Ok thanks!! lol well at least the tortise is cute haha. ok that makes more sence yea i have been going back and forth in my head on what i really should be eating and i think my doc (like 3 years ago said like 1200) so i was going to go with that but i stand and walk a good about during work then work out so more than 1200 is probably a better idea. Thanks again that did clear it up a bit for me!! |

| So this week I suck at saying no!! lol I never realised until now how much stress affects what I eat. But i can be good the rest of the day. Ice Cream is my biggest weakness that or tacos!! | |||

| Ok i read everyones post but im a little confused... (im still new to this cal counting stuff) and i do try to work out as well i have gotten out of my work out because of weekend trips out of town. I have been trying to eat 1200 calories a day. well let me start at this im 21 im about 5'8 and im at 260, if lost 18 so far. but what i don't really understand is all this about the calorie defict. so when i do go to the gym i use the elliptical for an average of 30 min an burn 350 cals then use the weight machines i have no idea what that burns I will do upper body one day and lower the next time. so the days i do go and do this i need to increase what i eat by what i plan to burn?? Just trying to understand this so I know im doing it in a healthy way! Thanks to anyone who can help. | |||

| Another work food gathering, the occasion?? "it was on sale" Its called turtle pie or something like that, i had never had it so i have barley a spoon full of it and i was done ( it wasn't as good as it looked) and that teaspoon about was plenty for me lol i deff said no to a piece! I think I enjoyed my water more than that. | |||

Im in Orange Park Florida (out side Jacksonvill) Current weight- 259 First goal weight is 200 ( then ill decide my next goal) Extra about me- I dont crae to be skinny i know in reality i cant be a size 0 and for me to be that small ew gag me! I just want to be healthy and avoind the family health curse!! but so far ive lost 18 Lb and i plan to lose 20 by thanksgiving, (started that at 266) i have no ECUSES holding my back anymore!! but im in love with my carrear as a hair stylest!! id rather stand than sit and walk than stand. |

To "lifeizsweet" all i have to say to what your boyfriend ate is GAG ME! and let me tell you my uncle used to eat like that his entire life he was always like 6'2 and his waiste the size of my leg but now he is in his 40's and he sure isn't skinny any more he has a nice big ole booda (sp) belly. My brother is the same way he had a mini party of his one when he finally broke 100 lb makes me sick!! but i know that the way he eats now and back then will get him when he is older for now he is in the military so he gets plenty of exercise and when he is on deployment not the junk he eats when he's not. but to be honest after not eating that junk for a while, i did eat a burger over the holiday on my way to sc, i couldn't eat it all it tasted nasty and my stomach killed me for it the rest of the drive.. not a fun 4 hours!! your body thanks you for not eating it im sure!! today and all week there has been a huge (no lie) pile of candy on the table i said no to everything there! i just look at everyone eating it and how they look (skin and physical demeanor and all) i know it sounds mean but you can tell a difference in the skin and over all physical appearance who sits and eats junk all day and who doesn't! personally i feel better than i ever have about my self and my self image and i haven't lost that much yet but i have a 20lb goal by thanksgiving and im going to do darn it!! that was my first job i spent nearly 2 years in the bakery! it was so hard at first not to eat all that stuff but i have to say that the more i worked with it and smelled it and having to clean it and everything inbetween i didnt crave it as much! and still to now a over a year later at a desk i still dont crave the gooey sweet cookies and the frozen iceing as much as i did when i started!at first one good thing that helped me not eat it is i thought of it in a customers point of view i would not like to see some one eating on the job behind the counter then come help me. But dont forget to let your self have a little something now and then just control how much and how often! Its hard to say no but at the end of the day it makes you feel good that you did instead of i guess i really shouldnt of had that. Good Job to everyone who said no, and to those who had their treat today good for you! if you know you earned then go for it! everyone have a great day!! |

| Your completely right "jchaitin" It is all in our (my) head. I some what tried that i said no to cheese fries after my friend sat there for about 5 minutes trying to convince me to eat just one. I told my self im allowed one drink for the week. So we went out and i had my one drink but i said no to cheese fries i was very proud of my self for saying no.... she finaly gave but and the strangest thing i think she was actuly a tiny bit mad i said no and i refused her nasty greasy cheese fries. | I do this some times i did last night..... I know not to beat my self up but to be honest i really dont feel that bad about it i know i shouldnt but i did anyways. When i get upset and stressed i dont knwo what else to turn to... its always been food.(i guess that is how i got where i am) people tell me to talk to a freind (friends have told me "u can talk to me" ) but when im ready to (opening up to people is extreamly hard for me more so face to face) the reaction i feel is they dont want to hear it or they done care or that i get its no big deal but im always the one the turn to lets say im Doc Phil with boobs... my best friend i told her i lost 3 lb and all i got was "ya.. well i think i gained it" shes 5 even and litteraly like half of me. to give u an idea why it bothers me. but i dont know how to change this habbit!! i like and welcome change but at the same time it scares me. but this is a change i need badly. any ideas? | |||

| Yea u were right!! lol (which is good) i had to weigh my self to see lol.. came home from vacay- sunday and went up to 269 weighed today at 266 so hopefully i can makeup the rest and then some the rest of the week at the gym! ya im not going to weigh my self anymroe after a week of vacation and drinking lol | |||

| dont for get to feed your muscles! some thing lite and easy Tuna (in water) mixed with mustard (a free be) eat it like that out a bowl or add a slice of cheese ( 50 cal) for some extra taste its great for after a heavy work out | |||

| Swimming laps in the pool is one of the best work outs you can do for your self!! it works everything and low stress on your joints! it can be hard at first i know i used to swim everyday and all summer (yes even in ice i love the water) i was a chunky fit kid when i swam but when we moved to FL (2000)with no pool and just this year the gym i used to go to had a pool i went swimming it was a little hard, just work on doing it right not how fast you can go im not a fast swimmer by any means but i can about out last anyone i know.
that tip about the waitting 10 min is a good idea i make my self drink a glass of water first then think about it again lol and about the regret too bacause i wont want to put it down that i ate it so normaly i end up convincing my self not to eat it |

| If you want to do it everyday you need to give certin sections at least a day break,, do lower body one and and uper the next. working all your muscles everyday doesnt give them a chance to heal (in turn build) when u work them you tear the tissue and that tissue needs time to heal so that you dont real damage to them. If you like to work out daily, cange it up and do upper one and lowe another your cardio i think you can do depending on your health and how how much just a warm up shouldnt hurt you (im not a doc so dont quote me on that) but as far as that rest listen to your body as well if you are sore dont work those muscles heavy just enough to "warm" them up. if your really concerned about it ask your doc he/she will have a better idea of what your body can handle with out killing your self. | |||

| Lol work... your funny. what makes you think I work when im at work im on here! lol. Ya I will wait untill the end of the weekend to weigh my self again. Hopefully its back down by 4 lol. But I wasnt disapointed I was expecting it to be more but i made sure i walked alot around the hotel and utalized the stairs lol. Now we are (at work)are taking a 10 min break to run the stairs lol its only a 4 flight bilding thank goodness!! we will see how long this will last. So I made it this weekend! lol didnt do so good with dietting though but i knew that was going to happen i went up 4 pounds but that was from the drinks... but im back on today and drinkin water and going to the gym tomorrow! have to make up for that!!! hope everyone else had a good weekend!! |

| It is like tomato juice but i had a co-worker taste it and its over powered by celery (yuck) actuly it reminds me of spagheti O's lol (which ive never liked ) im a very picky kid if ya havnt noticed. ill just stick with some salad and just put extra stuff in it like a bunch of carrots and (raw) spinich. thanks though,,, but if u or anyone else has any advice on what i can do the rest of the week, im going to orlando for wed thru sun. to celibrate mine and my best friends 21 birthdays. other than the drinking i dont want to kill this. we are brining some things to eat but there is no mirowave but a fridge. i was thinking of making some meals put it in a bag and heat it up with hot water. but thats all i can really come up with to do i know we are planning to eat out friday and sat so i will be able to get a salad or something like that where ever we go. but i dont want to just eat the 100 cal snacks all week any ideas any one?? | |||

| So im going on a mini vacation this week i leave wed, we are bringing some food with us but there is no micro in the hotel room there is a fridge any ideas on how to not blow this out of the water? i know i will some we are going to celibrate our 21 birthdays so i will be drinking some but im not going to go over so i dont gain 10 pounds by the end of the weekend, but other than that i dont really know what do to about food. we are planning to go out to eat 2 nights so i know i can get a salad or something where ever we go........ | I think im in need of a buddy. everyone around me at first acts as though they want to help and keep up. my mom was going to count with me but mmm that didnt last long... comes home with a bag of candy ( which i dont have much of a problem keeping away from) Im an emotional eater! and i dont know how to stop. My best friend is literaly half my size she is like 5foot and little but not grossly skinny she's always saying she needs to lose weight and it drives me nuts here i am at 265 sitting next to her and then she asks me if i want to go out to eat...uhh noo! Its terible to say i know she likes to be the skinny one, i told her i lost 3 pouns i was so excited because it was in under 2 weeks all she had to say was ya well i think i gained it... I have one person that i know who helps me with this, she does weight watchers so we kind of help each other out im known as the water nazi at work! its great but im looking for a new job i just got my cosmetology license so i want to go work in a salon. But any ways if anyone has any tips or ideas to keep my self from eating when i do get up set i know i can go to the gym but the other night i was so mad and upset about some things and it was like 1 in the morning i tried so hard but finaly gave in i didnt know what to eat that would through me so far off, so i ate some fat free cool whip! but counted it in my cal for the next day. cool whip isnt that bad but hate doing that to my self. its a vicous cycle ive been like this my entire life and thats how i got here. ive lost 12 lb since ive started (no started here) and i want to keep it up but im afraid that if i dont find away to change or control me emotional eating that ill have wasted my time! any ideas???? | |||

so fat this site has been great, learned alot and really made me feel like i really wasnt the only one that strugles with this problem (its obvious i dont but a life time of extra weight makes u feel like u are) but anyways I just wanted to say thanks to everyone!! ill deff stick around here!! |

| LOL id go for the regular V8 the splash has ALOT of sugar! Oh my goodness made my nephew nuts (he's 2 1/2 and doesnt eat vegies she tried this oh my goodness he was a monster, and was normal after she stoped giving it to him, he doesnt get sugar) but ill have to try the reg V8 and here's a lil somethin for your corn, that spay butter!! its great, it tastes like butter but it has nothing in it the one i use has no calories, or really anything else so bring on the corn... I get mine at walmart i buy the cheap one lol. but its great! | |||

| so the "fatburn" setting i know is less intense for an avg heart rate of 130. but when im doing the elliptical my heart rate goes right up i have to concentrate on my breathing to keep it steady. it will be in the high 150's some times reaches 160. but I feel fine im not tired and rearly out of breath when doing this work out. I will burn about 300 or more cals in a half hour. Is it bad for me to have my heart rate that high up?? | |||
