| I was on Seasonale until my doctor said they stopped making it and replaced it with Seasonique. The only difference is that the pills you take during your period week still have a hormone level in them rather than just being straight placebo's, so when you do get your period it's lighter than it would be usually. I keep forgetting to take my period-week-pills (out of habit) so I don't know if that works the way it should, but I can say that I do LOVE Seasonique. I never had any problems with spotting. | |||

I have two other mag subscriptions that came the same way and I haven't had a problem with them yet :) Of course they haven't "expired" yet either. But it doesn't ask for your credit card or bank information, and after you fill the form out it says that you won't be billed for it. So hopefully it won't turn out to be a disaster :) I do have a friend who got a free subscription to Oprah's magazine and then they kept sending her bills once her free subscription was up, she said it was a pain to cancel. But I don't know if it was done by the same company or not. |

| My friend is a runner and she suggested two websites to me for really good sports bras, I just emailed her to remind me of what they are, I'll post again once she writes back. But I've also heard of people who just double up on the bras when they have a larger bra size (this is what my friend does right now as she's pregnant and didn't want to buy a new bra just for the pregnancy) | |||

Original Post by miso_pretty: The body needs a certain number of calories to function properly, that's why. 980 calories isn't enough especially if there's any sort of exercise involved. |

| Totally agreed. I try to watch what I eat during the week but I allow myself one full day (usually sunday) to eat whatever I want, how much I want. If I didn't, I'd never stick to eating right the rest of the week. | |||

| Fitness | Exercise for 30min vs Exercise for 3 hours | Feb 09 2008 23:38 (UTC) |

| I've wondered the same thing myself sometimes, I have a friend who's obsessed with fitness and is at the gym for 1.5-2 hours every day. Me, I'm in there 5x a week for 30-40 minutes a day. But I"m sweating buckets when I leave and most of the time my legs are jelly so I know I'm pushing myself pretty hard and I feel good about it, even if I'm not going for hours at a time. I do 20 mins of strength training (circuit, no breaks) on mon/wed/fri followed by 15 minutes on the bike or arc, and then on tues/thurs I do 15 mins each on the arc and the bike. I got an initial assessment from my trainer (measurements, body fat, etc) when I started two weeks ago, so I"m going to get another one in two more weeks just to see if what I'm doing is making a difference. Once my bonus from work comes in I'll be signing up for personal training (woot). | |||
| The Lounge | Any phobias? | Feb 08 2008 19:20 (UTC) |

Death is my biggest phobia. I can't think about it for more than 30 seconds at a time or it will throw me into a major anxiety attack. And I've never had anyone close to me die so that hasn't helped with me dealing with it. I want to live forever :( The concept of an infinite universe also freaks me the hell out (weird, I know). Like, if the universe goes on FOREVER. Or if it doesn't, and it has an "edge", what's on the other side?!? Spiders for sure. But that's a common one. lol |

| I'll get into a bathing suit for the first time in four years and feel GOOD in it. I'll let people take my picture without criticizing how wide my face looks. I'll let myself date (maybe, haha) | |||

are you working out or just watching what you eat? I had the same problem, after a week of totally changing my eating habits and busting my butt at the gym, I had GAINED a pound. But part of me knew that it might actually be a good thing. I knew I had been eating well so it was probably muscle gain, not "weight" gain. I knew my scale would just continue to frustrate me so I got rid of it ;) |

| Fitness | how have you surprised yourself lately? | Feb 08 2008 15:10 (UTC) |

| I've only been hitting the gym steadily for two weeks now, but my first day on the arc was a nightmare. I had never used an elliptical successfully for more than 5 minutes, and I pushed myself to do 15 minutes on the arc last week. I had to hunch over and support myself on the front of it for at least half of the workout. But now on week two, there's barely any hunching and I don't feel like I'm going to die when I get off of it. :) It's a small accomplishment but I never though I'd be able to use one of those things at ALL | |||

| I'm 5'8" and I think I'm around 170 but I just put a sticky on my scale that said "free to good home" and put it in the foyer of my condo building (I didn't want to get hung up on the numbers) :) I'm not concerned so much with my weight but with inches and body fat right now. If I wasn't working out then I'd say I'd like to get down to around 145, but with the muscle I'm gaining I'm sure that my weight might not jibe with the clothes that I'd like to fit into! I'd love to get down to a size 8, I'd be very happy with a size 10. Currently I'm a 12(ish). | |||

| I freaking LOVE PAULA. I want her to adopt me. :) I haven't made any of her recipes but every time she's on I try to watch her. Some of her stuff just looks so freaking good. A lot of it is just way over the top but she's so much fun to watch | |||
