It is nice to have a party for him, and remember it's a party so if you
drink a little too much you can always get back on track the next
day. Just be careful when drinking and of course dont' drive,

Good morning everyone My goals from yesterday.................... i did drink water i didn't do my recipes, that is going to be a big chore.... I did organize my bills somewhat instead of recipes... I didn't snack after 7 p.m. I did walk Lilly. Goals for today
I had an alright day yesterday, I broght my girls to a football game, then i went home did some cleaning. My MIL is home now, so that is good. She is doing alright. Thank God. We are going up there tomorrow, i have to decide what i should make for dinner, am not sure yet, maybe i will make chili or something. I get to see her baby jack russell's i will take some pics and post them here so you can see them too. :) Last night my DH got a deer, a 5 pointer. I never ate venison, and never will, he loves it. I am not much of a meat eater at all. I really am not sure what happened to me, as I use to be all the time. mrsrood Good job on doing great on all your goals, that is awesome and wonderful. :) I think it is that time of the year where things to be getting harder to do, do you agree with me? I don't think that is a small amount of goals, even if you just post one goal that is great, we don't want to set ourselves up to fail, you know what i mean? Some days i give myself alot of goals and other days i do a few. I am just proud to do them. Somedays we need breaks from them too. Good luck with your goals. :) pepper it is nice to have time for myself again. I am glad that everything is going good. I try to be dedicated to my bicycling, seems that i have been neglecting it thou. I am not sure how long it takes to lose inches, but i have noticed my inches being lost by how my clothing is fitting me, there are about 4 pairs of pants i can't wear anymore, cause i have to constantly pull them up all day long, I am not complaining thou. :) Do you write your food intake down on paper too, or just the spreadsheet? Even if you write it down at night before bed and then post it on the spreadsheet the next day that might be easier. :) Good goal to relax at home for a bit, that is important we do that for ourselves. :) Good luck with your goals. :) Laura Good job on doing the free weights. I am finding out lately it is harder to get my bike rides in and other stuff, but am still going to try if time allows, you know what i mean. Sometimes i think there isn't enough hours in the day. I am glad to hear the computer problem is probably just a battery issue, that isnt' too expensive is it? Great idea on holding up a piece of ribbon to measure yourself, i never would of thought of that. :) Thanks for the tip. Ohio 20 mile trip is awesome, you will have to take some pictures of your new trail. I would do your bike ride after lunch, this way it feels like you just worked all of your calories off that you just ate. :) Great job on meeting your goals. You will get rid of those 7#'s from having company, so just hang in there and DO NOT give up. :) I agree with you on the air smelling so wonderful, it is the time of the year. I think it is so beautiful out, the leaves are changing and it just looks and feels fresh and crisp outside. :) I will have to take some pictures of my area i ride my bike. I can completely understand your muscles shutting down, you sound so stressed out, you need to make sure to take time to deep breathe and relax for yourself, You should go buy a nice steamy romance book and some new candles, and bubble bath, and take an hour for you to relax in a warm bubble bath with candles and a book, this will help your muscles too. Or if you dont' want to read, listen to some soothing music. I love to listen to Nora Jones when i am in my bath relaxing mood. I would tell everyone that you are taking a bath and locking the door only to interrupt you if an emergency. :) I am sorry to hear all the stress that is going on at work and the reunion coming up and the move, just remember to take time for yourself. :) I hope you have a great day today and RELAX. Everyone you are all doing great and I am so glad you post here and share with us all. I know sometimes it gets hard and stressful, not just watching what we eat, etc, but life in general, but just remember when it gets too overwhelming, take time for yourself, breathe, relax, and enjoy your life. Good morning everyone.
Thank you so much for all your concerns, I appreicate
it. She gets to go home today, yippee and we
are going up there Saturday to help with chores and make dinner,
etc. I was able to ride my bike yesterday, we didn't go up to marquette. We decided we would go this weekend. Ohio I have a friend who also went to the ER for abdominal pain and they gave her pain pills and sent her home, however it got worse so she went to another ER that was an hour away in her hometown, and thank god , they told her she would of died if she didn't come in, that they were wrong sending her home with pain pills, she had a severe case of diverticulitis, and had to be hospitalized. Thank goodness she survived, I just start to question the ER. Where are the doctors that really cared and wanted to get right to the point of the problem. 3.8#'s in 3 days that is awesome. You are so lucky. Good for you. My weight is slowly coming off but at least it is going off. 3.8 is so good. great job. I know what you mean on saying less then you do more, hee hee. :) Pepper I am glad to be back and will keep you all informed as to how she is doing. As for rest, I think i am much better now. I did sleep alot the other day. I did have some chocolate last night, a ding dong, yum. I weighed myself this morning and it didnt' go up or down, so that ding dong didn't hurt me. :) Laura Going uphill only took you 35 minutes, that is great. I bet you felt that workout hey. :) I bet it was pleasent going home with the hills being downhill. :) It is nice to get the exercise done with early, then you need not worry later on. I like that too. :) My goals for today:

Good morning everyone. I am so glad to
see our regular posters on here and new ones who keep posting, great
job everyone on your goals and everything. Pepper &
Ohio we all get burned out just get back on that wagon,
you can do it. It is great you posted here to tell us, that is
the first step. :) I am glad you did. I am sorry to all of you for not posting the last week, I have had family emergecy, my mother-in-law, was rushed to the hospital she was bleeding from her brain. She just finally moved out of ICU last night and is in a regular room, she should be able to leave in a couple days. It is great she is out of ICU. They did tests and everything, they did an angiogram yesterday to make sure she wasnt' bleeding anymore, and she isn't yippee. :) She will have to be off of work for 7 weeks they said, and then she will have to have another CT with dye in 2 weeks, to make sure all the blood absorbed back into the body. Thank god she is ok. It was hectic. We had to drive there everyday, to the hospital, it is about 1 1/2 hours away. All she did was blow her nose and then bam she had excruitating head pain, and started throwing up. The ER doctor was going to send her home with Flonase, and she insisted he do a CT, thank god she insisted, or else she could have died, stupid ER doctor. They say her being diabetic thinned her blood vessels and it just burst with her blowing her nose, plus stress. She needs to relax now for at least 7 weeks, that will be very hard for her, she is a worker, she lives on a farm and has 8 horses, new jack russell puppies, and other animals. Her husband has been very good and I am glad we could be there every day with him. :) It was pretty stressful for me, i didn't get any exercise in, did ok on eating, but wanted sweets, and i think i wanted them from being worried, but i did alright. :) Enough of that, I don't want to bring anyone on a downer, I just wanted to let you know where I have been and why I haven't been on here, and wanted to say sorry I have missed you all. :) Goals for today That is it for my goals today, as we are going to bring my daughters up to see Grandma after school, (we didn't want them to see her when she was in ICU) so I am not sure if I will get a bike ride in or not. :) I sure hope everyone continues to post here and does great on your goals. It sure sounds as if you are all doing a good job. :) Pepper I will be mailing your exchange out on Friday. Laura Penny's present will be mailed out that same day. Have a great day all of you. Good morning everyone. It is so awesome to
see all the posts, oh my goodness I am behind hee hee. If I miss
anything I am sorry. :) I am glad to see new people.
Welcome to all the new people. I am glad you come here. It
is so great that you all are doing such a great job on posting your
goals. :) I am proud of you all. To show you all how proud I am of you I am going to do a drawing each week on Sundays for those who post on here every day Monday through Friday (if there is an understandable reason you miss a day let me know) I will put your names in a bowl and draw a winner and you will win a surprise from me. :) I hope this will intrique you all. :) Let me tell you what has been going on with me............. I have been doing good I have been riding my bike every day and walking Lilly. I have been busy with the kids and homework and actually have been busy at work. Yippee. :) It makes work go by much faster. I have missed being on here the last couple days. I look forward to this thread so much. When I miss it i hate it. So forgive me. :) mrsrood I completely understand how we tell our husbands and they can not really care at all. I know mine is the same way, he says great job blah blah blah but I know he is just being nice, and it doesn't matter to him. When the weather is bad, i do my arm exercises and leg lifts and take it easy. That means a easy day. :) Great job on doing your goals. I too think of what i posted as my goals and that is what makes me do them. :) I am sorry to hear the person who works out with you won't be going anymore, that really does suck especially usually that other person is a motivator, you know what i mean. I had joined a gym once with a friend and we did great in the begining and then she couldnt' go anymore and needless to say i stopped going, i felt dumb going by myself and didn't have any encouragement from anyone. Now I would make myself because it is good for me. You keep going, meet new people there. You will do great. REmember you are doing it for YOU. :) Laura sorry to hear about all the tire trouble. It is funny how this day and age is different from before. Did you know when you send your pics that they can be resized automatically? All you do is go to your file where your pics are and highlight the ones you want to send and then right click and click on "Send to mail recipient" then it will ask you if they can resize the pics for those people and you just click ok or yes, and it will make them an appropriate size without hurting your pics. they only change the ones that were sent, the ones in your folder will stay the same. I hope this make sense, and if you knew this already I am sorry. Just wanted to share the info with you. :) spark29 Good job on your calories and do enjoy your bier, tha tis great. :0 Glad you posted. meltydawne when studying late, drink a nice ice cold class of water, it burns more calories when the water is cold, so it is a bonus drinking water and having it ice cold. :) Good luck with your goals. jr5757 I am glad you found this thread. loisellen am glad to hear you went to the gym,
that is good, you did something and that is what matters. Shame
on you spending over your limit, did you do any Christmas
shopping? If you did then I would say it is alright. :)
You could do a new hobby in the evenings to keep your mind,
yourself and your fingers busy, like crocheting or knitting, or cross
stitiching, or even plastic canvas. It keeps you from snacking
and it is cheaper than shopping. :) Good luck with your
goals over the weekend, what are they? I didn't see you post
them? Are you going to have any this weekend? Good

Good morning everyone. I was awaken this morning with thunder and
lightning and lots of rain. I was afraid that it would knock a
tree down on my house or something. UGH. Thank goodness it
didn't. I got to work and opened the store and it was so dark in
here, it hasn't been dark like that in a long time, i figure cause
there is no sun out there today. It is wet and cold out. I
am sure it will rain some more. finallymeagain great job on meeting your goals. That can be a good thing when we are in the bathroom all day, it lets us know we are getting our water intake, you know what i mean? :) I have noticed when i drink diet soda that my stomach gets upset, does this happen to you or anyone else? I have been very good at not having any soda, i have coffee and water. I do have soda in the fridge incase I am in the mood for one. It is nice knowing it is there. pepper you got a long to do list too hey. I am going to have a nice weekend i think. My kids are both going to be gone tonight. One is camping with her friend and girlscouts and boyscouts for the whole weekend until Sunday afternoon, and the other one is staying at a friends house tonight and babysitting with her in the morning and then going to a dance at the YMCA, then they are coming to my house to stay the night. It will be a nice weekend. I can get some cleaning down without having to do it twice, lol :) I hope the weather gets nicer thou. Good job on your goals too. Laura sorry to hear about your not so good start this morning. I hate those days. I too got the rain. THat is still great you went for a 45 minute ride, that is awesome, you still rode and that is what counts. No dal, hey? What is dal? The roasted corn chowder sounds yummy. lovidovi you did an awesome job on your goals too. I am terrible at not emptying the dishwasher too. I am also bad at not putting the laundry away. ugh the little things can be the darnest. :) Great job on logging your calories that is great you shoudl be proud, i am one that doesn't do that i just watch what i am eating, i did start for awhile on logging my calories but didn't continue, i admit i got lazy. I have to find my diet journal, i have an idea where it is. I am going to write in it tonight and put it next to my bed so i can do it each night. Good luck with yours. You should go take a hot bubble bath for your sore feet, that is always relaxing, maybe some bubble bath with lavendar in it. so relaxing too. :) ohio It is so great to see new ppl on here hey. I am going to get a new bike hopefully from DH for Christmas Present, it is a hybrid bike from our local bike shop and it is $400.00 which isn't too bad at all. I tested it out and it is a smooth comfy ride, so I am excited. I actually have something i can request for Christmas, I always say not to get me anything, if they insist i insist on something handmade that is so important and special and has more thought and meaning in it. :) But hee hee this year I want a new bike. :) Good job on your goals too. mlbtracy You are very brave, I see bikers all
the time like you describe yourself and think they are awesome. I
think it is always nice to learn on your own too so when you go back
with your group you may be better than the time before. :)
Also the not crashing and taking out more folks than just yourself, was
very funny and cute. :) LOL You have a nice
set up for carrying all your necessities, that is great. I never
thought of copying my driver's license and insurance, what a great

Good Morning everyone. It sure is great to see new people on here. I am glad. This thread is always open to anyone. mlbtracy I am glad to hear you are alright from your incident yesterday. I tell you that would of scared me enough not to go that fast again. I must say you are brave, be careful. Where do you carry your extra stuff with you when you ride? Great Tip on the Dollar Bills, Thank you for sharing that with us. :) It does suck when everyone else is eating nachos and beer in front of you, ugh hey. Especially if they bug you to have some of their nachos, i hate that, you should only have to say no once, you know what I mean? I never understood why they keep insisting. A cheeseburger and fries, sounds yummy and sinfully good. lol It is good you ate slowly. There is always today, so dont' worry. I am just getting concerned when Thanksgiving and Christmas gets here. All the food. That is when we will most likely need each others support the most, hey? Laura That is nice that Penny didn't stop and sniff much or bark. I know exactly how that is. They are just so curious. I especially dont' like Lilly trying to chase after cars. That makes me nervous. You did a great job on your goals yesterday. Good for you. I love italian food. I bet your thin crust was yummy. That is good that you liked the place, it is always seems so hard to find a good place you can go back to. What is dal? You will get back on the road with the calories, we are all allowed to have days where we dont' do so well on our goals, as long as we know and admit it and get back on the road, i think that is important. That sucks especially since you have been going there for 3 years. You take it easy today. Good Morning everyone. It is looking gloomy out here today, i think it may rain, the sun is hiding behind clouds. I don't like days like this, it kind of makes me sad and lazy. I am hoping that sun comes out and brightens stuff up. :) Last night I had my class and it went very well, 3 people showed up that usually arent' there, so it was nice they came and it was a full class. I only had two frapuccinos, yum. I was good. Actually after the second one, my tummy started hurting, so I figured it must be from the drinks, i think i am going to start writing down the stuff that gives me upset stomachs, then I can avoid them. I got home from work yesterday before crochet class and my DH made dinner for us, shake and bake pork chops, mashed potatoes, stuffing and warm french bread. It was very nice of him, however I am not much of a meat eater, so i only tried a bite of his and of course told him it was good. I had some mashed potatoes and 3 pieces of the warm french bread, I don't like stuffing, I sure hope his feelings weren't hurt, that was very nice of him to make dinner before my class. :) For my goals yesterday....................... I drank my water, had only 2 fraps, did arm exercises, the rest i didn't do. I think i need to give myself less goals for the day. :) mlbtracy I understand on having fear with your bike riding, i completely understand, i would too. It is brave of you to try and to conitnue to do it. Good Luck with it, and be careful. :) Did you hit the brakes? :) girlier I agree with you that when you drink water you are less likely to snack. I also noticed my complexion is so much better when i drink alot of water. LOL burning calories walking to the bathroom and back, i remember working at the medical group and always having to go the bathroom, they would tease me, nicely of course. :) Laura Glad to hear you made it to winco to do some shopping. 30 minutes is great just think it is better than none. Penny is lucky to have you, she must expect those walks in the mornings. I am not really a morning person, so Lilly gets the walks in the late afternoon or early evening. :) Pepper I like your goal of going to bed early, what time do you usually go to bed? I have been going to bed really late the last couple nights, around 2 am. It must of been a big project that you were stressed out, I am glad that it is finished and you can be stress free, yippie. :) I hate parking tickets, I never got one, but did get a ticket once for passing on the right when the car in front of me was waiting to turn left, that sucked, i got 3 points off my license and a $100 fine. I see people do that all the time, it makes me mad. However I NEVER do that anyomore. Welcome back lifeizsweet. Sound like you had a great break. That is awesome your boy surprised you, that is a nice surprise. Did you take alot of pictures? How cool. I am glad you enjoyed it. :) Am glad you are back. :) Ohio Why are you going to be riding on crused limestone? You will definetly have to tell us what it is like. I did go to your profile but there is no picture link for you at all. I will try again. I never thought about checking my tires every week. I just look at them and see if they look low and push on them to see if they feel low, if they aren't then i don't do anything , if they are then i fill them up. That is a great question, i never thought of that. Does anyone know when is the appropriate time to check your tires? Weekly? Daily? 179.5 that is so awesome. I can't wait to be in the 170's I am so happy to be in the 180's. Congratulations again Ohio, that is great you are off the plateau. Hi everyone. It is nice to see some new posts here, welcome mlbtracy, and meltydawne. It is weird that i didn't get to post first thing in the morning. I was pretty busy today at work, I am having some sales and wanted to redo the displays in the store and make signes, etc. I am suppose to be done with work at 3 which is now, but decided I miss you all and wanted to post before i left for home. My weekend was pretty good. I got to ride my bike, walk the dog, do some ab exercises, and drank alot of water, yippie. It is beautiful out today. I am hoping to get a bike ride in today too. I have my crochet class tonight, so we will see, sometimes I would love to ride my bike to class but being the teacher i need to bring a few things that is too hard to carry on the bike basket. I won a coffee mug from my favorite coffee shop yesterday. They called me to tell me I won, i guess they draw names with those who turn in their cards, (you get a card and a punch each time you get a coffee, you get 10 and your 11th one is free) I was so happy I get to pick that up today. That is where I have class at :) I was happy. I did go to the movies to see "The Brave One' it was alright, it was long but it was ok. I went to bingo on Sunday afternoon and my friend won $300.00 we split each time we go this way we both win. HOwever I didn't get to bingo that day. I did come home a winner thou. :) Laura I am glad to hear you are feeling much better. Isn't it amazing how when we are sick we don't want to eat but when we feel better we can eat like a pig. lol. I love direct deposit, except usually i never have cash on me then, lol. that is the downfall for me. I tend to write checks even for a small amount, like a gallon of milk or something, it is funny. pepper Lilly is doing really good with her collar. I like it, maybe after she is use to it for awhile I will take it off and try to walk her without it. :) I had a cat once and would put a harness on her and walk her around the neighborhood, this is when I lived in Navy housing. People thought i was nuts, but I didn't want anything to happen to my kitty. :) I thought it was cute. Dont' give up on the harness with your kitten. :) You still haven't made that winter melon hey? Don't forget to tell us about it when you do try it. You can have more time to work on the exchange, how is the end of the month for both of us? Do you need more time? I will send you my address through email on here :) I am glad that doing the exchange has kept you motivated. :) So you too don't like putting laundry away??? lol :) I saw your little comment to me, thought it was cute and got a chuckle. ohio Congratulations on getting off that plateau!! I bet you are happy. I am so happy for you. I hate plateaus. It is that time of the month for me so I will be staying away from the scale until it is over, i don't want to get sad. :) You know what i mean. I didn't see the blanket you posted, did you take it off? I am bad too at finishing big projects, that is why i like my crochet class it helps me get my stuff done. I am the one who told you about the fiber one bars, so you like them, hey. They are yummy and i like they aren't hard, they are chewy. THey keep me full. :) What flavor did you get? meltydawne Your goal is good no coke, i have stopped drinking soda and have been drinking more water and coffee of course. For me I noticed I got some headaches when I stopped drinking soda, so if you get a headache just take an aspirn instead of a soda, it will get better, eventually they go away. It is great you met half your goal and had no carbonated beverages, i found that i felt better without the soda, i really think it made me sick to the stomach, so ireally dont' have it too much. When you aren't use to drinking water i think that 40 oz is great, keep it up. Good luck. :) mlbtracy good luck on your goals be careful not to crash, have you crashed before? is that why it is a goal? 35mph that is fast, how long of a ride do you go? I didn't get to the post office like I wanted to yesterday, but will for sure tomorrow. i have alot of things i need to mail out. :) Goals for today.... Good Morning. It looks like it may be a
somewhat nice day outside but still cold out there. I am not
ready for this that is for sure. I love to be warm. Ohio I know it gets frustrating being on a plateau, but dont' give up. Have you changed any of your exercise or eating routines? Just to try to see if that helps get you off the plateau. I was reading a post on the site the other day and someone suggested not working out for a week, then go back to your routine. That could be something to try. :) I know you'll get off that plateau.....so don't get depressed or give up. :) Lol on new moms wanting baby blankets in lime green and navy, you are absolutely right, i have noticed that too. It is nice though to make something that isn't pink or blue. Do you knit or crochet? What baby blanket pattern do you use? Do you have any pictures of your finished baby blankets you can share with us? I would love to see them. I love to see others work, it is always so nice to see how others do stuff. :) Laura That is great you dont' have strep, i only had that once and omg it was horrible and never would want it again, i would rather being sick throwing up with body aches and congestion than have strep, does anyone agree with me?? Just make sure to drink alot of fluids and stay warm and get lots of rest, truly the more rest you get the better you feel and the sooner you will kick it. I believe that. Well I really didn't get to do much of my goals as i had wanted to. I had a busy afternoon after work. I went to the bank, got home picked up cause of course the kids dont' know how, lol, then I had to bring them to a football game and then my DH got home we went into town and ate at Hong Kong Buffet, chinese food love it, but i was very good. i had one plate and i ate white rice, green beans, and brocoli, and a few pieces of black pepper chicken. Yummy Yum. Then we did some shopping around and finally got home and dropped the DH and shopping bags off at 9 oclock and then went to my mom's to visit with her until 9:30 because that is when i had to pick up the girls from the game, however the game went on until 10 pm, so I didn't get any time yesterday to do any outdoor activities. Goals for today...... Do arm exercises Drink 50 oz water Walk Lilly Do 30 abloungers (I'm going to dig out my ab lounger) That is it, I am going to the movies tonight to see the "Brave One". Hi Jim. Don't Give Up! We all have been
where you are, and you posting here is a great start to get help from
us. That is why wer are all here to support each other. I
find this place so awesome. I know that for me if I don't eat
breakfast that slows down my weight loss progress. Do you eat
breakfast? Try changing your exercise routines around do some
different ones. Drink more water too. Do you drink alot of
water? I am no expert that is for sure but just thought I'd tell
you what I was thining, and try to help you with some motivation.

Laura are you sick? The sore throat must of went further
hey. Get plenty of rest and take a nice hot bubble bath later and
get some sleep. :) I hope you feel better. P.S. If you get hungry and still have your sore throat you could make some hot cocoa and toast and dunk your toast in your cocoa. It's yummy yum. Good morning. Not a very nice day out today. We are suppose to get below freezing tonight and i believe it. I am feeling better so is hubby. I just have this cough and it comes at night when I am laying in bed trying to sleep. UGH. It always seems to happen like that. Yesterday after work i did go apply for a job at our jobforce here, I didn't do the water but did do arm exercises and leg lifts. I walked Lilly for a short walk, cause it started raining hard on us. I bought a choke collar yesterday to see if that will help my sweet Lilly from trying to chase the cars when they go by us, I hope it works and doens't hurt her, the guy at the feed store said it is alright and it should work. We will see. I also got her some yummy greenies. They definetly help with her breath. Laura I am glad you enjoyed the cake and didn't binge, i know exactly what you mean about having something so good that it puts you into a binge, ugh i hate that when it happens. I am sorry to hear you have a sore throat, it is that time of the year and that stuff is going around. Do you gargle with warm salt water, if not you should try it , it really does work. Isn't it nice when the dogs are sleeping peacefully next to us when we are relaxing. They are just so darn cute. :) I just read about the Tibetan Bowls, that is pretty cool. I would love to hear one. I never know about them. Homemade minestrone soup yum, i bet you liked that with the throat being sore. I love to eat hot stuff when it is sore, especially tomatoe soup but now i realize how much salt is in tomatoe soup so i am going to have to try to find a low sodium one which i am sure there is. :) Hi Pepper nice to see you back on here. I completely understand about being busy, I am just glad you didn't forget about us. :) Thanks for hoping i feel better, i really do now, except for my coughing at night time. Good job on still going to your class when you are so busy, you got to make time for yourself too. 6mph jogging on the treadmill that is great. The scale going down is great and I would just ignore the fact that it might be because you were sweating, lol i would, this way you will be excited and want to do more. :) Take care and make sure to make time for yourself this month whether it is for a bubble bath at night or a 10 minutes quiet time. :) I'm glad you stopped to say hi. :) ohio yes i did see the crocheting as an activity on here. I should do more with the tools here. I usually just come here and look at the threads and post here and that is about it. I will look at the other stuff today. I am crocheting so much right now, i always have so WIP's, that means Works in Progress, crochet lingo. :) I am working on a shawl for an exchange i am in, also making 8 coasters, 2 6" granny squares all for an exchange. I am also making something for Pepper her and I are exchanging home made stuff this month so i can't tell you what it is. Hee hee. I really love to crochet it relaxes me and it is so nice to be able to give homemade gifts away and especially when you know the receiver will appreciate it. I know what you mean about thin thread, Size 10 crochet cotton, it is the stuff i make doilies with, very delicate thread and beautiful. How sweet your daughter is crocheting and looked at you and said she followed directions, lol cute. Does she still do some crocheting? I hope so. I know not too many people do that stuff anymore. Goals for today....... Drink 60 oz water, (i have 5 water bottles in front of me to remind me to drink them,lol ) Do arm exercises Walk Lilly (weather permitting) Get some stuff together for to mail out on Monday. Good morning. What a day out here today. It is cold and
windy and I hate it. I like it when it isn't so windy and if I am
not sick. Last night I coughed alot and then finally fell asleep
am not sure what time, but thought i would never get any sleep.
That is the last part of this lingering congestion cold yippie.
Knock on wood. Laura Did you like the Yoga class? Do you go any other times with your friend? What is a bowl concert? I forgot to ask you that yesterday and also forgot to tell you to have fun, sorry about that. It sounds like you did have fun, so that is good. How was the choco peanut butter bomb cake? The name alone sounds great. :) Those silly pets, if they don't get our attention hey. lol we would be lost without them thou. :) 13 cups of water is awesome. I figure as long as you do what you wanted to do whether it is for a shorter than you wanted to bike ride that like you said it is better than not doing it at all. Good job on your goals. I am going to try your salad hopefully this weekend. :) Thank you for sharing the recipe. ohio 20 miles is a long ride, great job. You are lucky you had the perfect weather and countryside to drive through with no other car, how awesome and relaxing. Good morning everyone. It was so weird not being able to get back on here yesterday, I actually had some work to do with the owner. I even had customers, i think because of the change of weather. Then after work i went home and got ready for my crochet class and then all of us at class went to a Home Interior party with munchies of course. I behaved thou. :) This friend has one every year at this time. Then i got home to a warm house, the husband decided to turn the heat on, which was fine for me. I was doing better with my sore throat and congestion yesterday and then today I wake up with coughing, ugh. That is it thou, so this must be the end, knock on wood. My husband woke up in the middle of the night sick, dizzy, sweaty, and upset stomach, so hopefully he is not getting sick, i left this morning and he was still sleeping so I didn't bother him. Hopefully he will be better today he has to go back to work tomorrow. I didn't get to do any sort of exercise yesterday. Not enough time, i did move my fingers alot crocheting. lol maybe that can count. lol I feel so behind on the thread, i hope i don't forget anyone. I love to respond to you all so you know I am here and listening. :) I started looking at the sodium content of foods and I am shocked at how much is in small things. I never imagined. I have stopped salting my food too. This is hard. I can do it thou. Lifeizsweet I didn't find my blueberry cake recipe but am still going to look in some other places for it, we moved in our new house last year so some stuff is still in boxes. I will find it thou. It is a great recipe. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us, it sounds yummy yum. I can't wait to make it for my honey. Laura Penny only plays with tennis balls, I bet she would love a lazer pointer, you can get them at Staples, Office Max, a store like that, mine was $20.00. It is a pointer with a lazer doing the pointing, like in presentation people will use a lazer pointer to point at something way up on the screen that they can't reach. It's a lazy way to play with the animals, lol. I do this to mine if I don't get to walk her. I have noticed thou that I am going to have to start walking her every night regardless of the weather and time, she has too much energy and needs them walks. I am dreading it tonight, cause it is so cold here, but am going to do it for her and of course for us, cause she is too wound up at night. This will calm her down. I'm glad you love my long posts, if ever anyone gets sick of them just let me know. I am actually surprised at how much i do write, lol. Is your daughter doing better with her strep throat? I hope so. Ohio yes sugar with blueberries, i figure it is a treat a sweet one at that, i don't get much often cause of seasonal and also i eat them in milk which is good as I never drink milk at all. So this is also a bonus for me. That is how I look at it. lol You should try some sugar and milk with the frozen blueberries just for a sweet surprise treat. :) I think everyone feels that just looking at food makes you gain weight. I wish it wasn't so hard to be a good weight and healthy. That is scary that the semi was right next to you while riding your bike, not much room hey. I am glad you are alright and have decided not to go that direction again. I have really noticed how drivers don't (not all drivers) really slow down or care that you are riding your bike, that makes me mad. I want to go see that movie "3:10 to Yuma" I am glad you said it was great. :) Thanks :) Pepper I am glad to hear you too like my long posts. lol I still am shocked at how much i write. lol. The thigh master is alright. You know Suzanne Sommers (Chrissy from Three's Company) while she was promoting the thigh master, it is a red thingy you put between your legs (thighs) and bring them together. I hope that helps with the description. I am not that good at giving out descriptions. I am glad that my girls are doing good so far, i know it just started but my youngest one she almost didn't pass last year, so it is important that she does good this year. Winter melon, sounds yummy and refreshing you will have to let us know how you cooked it and how it tasted and if you liked it. :) Do you still like your class and your trainer? How is it going? I always think taking a class is better it gives you motivation, you get to go somewhere and not be bothered or interrupted. Ohio Did you ever eat the fiber one bars? They have 35% of the daily fiber you need. I make sure to eat one a day if not 2. Some friends of mine call them fart bars, lol. One of my friends stopped by yesterday at work here and gave me her 2 boxes of fiber one bars, and i asked her why she said all she does is fart. lol Lucky me (knock on wood) I don't get that problem with them. I really like them, they have the consistency of a chewy rice krispie bar, unlike the hard crunch of granola bars. Do you know what I mean? OMG Laura that is awesome that you went for such a long bike ride. Great job. I am going to check out that site you mentioned the mapmyride.com I bet you felt so wonderful after that ride, hey? Great job on filing the paperwork too. :) Has anyone tried the Smart Balance Creamy Peanut butter, it is awesome, they use molasses instead of oil, and it has no trans fats or hydrogenated oils, it really does taste pretty good. I thought I would mention that since I see you are talking about the PB2, that is the first time I heard of PB2, interesting. lifeizsweet I can't wait to hear how your cake turns out. Good morning everyone. As you all probally
noticed I never get to be on here on Mondays, usually I am not at the
computer on Mondays on Tuesdays is when I start my long week.
:) I am so glad to see all of you posting and giving out so much
advice, and of course I have got some questions on some of the stuff so
I will ask them as well. :) My weekend was alright. My daughters went to a football game on Friday night so I had some alone time with the husband to watch some tv in peace in quiet. lol Usually it takes us an hour to watch a half hour show. Cause of the kids or dogs. Thank goodness we have tivo. I would really be lost without it. The rain did stop for a bit and it was cold. I couldn't believe the girls still wanted to go to the football game. Kids are crazy hey. My goals for the weekend was ok. I did do some of my thigh master and did some arm exercises, I didn't drink much water this weekend. I did watch my salt intake. I really didn't feel very good when i got home Friday from work, I was so congested. I wasn't in the mood to really eat anything. I was going to have some tomato soup and grilled cheese but then thought of how much salt is in the soup so i passed and had a grilled cheese. I drank alot of coffee too to help me with my throat. Saturday it turned out somewhat nice out and I went to town with a friend to watch this soldier come home from Iraq, we were there for support, there was so many people it was awesome. He got shot in the neck and is paralyzed from his chest down. He is 19 or 20, and our town did a big welcome home parade, there was so many people. It felt good to show our support. Then it does get me wondering of the other soldiers who come home and probally don't get recognized like that well that made me sad and it's not fair, but I am just one person, you know what I mean. I am thankful and grateful to all of our troops and even to the civilians who are over there that aren't in the service. Thank you to them all. :) I got worse over the weekend with my sore throat it actually cleared up but i got really congested, ugh. i took a nice hot bubble bath and thought of what i like about myself and one think is I am honest, and pride myself in that. :) After I got out of my bath i layed down on my bed and fell asleep. If you want I will look for my blueberry cake recipe this weekend and
give it to you to try. Just let me know. I am not sure what
the cals are per slice. Your lemon and almond cake sounds very
good, you will have to let us know. :) Is it a simple
recipe? I made a lemon meringue pie from scratch for my DH for
Christmas and it took forever (lemon is his favorite) and his mom
ruined it, i was so mad. I haven't made another one since, this
was probably 4 years ago. lol Have a great day. |

Good morning everyone. It is raining pretty bad here today.
It started last night. There wasn't much thunder or lightning
that I am aware of. At least none of it woke me up if there was
any. I did listen for awhile to the sound of the rain, it can be
comforting. I woke up with a sore throat this morning and can
still feel it bothering me, so i will have to gargle with warm salt
water when I get home. Yesterday I helped both my girls with their homework, my oldest daughter is in algebra and i couldn't help her with it, i did try but dad had to take over, my goodness the things they teach kids now a days. In order for them to graduate high school they have to have 4 math classes and a foreign language class, the math ones are, algebra I & II, Trigometry and Geometry. Any foreign language they can choose that one. I am telling you I had just General Math in school. I was telling my friend that by the time our kids graduate we will be "scientists", lol. My girls are in 7th and 8th grades. They are doing good so far and understanding it all so far. Yesterday after work here i went to apply for a marketing position so I am hoping to hear something today or Monday, it is for 40 hours a week. I hop[e to get it. :) Something to get me out of here, especially since he is thinking on closing this place down. Hold on got customers....... They came in here looking for a cheap raincoat, well it is a carhartt store and unfortuneately we don't have any cheap stuff. Oh well. At least I had some customers today so far that is a good sign for being early still. I haven't been doing too good on my goals lately, I didn't get to complete all my goals, i think it has just been hard with so much running around I am doing and helping with the kids, etc... I did drink my water, arm exercises. I walked Lilly around the pond. I didn't ride my bike . I also didn't discover what I like about myself, i didn't think about it at all. Tonight I am going to take a nice hot bubble bath and think about that and think about all that I am grateful for. :) Todays Goals: Watch my salt intake... can someone tell me how much i should get a day ?? Drink my water Do arm exercises Do the thigh master........ i found it in my basement last night, I bought it a long time ago at a rummage sale I think for a quarter. I might as well try it out. Take a bubble bath and think of myself That is it for me for today..... as for tomorrow and this weekend I think I am going to ride my bike as much as i can if it is nice outside. :) lifeizsweet I love frozen blueberries in milk with some sugar, yummy yum. I know the sugar part isn't good but yum. I also have a good recipe for blueberry cake that is yummy. :) I don't care too much for blackberries, they aren't bad, but prefer blueberries. I remember going blackberry picking with my mom, brother and my aunt one day (a long time ago) and we saw a big bear in the woods where we were and me and my brother started running super fast leaving my mom and aunt in the dust... lol of course my mom doesn't let us forget it, which i don't blame her, but my excuse at that time was I needed to be around to raise my daughters.. lol figure Being efficient is a great thing. :) Do you ever use a laser pointer to play with Penny? I use one sometimes with my dogs and they just love it and now my Lilly knows where the light is coming from she is a stinker. lol :) Sorry to hear your daughter is sick, i hope she is better today especially since it is the weekend. I really do I look forward to our posts. :) That is great that you are the only one in the Women on weights class, that makes it nicer for the trainer to make sure you are doing it right and maybe even push you harder to do it since there isn't anyone else there for her to do that to, do you know what I mean? Good luck with the class and enjoy it. Ohio I can't wait to limit the salt intake and see a difference. I am one who salts everything even before tasting it to see if it needs it. When you eat your frozen blueberries do you eat them in milk with sugar???
