Isn't it funny though when your doctor advises you to loose weight and You look at them and they need to loose as much weight as you do?

Hi Lemntwist,

I think I will stick with the timeline. At least it will tell me what I need to do next.  LOL.   I am here shortly going to start looking around for a wedding dress and see what is out there.

Hello Brides To Be,

I was wondering if I can join your group.  I am getting married next August 16, 2008.  I was very happy to see a chat room devoted to Brides To Be.  I am excited and a little nervous.  I just want to make sure everything goes well.  So far, I have a loation, photgrapher and volunteers to help decorate.  I was getting alot of helpfull hints from your comments and ideas.  Budget is tight but I know I can make our wedding look beautiful.  The photographer that I got is a friend of my mom.  My mom told me that her friend did the wedding pictures for her daughter and they looked beautiful.  An some of my mom's friends have volunteer to help with the wedding.  Right now that is all that I have done.  Pretty soon I need to start look for my dress and a someone to marry us. I will admit my parents are helping out a little bit.  But I am putting money aside  as well to help.   Right now I have a couple of wedding magazines.  There are some very good ideas.  I will admit that some of the wedding dressing in the magazines are dresses that I have dreamt about but will never have. OH Well.  In the magazines it has a time chart on when items should be done.  They are giving me Ideas on when certain items should be done.  Not having been married before, are those charts good idea to stick with?

Hello Andie,

Congrat on your big day.  I know I still have a ways to go, but they say, it will get here before you know.  This might sound silly but as soon as my Husband to be asked me to marry him, the next day I started browsing all over the website for ideas and how to handle a budget.  I couldn't stop thinking about it for the first week.  I came to work but my mind was on my future wedding.  Now things are starting to settle down for now though.  If you would like to join us these last few weeks please do.  Fabulous Job

Hello Raemel,

I am sure glad I am not the only one.  I know exactly what you are going thru right now.  I have join CC going on week and half now.  I was doing great about the first 4 days.  The next 4 days,  I started getting very moody.  I think my body was saying, "What are you doing to me????".  My body was not use to my health eating changing.  I guess they are right when they say it takes a few days for your body to get use to your new healthy ways.  Today was the first day, I felt like I have my energy back.  I have kept up with what I am suppose to do.  Don't worry,  you will wake up in the morning and realize that you have your energy back.  That will tell you your body is getting use to what you are doing.  Keep up the Fabulous Work.

Hi Tootsiegirl,

My big day is August 16, 2008.  I am 5'6' and would like to loose close to 100 lbs. 

Right now I walk 2-3 miles about 3-4 times a week.  I am increasing the miles on my walk.  I am drinking my water everday.  I am also staying around 1400 calories.  I am trying not to go over 1500.   I think it would a cool idea to keep each other informed on how we are doing.  I do believe having someone to talk who has the same goals, is an important thing.  I am game if you are.

Happy Friday aloha2u,

I would love to join the partner group.  I do believe this is an excellent idea.  Keeping each other going is very important.  I can tell you this I am in this for the long haul.  I do have a target in the future:  My Wedding next August. 

Weight;  272.2
Want to loose 100 pounds.  I know I can do this and I believe with the support and partner help,  I can look good in a wedding dress next year. 

My goal today:
walk 1.4 miles during my 30 min lunch
walk 2 miles this evening
Keep drinking my water

I complete my goals last night.  Walk my 2 miles in 30 mins and and drank my requirement of water intake.  I also kept within my calorie intake for the day.

Todays Goals:
Start Drinking Tea in the morning instead of Coffee. 
Walk my 2 miles for the day and also 1.4 miles at lunch
Keep Drinking my water intake.
Make one of the main dish off the web site and make dinner for Chris and myself

Welcome!  Your question about what keeps me motivated?

I will tell you the truth.  I just started Calorie-count .com this past week.  I was in the same boat you are in but with more weight to loose.  What I am noticing for me is that talking with people really helps.  There are people on this web page that know what you are talking about (like me).  If you every want to talk, plz do.  I can tell you this much it does help me.

Hello all from the pacific northwest,

I started back walking about 3 weeks ago and even started a slow jog.  Believe me I know it is hard to start, but once you begin, the energy tripples after a good walk.  You start thinking about when your next walk will be.  For me,  I have been walking 2 miles about every other day.  I now starting to think about extending the walking further.  Somtimes I even walk between  the rain drops.   LOL

Well,  I did a little test when it comes to scales.  I weight myself at the PT office across from my office and I went down to the GOLDS GYM after work and weight myself on their digital scale.  There was a HUGE DIFFERENCE.  The Golds Gym was alot more accurate (Sorry about the spelling) than the house scale on the PT office.  There was a 14 pounds difference.  I trust the Golds gym scale.  I am happy to say the in 3 weeks I have lost 9 pounds!!!!

I am just beginning the adventure of wanting to look good in my wedding dress.  I will be getting married next August.  My future husband told me that I look good the way I am.  He is a very special man in my life.  But I know that weight needs to drop and I am starting it. He says I look good now.  Wait till he see me next August.  hehehehehe

My happy relationship........  I am currently in one right now.  I met my soon to be husband about 3 years ago.  I never thought I would ever meet someone because I was such  work aholic (sorry about the spelling).  I never gave myself a chance for a relationship.  Finally about 5 years ago it dawned on me that I needed a change.  I was getting tired of coming home alone.  I tried everything.  I decided to try online dating.  I always here other people finding their partner online.  Why can't I?   About met my future husband on line about 3 1/2 years ago.  He lived about 1 1/2 hours from where I lived.  We hit it off really well.   Three years later, I am excited to be talking about my wedding. Hey!!!

I was on the verge of stage manager proffessionally (sorry about the spelling...).  I had to turn down my very first 4 figure salary due to burn out.  I couldn't believe I did that.  But you know.  I needed the break.  I love what I did very much.

I use to work at 5th theatre in seattle for about 14 years and LOVE IT!!!  I have seen a lot of musicals.  Classics to brand new one before they are scheduled to go to Broadway.  You might remember Hairspray.  That musical started in Seattle before moving to Broadway and now a movie (which I haven't seen yet.)

I started walking during lunch about every other day about 1.4 mins in 30 mins.  About everyother day I walk around the block at my apartment complex about 2 miles.  I need to do a little bit more changing of walking meaning different location and or different route.

thank you loosingthepounds,

I would like to loose 100 pounds.  I know I can't go cold turkey.  I need to take it one step at a time.  I know I will have some tough days.  Having people to talk with is going to be a BIG help to me.
