite a bit... about 45 mins 4 times a week... but running a straight 5k is my dream... i had already read about this 8 week program on about.com... but this looks mich simple than the one i read... i'll try it... :) but i have a question... when i'm running outside, i find it very difficult to look at my watch and run... on a treadmill its okay... but i also prefer running outside... so how do u ppl do it on track? or shall i set a reminder for every 3-1 min on my cell phone since i carry it along anyway? i stay in india and i've already asked my bro' who's in raleigh (CA) to send me a Nike+ ipod system... but it'll be two months before i get that one... |

hey sun!!! hi... gald to see you after a looong time (maybe a year, is it?)... i was really caught up with a lot of things... domestic troubles mostly... but things are behind me now and i'm looking forward to a happier tomorrow... :) how're you doing? all these months i've put on all the weight i had lost... so i'm back to square 1... with 79 kgs (173.8 lbs) i've got to start all over again... started my phase 1 today... along with a resolution to walk for at least 30 mins everyday (went to the stadium just opposite my new home today morning) and felt better... lets see how things go from here... glad to be back |

hi all... its been a hectic month.... and it ended in a very sad manner... we had my brother's wedding on saturday (23rd) which was also my son's first birthday and my grandmother (95) passed away on the same day (3.00 am) my dad was with her at tht time and he did not inform us till the wedding was over... poor him... he had to bear it all by himself for more than 12 hrs... we were all prepared for it... but it shud not have happened on the same day....... anyways... thats destiny... cannot help it... but we're trying to adjust to it all... especially my newly wed SIL. She's the one who's been the most affected by all this.... i looked at my few last posts... it seems i've said more about myself than about south beach... :) doesn't matter... i feel better when i talk to all of u... thanks for being there... |

hi all.... was absolutely busy all this time.... we had a wedding coming up on the 23rd, my bro's wedding... but my grandma... who's 95... has taken ill and this is the end of her glorious life... when she lost her husband at the age of 38, she stayed helathy and alive for her 5 kids... 4 biological and 1 adopted... she ran the family business for nearly 30 years till my uncle took it up... and she did all this at a time when women usually did not go out of their houses in india... but she's adjusted herself so well with times... she even learnt how to use a cell phone!!! a wonderful life she lived... but the last days of her life they're so bad... she's on a life support system... c'oz her brain is alive... but she cannot recognize anyone... not even the sons and daughters for whom she always lived... a wonderful, brave lady.... but so fragile right now... my heart breaks for her... but we cannot do anything but wait... it hurts to think that actually we are waiting for her to die... did she live so long just to see this day????? we preponed the wedding to 10th so tht it could happen while she's there... and my bro and SIL would take her blessings... but on the eve of their wedding my SIL's grandfather (98) passed away forcing us to postpone the wedding indefinitely... its all so messy... i got to see all colors of characters... and sometimes it even made me sick... people are so selfish at times... apart from all this i feel i and my husband are drifting away from each other... he used to understand a lot earlier... but now... he seems to have a problem with everything i do... he does not want me to work, when i've been telling him long before we got married tht i'm not the housewife kind of girl... my career is as important to me as my home... but.............. dunno whats wrong.... lets see what happens... the only good news among all this is i haven't given up my diest-exercise-dance routine... and have managed to get down to 158 lbs... in a healthy manner... |

hiya all, finally made it to the 5 kg mark!!!! 25 days!!! and am feeling gr8... i think i'm gonna get the before and after pics!!! lol... but pretty tight schedule this week... gym 6 - 7.30 followed by breakfast and reching office at 8.00 am working till 9.30 pm (i take my lunch packed) and coming back to find aadi sleeping... and waking up and leaving bfr he gets up... i'm missing his squeaks... and the dance practice too is going gr8... for all those fans of dancing you can search for the video of the song " barso re" from the film guru by "aishwarya rai"... its a wonderful song... neways... seems u ppl r going gr8... keep it up.... missding ya all too... c ya bye... and keep the losses up and the weight down!!! |

hi all... have been really busy... no time to peep in at all... just manage to count my cals now a days.... dunno where the hours have gone out of the days??? it was of 24 hrs... wasn't it???? 1 ahd half hour gym, followed by 45 mins of dance practice leaves me with so less time... i've lost 3.5 kgs in the last 12 days... :) (but it was shocking to see the scale at the gym point at 80.5 kgs on the first day, when my home scale says 78.35) neways, i'm sticking to the gym scale now... so now i'm down to 77 kgs... it feels gr8... and i'm managing dancing too!!! thats an achievement for someone with 2 left feet... i bought myself a lovely evening gown (indian style) in blue and silver... its a beautiful design with a fitted top and a full body chiffon skirt with ample flare... will upload the snaps afetr the wedding... i guess 2 months are gonna pass too fast... all my weekends are spent preparing for the wedding... and to top it all, my close friend is getting married on 3rd jan!! so have to help her with the preps too!!! but will pop in to say hi to all of you whenever i can... :: WAVES A BIG HELLO TO ALL HERE :: |

hi all.... doing well today... its my TOM and so i'm looking forward to my weigh-in next thursday... maybe i'll drop off a few lbs then... (wishful thinking!!!) but since i had just got an IUD installed i wasn't sue when it wud be here, and the doc also has warned me that the flow might be heavy... but i ddnt cancel my gym! i went through it and felt a lot better!!!

hey sarah... it wasn't 5 lbs less than my goal... it was 5 lbs loss less than my goal... my mistake typing there... how i wish to get out of these 160s... i'm dying to do tht... one more thing... i told u all i've joind a fitness center here, well they calculated fat muscle and all and told me i've to loose ONLY 7-9 kgs to reach my ideal weight!!! but this site tells me i've to loose much more : abt 15!!! thats a huge difference... dunno what to do... i'm thoroughly confused... but right now i'm concentrating on working out and keeping a watch on what i eat... whatever my ideal weight is... it is bound to pop up some day!!! happy thanksgiving to all... |
