| I'm so glad I read this! My BMR is somewhere between 1600 and 1700 and I eat between 1300 and 1400 to maintain a defecit of 1000 calories everyday after I work out. I was worried it was going to hurt my weightloss efforts. | |||

| You're probably undereating but without your stats it's hard to tell to what degree you're undereating. What are your stats? Women (assuming you're a woman) aren't supposed to consume under 1200 calories daily. Your body is probably going into preservation mode, which means it's holding onto everything you eat. | |||

| Let's have a weekly weigh in say on thursdays? So for today we could post starting weight, goal weight by August 25th, what we plan on doing to reach our goals and what we would like the group to provide for us (for example low cal recipes, support, exercise ideas, etc.) =] Current weight: 174 Goal weight by August 25th: 158 Plan: Eat 1300-1400 calories daily, exercise 400+ calories off at gym. Group: I would like support and motivation from the group. I have a tendency to lose motivation after awhile. Also, if you have any ideas on how to make the group more motivational so we achieve our goals that would be great! =] |

I also do cardio 5-7 days a week for approximately an hour burning 400 or more calories. On occasion, I do strength training as well. I plan to start a strength training schedule once I get smaller. | I'm in! I started trying to climb back on the wagon monday and so far so good. I go to the gym once a day and burn 400 calories and eat anywhere between 1300-1400 calories. I'd really like to lose 15 lbs by August 25 to reach 160. My ultimate goal is 115 and I started at 199. Let's get this wagon moving! | |||

| Say you burn 2000 calories by just breathing everyday and you eat 2200 everyday but then burn 800 everyday at the gym. Your net calorie intake will be 1400 with a defecit of 600 meaning a weight loss of 1.2 pounds per week. So yes, it is still possible. | |||

| I pledge hesitantly. In the past I've tried to join "groups" like this but not talking to them every day makes me lose interest and I quickly lose motivation to lose weight.
I started in January at 199 and I'm currently 173. I hope to be at 150 by September and ultimately 125 by my 18th birthday in December, possibly 120 by January, I'm 5'6. I'm currently very motivated to lose weight and I hope the motivation doesn't fade. After I reach my goal weight I plan on toning and hopefully be confident enough to wear a bikini next summer! |
