| Sue...I'm praying too. I've been right where you are and I know it's a struggle! Bring your anxieties to God “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” -Philippians 4:6-7 |

| Good Morning all, Dances, thanks for coming in and sharing. None of us are perfect and I really think it helps so much to share your struggles with others who understand. I think you made a good point…you were getting bored with your turkey apples, beets, etc! You really have to think about this as a “way of eating” instead of a diet. It’s something that you are going to be doing for the rest of your life. I think that your mindset about being “strict” with what you eat could be a cause for failure. I'm no expert by any means. I'm still learning all this stuff myself and trying to stay on track! I just really think that remembering that this is a new way of life rather than a quick fix is one very important key. So anyway...we're glad to see you back for the challenge! :) I stopped keeping track of my caloreis and found that I was just eating whatever I wanted for a while. It's like you start thinking "if I don't have to log this, it doesen't count!" Stupid I know! Oh and one other thing...all the stress in your life right now (with your move and stuff) could really be a trigger for you to seek your "comfort foods" so don't be too hard on yourself. Molly...LOVE the PMS tips. Especially the one about Halloween Candy. :) Too funny. I'm not even buying it until the last minute because I know it won't last around our house. I did incorporate some M&M's into my diet recently. I thought "yeah, I can eat these in moderation" but that idea didn't last long! the whole bag (big bag) was gone in less than a week! NO self control!! Pam...I'm interested in that bible too. It looks very helpful. Did you order it online? Jen...a snake?! I would have preferred a kitty or a puppy! :) We live in FL so I see plenty of snakes around the yard. That's enough for me! I better get back to work I guess. TGIF! Good verse for today... Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body" - 1 Cor 6:19-20 |

| Sue, at least your morning is not too stressful now. Sometimes I have mornings like that, where you just want to crawl back in bed and start over (or stay there for the day!) :) Love the new pics you put up. Your grandkids are adorable! sorry to hear about the ticket. Those darn state troopers are sneaky. I have a question though? Why would you have to have a license plate on the FRONT of the car? That is really a law?? Jane...I actually saw that cartoon this weekend. Too funny and true! The cats really do rule the house don't they? :) |

| Jane...I think it's only 2 points per 1 cup serving. I don't remember how many servings the whole recipe makes but that's not too bad...only 2 points. I did WW for about 6 months and LOVED it. I lost about 40 pounds too! But...yeah life story...gained it all back!! I do like WW though. The plan makes it so easy to keep eating your fav foods and learn about healthy portions, etc. and yeah, I do LOVE the crockpot too. It makes life so much easier somedays! Pam...I was thinking the same thing when I read your meal plan earlier! PB and sausage on a hamburger? ha-ha. I LOVE PB so I'm sure it was good. I personally think Peanut butter would be good with anything. :) Jen...yes I've felt that way about kids!! Read my earlier posts...my teenager is giving me a lot of grey hairs. I'm serious! I found 2 today! whew. I'm sure being a stay at home mom (the hardest job in the world) is especially trying on your patience. Sometimes you DO need a break. Molly...will keep your DH and everyone affected by these horrible CA wild fires in my prayers. I was watching some of the heartbreaking stories on the news this morning and just feel so sad for these people losing their homes. Newbies Lisa and Doorfry...welcome to CCC! So glad to see you. Lisa, I'm not in Ohio but I used to live in Michigan! I sure miss it right about now. We moved to FL last year and I'm really missing those crisp Fall days and the beautiful leaves... Anyway....don't worry about keeping track of your points. What's most important is the support, encouragement and fellowship here. Some of us do the challenge just to try to keep ourselves on track with the healthy eating. :) I need all the help I can get, trust me! Oh, speaking of points, they are up next Pam. Then I'm off to bed. Good night all. |

| Kat, I have made this Weight Watchers White Chicken Chili recipe before. It's very easy and yummy. A little spicy...if you don't want it too spicy I would put just the mild salsa in. I make mine in the crockpot, cooking on low for 6-8 hours. Here's the ingredients... 6 3oz boneless chicken breasts 2 19oz jars of Picante sauce (one mild, 1 medium) 49 oz chicken broth 48oz canned Great Northern bean 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. garlic powder Jen...thanks for the Samuel update. PTL!! |

| Thanks for the prayers and words of encouragement gals. Teenagers can be challenging! Whew?I think children get harder the older they get. I love her dearly and she can be such a great kid, but sometimes she just tests my patience a little too much. She has been saved so I am ever so grateful that she is growing in her faith and wants to live her life for the Lord. I was not a Christian at her age and ended up following the wrong path, making bad decisions, hanging with the wrong crowd, etc. I just want SO much more for her! I pray that the Lord will strengthen her walk with Him and give me patience and strength to deal with difficult situations and to lead and guide her in the right direction so that she knows that the the Lord is always there for her. Sue, that?s awesome that you met your guy on-line. I love it! It is becoming so much more common these days. Of course it can still be dangerous and people have to be careful but I do belive with all my heart that God brought my husband and I together too! God knows how to use the world wide web! :) CCC is evidence of that. |

| ha-ha. We're not "real" people. We're imaginary. :) We are as real as it gets right gang?! You can always tell when people aren't really up to speed on the internet world when they make comments like that. They just don't get that you can make true, honest, wonderful supportive friends here in cyberspace! In fact...that's how I met my husband 10 years ago!! I've heard it all when it comes to that topic!!
Pam...I'm so sorry that I have not gotten you my points yet. I have been counting them, it's just been kind of crazy these last few weeks. Teenage daughter problems. Could use prayer from all you "real" friends on that note. She's a really good girl, just testing the waters I think... Diet wise...I'm holding steady but really not paying as close attention to it as I should be. Stress does that to me though! Hope everything is going ok for all of you. |

| Hey gang, Wanted to stop in and say ?HI? today. Things have been a bit stressful this week so I haven?t been on here much. I?ve gotten caught up with all the posts this morning though! Molly?I think the work you do for animals is AWESOME! I would love to do that if I had the time, space, money, etc. God Bless you! Oh, We have a Siamese kitty (not really a kitty?he?s 10 years old) but I can completely understand about Sally not getting along with the other kitties. Our cat, Casper is VERY set in his ways and has a major attitude! J So...I have not been logging my calories here lately either! I find that I get totally off track with my eating when I don?t log my calories. I thought I just might be able to ?do it myself? without logging everything but I think that just gives me an excuse to eat whatever I want! So?.I?m gonna start logging again today! Kat?Sorry to hear you were under the weather recently. It sounds like maybe you had kind of a panic attack? Maybe you are getting yourself worked up about not hearing from Nick? I?m no doctor but that would be cause for a panic attack in my book. I hope you hear from him soon. As a mother, I know you must be worried sick about your boy! Will keep you and him in my prayers. How is that little baby doing? My nephews (twins) were born 3 months early at 1.5 pounds each. They are now 2 ½ and doing amazingly well. The only long term effect is that one of them has blindness in one eye. Also, my other nephew was born with a disability, and he is now 4 years old and an absolute amazing little blessing to our family. It?s amazing how God works!! I?ve been reading others talk about how we should ?give it all to God?. It?s so much easier said than done sometimes isn't it?! I know that He will provide for all of our needs and hears each and every one of our prayers. I have to work on trusting that all will be taken care of in HIS timing. Wait on the Lord: Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart: wait I say, on the Lord. -Psalm 27:14 Will be lifting you all up in prayer today?Joan, Samuel, Nick, Kat, Sue, Pam, Jennifer and anyone else in need of prayer. The Lord knows your burdens and I pray that He will provide peace and comfort to each and every one of you! |

| awww, Pam. The spoon theory is an IMPORTANT read for those that want to try to understand how somebody copes with chronic pain. In fact, that whole website is worth spending some time on. For those of us that do not have to deal with a chronic illness every day of our lives, it's important to remember to not "waste" our spoons and have compassion and understanding even if we don't really understand how someone coping with chronic pain is truly feeling. I wish I could do more than pray for you! There are several stories on that website that I'm going to send to my mom and a friend who is fighting breast cancer. Very uplifting and eye-opening. Thank you for sharing it. | |||

| Good morning all! Chrissy...Thanks for the praise report! That's awesome!! Praise the Lord! Pam...umm, I can relate to many of those things on the list too! ha-ha. :) Too funny. Sue...thanks for the motivation to drink more water. I'm only at 32 ounces so far. Better get moving... Mandy...I cannot give up my coffee either! I have 1 cup every morning. Sarah...I forgot to say it was nice to see you in here yesterday. Thank you for the encouragement and you are doing AWESOME! and...Dances and Ang made an appearance yesterday too. It was nice to see the both of you! Ang, I can certainly relate to the company craziness. That's one thing about living in Florida, everybody wants to come and visit! :) Have a great day everybody. Drink that water! |

| Yeah Mandy! I'm in fuel mules group with you! :) I guess I am supposed to be drinking about a gallon a day (current weight = 250, so 1/2 of that is 125 ounces) I have this cup that holds 32 ounces and keeps the water cold. I've been drinking 2 of those a day so I just need to double that! I'll let you know how I'm doing tomorrow (if I'm not too busy running to the bathroom that is!) ha-ha.
thanks for the extra push! I need it. :) |

Molly...thank you for the veggie info. You really are so good at this stuff! So, really I need to drink more water. I do know that, I just need to do it! Kind of like the exercise. :) I drink an average of 64 ounces a day but I guess I'm supposed to drink 1/2 my body weight. Yikes! This will be my new motto..."Water fuels the fiber carts that haul fat and toxins out of our bodies." |

| (edited...to thank Mandy for the recipe) I thought Molly made it as she is always giving us the fantastic recipes! Thanks Mandy... Wow that looks really good right now. I'm ready for lunch! :) I hear ya on the exercise too. I tell myself that EVERYDAY. I still have not found the motivation to actually get off my lazy butt and get into any kind of consistent routine though! Chrissy, I?m so glad you stopped in here today! Feel free to come on in and fellowship or ask for prayer or encouragement whenever you want. I checked your journal and just wanted to say that I?m so sorry that you are feeling so down about your little Cooper. I certainly know how animals become an important part of the family and how much it hurts when they are ill or injured. Pam?s family just recently dealt with the loss of a beloved dog so I?m sure she can relate to how scared you are feeling right now. Lord, we ask you to comfort Chrissy and her family today while they deal with the injury of their family pet, Cooper. Father we praise and thank you that you are our COMFERTOR and that you and you alone know how to comfort each of us intimately. We all have things in our lives through which you can show your presence to us. Thank you for your presence Lord. Thank you for all you give to us. Amen. |

| Good morning gang, Pam...our new freind waytofat told me her name was Jennifer. I hope she dosen't mind us calling her by her real name? Let us know if you'd rather use your "screen name" here though. Mandy, I?ve wanted to ask Molly that question but didn?t want to get too personal. Ha-ha. I know we?re all friendly here. So?now that it?s out in the open... ha-ha. Hope you don?t mind this question?Molly or Pam or other veggie lovers?without getting a little too personal do you have any side effects from all the veggies? I LOVE veggies but find that I?m scared to eat them sometimes because they make me feel so ummmm ?gassy?. Oh boy, maybe I should have started a new thread to ask this one! J Now that that?s out of the way, onto important stuff?Jennifer ? Praise the LORD for answered prayers. Thanks for the update about Samuel. Will continue to ask for healing for this precious little boy. Mmm, quiche. I haven?t had that in ages. I?m going to check out those recipes. I?m making a yummy chicken chili in the crockpot today. It?s not really feeling like Fall here yet (FL) but I?m hoping for some cooler weather soon. Oh yeah, Jennifer?don?t pay any attention to the scale. Scales are evil. As long as you know you are making better, healthier choices you should feel good about that! I know the scale is important because weight loss is really about the #?s but it can get rather stressful seeing those #?s fluctuate sometimes! I?ve FINALLY gotten to the point where I can put the scale away all week and have 1 weigh in day (Saturday). That?s the only day the scale comes out or else I?ll obsess over it. J Sad but true! Anyway?have a great day everybody! |

| good morning everyone. or...good afternoon I guess. Where did the morning go?! :) Nice to see Kim and Dances stopping in today. Hello to both of you. We miss you around here. Thanks for the scripture Dances. Kris...you put a new picture up. You look great! Share with us how much weight you have lost because you definately look slimmer than the picture you had up before. Of course, I mean that in a good way. :) Mandy...as a mother of teens I found your testimony very comforting! God is so awesome. Kat...I hope you didn't mix the smoothie and sausage together. :) I do agree about the computer time...I spend way too much time on here but...I feel that it is time well spent. I find it very uplifting and helpful in the place I'm at right now in my life. I still get my job done, spend time with family, etc. so I feel ok about it. Ok...I could be exercising instead of on the computer but that's asking a little too much isn't it?! :) |

| Molly, Love the new pics! It's nice to put a face with a name! You and your hubby are so cute. I HATED the thought of putting pics up on my profile. I generally try to avoid the camera at all costs! :) But...I would strongly reccommend doing the "before" pic. Pictures don't lie! :) I cannot wait to go back and look at the fat pics and say WOW I cannot beleive I was that fat and I'll NEVER let myself get that way again! Kris...I have a freind that had the gastric bypass too. She was craving mcdonald's one day so we went (I know bad...very bad) She had 2 chicken nuggets and was full! Can you beleive that?! 2!! Of course, we won't get started on what one of those "mc" nuggets really consists of. Ok...sorry for rambling and not really ranting either! I just got so excited about seeing Molly's new pics, I had to post! :) |

| Molly, I had some lowfat pumpkin ice cream this weekend! I know it wasn't nearly as healthy as your pumpkin dessert but it was yummy!! :) On another squash related note...we had spaghetti squash for dinner tonight. I have not had it in years but wanted to try it after reading the "molly's diet rants thread" squash suggestions. It can totally be subsituted for real spaghetti noodles. We just cooked it at 375 for an hour and scooped out the "spaghetti" like strands. Served with pasta sauce, spinich and some low fat mozzarella. Very yummy! Pam...here's my points for the week. | Welcome waytofat! Do you want to be called that or something else. :) I feel like I'm talking to myself! ha-ha. Seriously though, I'm SO glad you found us here and want to sign up for the challenge!! Our wonderful friend Pam is the leader and keeps track of our progress for us. This month's challenge we report our weekly points by Monday to her. Let us know if you have any questions about anything. I have just been keeping track of my points in an excel spreadsheet I set up so it makes it a bit easier to track. Some people just write them down, whatever is easiest for you! I just think it's a great way to be held accountable for what we put into our bodies and staying focused on why we are doing this. :) However, if you don't want to do the challenge feel free to come in and fellowship WHENEVER you want to! ps. I had a look at your profile pic. ADORABLE! 4 little girls...that must be SO much fun! :) |
