I just made some and with the left over juice from cucumber I mixed it with some whole wheat flour, some quick oats, some left over greek yogart ( i used 8oz of 10.8oz for the sauce ),  and egg substitute made a nice lil slight cucumber taste whole wheat and oat pancake.  but a small dab of the sauce on it even though it hadnt set completely and it was quite yum :)

We're starting that now, and her grand father just got put in the hospital for pretty much ultra high sodium, he was sleeping about 20 hours a day and horrible things were happening.  He reduced his sodium greatly and he's 100x better, has lost alot of weight and is awake all day long now

Well she is having water retention issues we think, we havent talked to doc yet but nurse said she thinks she's gaining alot of water weight, she gained 12 lb in 1 month and the doc said it was to much, he thought she just ate to much, but today she checked again and she said she gained another 4 lb in 1 week so she called the nurse and the nurse said reduce sodium intake and if it doesnt help they'll have to give her water pills.  She's worried she'll get toxemia or something because of eating to much sodium, and she has been eating ALOT... Ive been working alot and apparently while I'm at work she's chompin down McChickens all day... so we went and bought a bunch of organic, salt-free, low sodium foods and going to start eating all at home with them but I'm worried she'll be starting to get to little...

Hey, I was about 300lbs and got down to 180lb, had alot of drama and kinda ate my way through it :P so Im back up to 220, but It wasnt to hard to get down to 180 at all.

I just ate right, excerised when I felt I needed too, and it pretty much fell off.  But I think everyone has different needs and results.

I've been trying to do what I did last time again and having a hard time getting back on track, its pretty hard to give up bad foods.

What I did before is pretty much cut out all red meats, any bleached flour products, I ate relatively high protein, most carbs I ate were full of fiber, and fats were good fats from fish or nuts.  I cut out any sodium I could, a great way to cut out sodium is when you eat veggies ( which you should be doing ) make sure if their canned you get no sodium added or organic.

For protein I ate mostly chicken.  You'd be suprised how much you can do with with chicken to not get sick of it.  I ate alot of egg beaters, I'd make a little low carb high fiber wheat tortilla egg beater boritto alot of mornings.

I really like spicy foods and they are supposed to boost metabolism so I made home made salsa alot and made quisadillas with the tortillas and salsa and some fat free cheese and some chicken.

I didnt drink anything but water.

Its gonna be hell to go back to that :D

Im 22, but not a senior in college :P I'm a sophmore. sad I know.  I was stupid as hell and my parents kinda instilled a fear of debt when I was a teenager so I didn't want to rack up loans and they sure as hell didnt help me.  So I worked and went to a 2 year college and got an AS.  I just now started back at college this time a 4 year and doing Electrical Engineering, which is a 5 year degree, and alot of my 2 year colleges credits werent transferable so I was pretty screwed.

Honestly tho, this thread is kinda old and I've been just hangin out with her.  Theres a concert next week I'm wantin to take her to because I know she likes the band, but dun dun dun, gotta be 18 :P so I'm tryin to find some way around that.

I've pretty much made up my mind, just goin with the flow.  Turns out her sister is really good friends with a girl I'm friends with, she found out and called me and was tellin me not to worry about the age thing at all and said she's probably one of the most mature 17 year olds shes ever known, and told me not to worry about her parents because her sister dated a 24 year old guy when she was 17 and they've been together for about 5 years  :P so apparently her parents are used to the notion.

My dads side: Italian and German Jewish ( we're not jewish though )
My Moms side: Irish, scottish, english.

I'm always told I take after my dad 90%.  I have dark dark hair, and as I get older it gets darker, like his did.  But my beard grows red except for my soulpatch directly under the middle of my lip grows black.  Anyone wanna explain to me what that is?  having dark brown hair, red facial hair, and a black soul patch? :P

enchantingimage your reply about the bottom of the barrel thing made me kinda laugh because I know a 18 year old guy who's dating a 15 year old and he is 100% doing that and we all laugh at him over it.
Ive talked to alot of my friends to ask for advise too because they were the ones who told me she was just a Jr in HS.  Every one of them is tellin me to go for it, but they're all guys so thats expected.
But honestly its not as if I couldnt get with anyone else.  I dont want to sound vain or anything because usually I have absolutely 0 luck meeting girls but lately Ive become much more social... but at this moment I really have the choice of 3 girls and she is really the 1 I want to be with just because of her looks, personality, and our commonalities.
One of the girls I dont want to be with that is wanting to be with me at the moment has alot of ex boyfriend problems, she's constantly talkin about her ex boyfriend.  The other one is really great looking but is shallow as a rain puddle, her major in college is... fasion.  So I'm not scraping the bottom of the barrel or anything.  So yea I have pretty much made up my mind but Im still scared as hell over it.

Yea the thing I keep thinkin about is the fact that in just 3 months she'll be 18.  I know plenty of 17 year old college freshmen.  So its not a quesiton of maturity morely of her education status and should that really matter?
I just dont know what fact is more weighted, age or the highschool thing.    Age wise Its not much of a problem because its just 3 months.  But man that highschool thing just creeps me the hell out...

and yea I partially agree with what I think you meant in "but ps. a girl who already is honest with you the first time meeting you, probally wont stay or be honest with you in the futuire."

Yea she was dishonest at first but I liked her reason :P and she owned up to everything after that and she told me about the highschool thing.

0.5g = 500mg

Foods A turkey-free holiday... Nov 22 2007

Udokier, its not that it was a heartfelt view that she felt.  Its a full on vegan activist post.  If we had a tradition of eating nothing but beef, or nothing but fish on any major holiday the topic would have switched to fit the animal.

Like I said previously in the thread, militant vegans love to rub pseudoscience facts in meat eaters faces but completely ignore the fact that the combines and harvestors that harvest their foods kill millions of animals themselves.  And yes thats true.

This wasnt a heartfelt opinion, this was a militant vegitarian recruitment ad by peta.  Also as I said before I have nothing against vegitarians, but militant vegitarians kinda get on everyones nerves with stuff like this post, and things like this.

Also when I say stuff like 'militant vegan/vegitarian' i dont mean all are militant, I just mean the kind of vegitarians that go on a preaching rampage whenever they see someone put something in their mouth they dont agree with.

Love me some kashi.  Everyone else whos ever had my kashi has told me it tastes like cardboard tho :P  I eat very little sugar so I guess thats why it tastes so sweet to me.

Also eat Fiber One sometimes, but usually just use it as breadcrumb replacement, it contains aspertame tho.

What about cannibals.  I dont see any save the humans on here either...

Not to try to flame or anything but quotes like "why not pardon one, too?" kill me... I'm not buying a turkey, but that doesnt mean that theres always going to be one there for me to buy.  Me not buying it isnt saving it, its already dead.  Why try to guilt trip people for buying food?  Why not just say 'buy free range birds' btw.

I have absolutely nothin against vegitarians, in fact I sometimes think it'd be nice to be one just for the health benefits... but posts like this make me want to point out facts that most vegans ignore.  Biggest fact ignored:  Millions of animals are killed through the combines and harvestors their food comes from.

Weight Loss How much should I eat... Nov 20 2007

I've gained about 10 lbs this past week since I upped my cals :P

But eh, I expected I would gain at first because of how little I was eating.  Hopin I start losing again soon tho O_o...  I've kinda cheated on my dieting a couple days this past week tho drank some things that I usually dont drink, ate a donut... :P but thats the limit to what I did badly, and I hadnt cheated previously for about a year.

Mostly what I've changed is changed the lo-carb tortillas to whole grain not lo-carb, their 120cal each instead of about 70, and been eating lots o tuna ;o I loves me some tuna.

I love tuna too, I love it plain, I love it with relish, I love everything tuna.

If I could afford it, the 'very low sodium' kind is kinda expensive, I'd eat 5 cans a day :P Easy lowfat, and the fat that is there is good fat, protein, low sodium if you get the low sodium cans,  and tastes awesome without cooking.

Makin me stare down my 3rd and last can left in the kitchen...
