| Hey Gina, glad you are moved!!! I bet it feels strange not to have to think about "the man" ha ha. I can't remember his name. I will toast with a juice! I had a rough day of eating out. I had a plan but my husbands boss grabbed us for lunch and I gave in. I worked all day cleaning my husband office. I didn't do too badly, but I haven't logged anything. I exercised 3 days in a row but missed today, but worked hard, sweating, cleaning. I'm not going to beat myself up, I'll do better tomorrow! |

| Good morning! So this is official weigh in day huh? Hmmmm, I weighed 3 lbs more, ha ha. I'm hoping it has something to do with water retention. I worked out a lot this week! Anyway, I know it will pay off, I'm not going to stress over those numbers as much. I'm going to look at clothes size. The clothes don't lie, but the scales do sometimes. Anyway, for the record, my weight was 292 this morning. For those of you who haven't looked at Molly's page, here are some quotes that she has posted on there. I like them all and wanted to share with you. I'm going to pick one for my diet moto. When the world says, "Give up," Hope whispers, "Try it one more time." ~ Author Unknown . Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain. ~ Author Unknown . Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there. ~ Josh Billings Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. ~Author Unknown . There is no telling how many miles you will have to run while chasing a dream. ~ Author Unknown Have a great day everyone! 4square...praying your Mom is much better today!!!!!!! |

| 4square.........Grab an apple or orange. You should keep your immune system up right now. If you get worn down you will be susceptible to flu that's going around. Baked sweet Potato is good and easy, nuke for 6 minutes. Anything with lots of color. I buy frozen mixed berries, they are low calorie but packed with nutrients. No worry about them going bad if they are in the freezer. Nuke a bag of frozen veggies, I like the ones with water chestnuts and sugar snap peas, yum! Poke a whole in the bag and nuke for 6-7 minutes, if you aren't concerned with nukeing in plastic. Get a box of high fiber snacks like Triscuits (cracked pepper and olive oil flavor are my fav), or TLC snack bars. I got the pumpkin ones with flax seeds, they are pretty good. Or eat nuts, walnuts, almonds, seeds. That will keep you going for a long time! Praying for you and your mom. |

| Not giving up yet until someone shows me that I'm really crazy. People have been juicing for years and grinding the seeds and all from the fruits. I hope I don't lead anyone astray. | Glad your Mom is better. When my Mom was on steroids, she had forced speech syndrome. She told everyone everything that she had retained for 90 years, OY. Plus she would just talk to be talking. It's horrible. |

| Ha Ha, yes. That's the point. It's just enough to kill the cancer cells. If you read the article, it tells that you would have to eat a huge amount all at once for it to hurt you. My know it all brother-in-law says that they are just trying to push the drug on that page. But, I had also heard DR. Don, a Christian medical Dr. who has done a lot of research on this. He has said to eat your seeds on national TV. Whatever, if you feel a check, don't eat them. I will continue. | |||

| I pray for safe travels for Gina and family! OK, I totally believe this, please go check out the site! This is just a small protion. I just ate a granny smith and chewed up the seeds! :) http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-di et/vitamin-b-17-laetrile.htm Vitamin B-17 - Laetrile - Anti-Cancer Properties? The diet of primitive man and most fruit-eating animals was very rich in nitrilosides. They regularly ate the seeds (and kernels) of all fruits, since these seeds are rich in protein, polyunsaturated fats, and other nutrients. Seeds also contain as much as 2 per cent or more nitriloside. There are scores of other major foods naturally, or normally, very rich in nitriloside. Vitamin B-17 (nitriloside, amygdaline) is a designation proposed to include a large group of water-soluble, essentially non-toxic, sugary, compounds found in over 800 plants, many of which are edible. These factors are collectively known as Beta-cyanophoric glycosides. They comprise molecules made of sugar, hydrogen cyanide, a benzene ring or an acetone. Though the intact molecule is for all practical purposes completely non-toxic, it may be hydrolyzed by Beta-glycosidase to a sugar, free hydrogen cyanide, benzaldehyde or acetone. Apricot Kernels (Vitamin B17) Apricot Kernels are the richest source of B17 (Laetrile). Ernst Krebs is the world's leading authority on the relationship between cancer and nitrilosides, and the inventor of laetrile. Apricot kernels are known to prevent and cure cancer, even though the medical establishment has worked night and day and even lied to suppress it. Vitamin B17 is found in most all fruit seeds such as the apple, peach, cherry, orange, nectarine and apricot. It is found in some beans and many grasses such as wheat grass. The hard wooden pit in the middle of the peach is not supposed to be thrown away. In fact, the wooden shell is strong armor protecting one of the most important foods known to man, the seed. It is one of the main courses of food in cultures such as the Navajo Indians, the Hunzas the Abkhasians and many more. Did you know that within these tribes there has never been a reported case of cancer? (And there are doctors and scientists from the U.S. living within these tribes right now studying this phenomena) We don't need to make the seed a main course but we do need the equivalent of about seven apricots seeds per day to improve our odd for a cancer-free life. Other foods that contain vitamin B-17 are: bitter almonds, millet, wheat grass, lima beans and more. (The bitter almond tree was banned from the U.S. in 1995.) The kernel or seed contains the highest amounts of vitamin B17. |

| Melanie....... The other day I ended up with like 1100? cal after I exercised and noticed I woke up the next day starving and seemed to have a strong appetite all day. Yesterday I ate more and wasn't ravinous this morning. I'm going to have to eat a little more and exercise a little more I think to keep from wanting to eat all the time. Lots of water and protien help that too. I bought a lean beef roast and a turkey breast so I could have some good protiens. I ate a whole bag of veggies yesterday. I do that a lot. I get the stir fry kind and just nuke them. Mrs. Dash is good on them. (table blend) |

Good morning all! CC says if I do nothing I should lose weight at 1650 calories a day. read below... You should consume about 1650 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 187 lbs. This is at a reasonable weight loss average of 1.5 lbs per week, which should be reached by March 10, 2009. That is for a sedentary life style. So on the days I don't exercise I will try to stay at or below this number. I don't want to take my calories too low because I think then when you lose it gets harder and harder. Of course, after every 20 pound loss I will recalculate! Here is my size chart (jeans)based on several years ago, ha ha 300-280 size 24 280-260 size 22 260-240 size 20 240-220 size 18 220-200 size 16 200-180 size 14 Of course age and the clothes industry could have changed things for me now. I'm setting small goals, a size at a time. When I get to 260 I will have to start buying new clothes. On page 2, I wrote that my goal for Dec 1, 2008 was a size 16. Maybe it will be a 14! Not sure if I can lose 100 lbs in a year. Anyone out there that knows someone who has, let me know. NOTE: after I wrote that I googled it. http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/diet-fitn ess/can-lose-100-pounds-in-year.html |

| 4square: I will pray for you and your mom. I went through my Mom on too many steroids, wow, that was hard. So I know how you feel. I had 2000 calories today and burned 345 which put me at 1655. I can live with that. Yesterday I didn't have nearly as much and woke up very hungry. It all evens out! Tomorrow I will shoot for a lot less. I drank about 6 glasses of green tea with agave sweetner and several glasses of water. |

| Here is what CC calculated for me, I typed in light activity Calculate Calories Needed for Goal Weight You should consume about 1950 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 187 lbs. This is at a reasonable weight loss average of 1.5 lbs per week, which should be reached by March 09, 2009. Remember that this estimate is based on your body weight, height, age, gender, and activity level. It may vary slightly depending on other factors. |

Hello everyone! I'm Kim. female,47,5'8",size 24 jeans, 289 yesterday My goal is a size 16 jeans by Dec 1, 2008 I was in a 16 jean when I weighed 189 That figures out to somewhere around 8 lbs. a month Can I do it? We'll see! I got some of my info from CC If I eat 1500-1800 cal a day and exercise 20-50 minutes a day and try to stay away from the white stuff, I should be able to do it. I would like to eat 6 small meals a day, easier said than done. More fruits and veggies than breads. I also want to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and 3-5 cups of green tea a day. This is something I found when I studied about metabolism. The water and green tea are supposed to be big helps to speeding up metabolism. I want to do some weight lifting also. That is supposed to help burn more calories. It is hard to tell pounds lost though when gaining muscle so I won't do a lot of it. My big problem is when something throws me off track I don't get back on very quickly. I need you all to call on me when I seem to have disappeared. Thanks! OK, today I ate 1,617 cal and burned 585 cal, 52 min of exercise. Tue, Nov 27 2007 ![]()

References:--Psalm 37:4 Thoughts on today's verse Rather than seeing this as a way to get our wish list granted, let's see it for what it really is -- an invitation to seek a love relationship with God above all other things. In finding him, we will find our priorities properly aligned and our hearts tuned to know what is really valuable and what is not. Then we will see that what we have in him is our heart's greatest desire. Prayer: Awesome and Gracious Father, I confess to you that so often my heart is full of selfish things. But in moments like these, Father, I recognize that you are what I most need and your will is my heart's desire. Please kindle your Spirit in me so that I may see through any selfish, deception that would rob me of having you first in my life. Forgive me when I'm petty, selfish and shallow. May I know you as much as is possible for a mortal to know you, not so that I may be full, but that you may be honored. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.Would you like your own copy of this devotional? |

| Good morning! I see I've missed alot while I was gone. I stayed the same weight for 2 weeks. I really didn't pay too much attention to my weight. Tried to eat light for the most part, but taking care of Mom was a stressful thing and then having her go into the hospital while I was there, well, you get the picture. I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things. Hello to all the newbies. I've missed being on here. But like Dances, feel that I might spend a little too much time at the computer and need to schedule my time better. I'll keep my volume up so I can hear when I've got mail if anyone wants to email me. Love ya, Kim |

| Kat, is this your son Nick? I have a son Nick, 22, he has strayed from God some. I don't know what his prayer life is but he is rough around the edges. I raised him to believe and did and was baptized. But got away from it in college. I believe God will keep after him though. I pray for our Nick's. :) | |||

A Rhema Word References:--Job 5:23 For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field. When I first met my wife, I was impressed to do something rather strange. I decided I would send her a rock in a box with a Scripture verse that describes how God used stones in the Bible. I was going to send it anonymously from a company called Significant Moments. I was going to do this for six months. The final month I planned to send the last rock with a note that said, "The most significant moment was the day I met you." I was going to sign my name on the last mailing. However, before this could happen, the plan was spoiled. I was helping my wife (just a friend at the time) move her furniture. We were exchanging stories about our lives. She began to tell me the story of how she got her name. Her father was an orphan in England, and in England they give orphans different names from their given names. They named her father "Staines." Staines means "place of stones." Not only that, he discovered later that his real name was Malcolm Stones. I nearly drove off the road when she told me this story. My plan was foiled! But my faith was advanced light years. I told her my plan since it would be too obvious now. We both looked at each other in amazement. A month later, I went on a trip. She sent a little gift package along with me with a card that quoted a Scripture from Job. "For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field" (Job 5:23a). It was a rhema word for both of us. God used these times to confirm our relationship. The Bible speaks of the Word of God as living. Rhema is a Greek word meaning "living." Sometimes the Holy Spirit speaks through the living Word regarding a specific situation in which we find ourselves. It is one of those mysteries that God does from time to time. As you read your Bible, be aware of the rhema Word of God. He may speak to you in specific ways you never thought possible. When Heaven Invades Earth God's Power Released Through You The same supernatural power used by Jesus, the prophets, apostles, and New Testament disciples to perform signs and wonders is available to every Christian through the presence of Holy Spirit upon us. By laying a carefully-constructed Biblical foundation for walking in the supernatural power of God and sharing many miraculous stories from his own life and others, Bill Johnson provides in this book the equipping needed to experience signs and wonders today.
