| lyssalou76 - I live in Wisconsin too (Milwaukee) and I am also getting irritated with all of the snow talk. I remember the first day that it snowed, and that is all that people talked about at work that day. "Did you hear it's going to snow today"..."Ooh, don't get caught in the snow"..."I hate snow"..."Oh my God, it's snowing"..."We have to shut down everything because it's snowing"... Get over it! We live in Wisconsin, snow happens!
Now, if it's going to be 90 degrees tomorrow, I will want to know about that, but if not, just let it snow! Geez! Warning...the following is not a rant...you have been warned... I have officially moved from the "obese" category to the "overweight" category!!! That may seem like a silly thing to be excited about, but I have been obese for the last 9 years of my life (and I'm only 23), so this is a major accomplishment for me. Molly, thanks for the inspiration. |

| shoeofkuribo -- I started at 3.5 mph for the walking and 5.0 for the jogging. But, I found that once I got into Week 4, I could not sustain 5.0 mph for 5 minutes. So, I jogged at 4.5-4.8 until I could work myself back up to 5.0.
So, I would just say listen to your body because there is no "normal" speed. It's all about what works for you. I hope this helps! |

| Okay, I have been on Week 4 for about 3 weeks, and I have been slowly increasing my speed and had gotten up to 5.0 on the running sections. Then, on what should have been my last day before moving on to Week 5, I couldn't do it!
I did the first 3 minutes just fine, but when I got to the 5 minute part, my legs just stopped working, I felt like they were about to give out. So, I stopped running for that day. I figured that it may have been because I did not drink enough water that day. So, yesterday I drank a lot of water, and tried it again. I couldn't even do 3 minutes! I don't know what's going on, I was fine, and then all of a sudden I couldn't run anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Please help because I am getting discouraged! |

| Okay, Krispy Kreme-gate update. NOW, not only are there Krispy Kremes here, but there is also cake, cookies, brownies, AND.........wait for it..........PIZZA! Someone is seriously trying to knock me off the wagon, I swear this is a conspiracy! But, I am being strong and not eating any of it. More herbal tea I guess... Molly, if you can actually wait until Christmas to weigh-in, that would be great. But, we all know of your unofficial weigh-ins (LOL), so your willpower would have to be super strong. But, I know that you can do it! I, on the other hand would not be able to do it because knowing my body, I would weigh-in 60 days later, be the same weight, and then go insane. Good luck! |

| RANT! Why oh why do Krispy Kreme donuts exists, and why do they have to be sitting TWO FEET away from me right now at work?!?!? Why is it that everytime we do something good at work, they reward us with fattening treats? You know what a real reward would be? PAID TIME OFF! Now, that would be a treat! One donut is only 200 calories, which isn't that bad and could be considered my mid-morning snack. BUT! I am the queen of over-indulgence, and I would never be able to eat just one. I can see it now.... My Boss: "What happened to that whole box of Krispy Kremes?" Me: *licking glaze from the corner of my mouth* "I have NO idea!" Please pray for my sanity and willpower! I am about to drink some herbal tea and pretend that it is a fresh, warm, glazed Krispy Kreme donut....I hope it works! |

| themachine, don't feel like you have to do week 4 according to the plan. Space it out until you feel comfortable moving forward. For example, I did Week 3 for about 2 weeks before I felt comfortable to move on to week 4. I know that I will be on Week 4 for at least 3 weeks, because I know that I do not have enough stamina to run for 20 minutes (end of week 5) yet. 3 workouts a week are just not enough for some people, it is definitely not enough for me! So, I have been doing what I can, at my own pace, and I am definitely seeing results. If I had done every week the way that the plan is designed, I would have quit a long time ago because it would have been to difficult. So, pace yourself, and I promise that you will be able to do it. I hope this helps. Keep up the great work everyone! |

| Well, there's your premise for the show Molly. "No stove, no oven, no clean-up!" People will eat it up! So, when your show's a success, don't forget about the lowly C-C ranter that gave you the idea. I want my money! LOL |

| I agree with mandango, you should have a cookbook, or better yet, a cooking show. You are hilarious and informative. This weekend, I am going to buy some Walden Farms dressing, Almond Breeze, Kashi products, and ground flax seed. I am even going to try upping my veggie/fruit intake as well. AND, I am going to step foot in a Trader Joe's for the first time in my life! All thanks to you. You are a very positive influence, embrace it! *And the Next Food Network Star is.....MOLLY!* |

| "... can I say how much I hate having an UPPER tummy and a LOWER tummy? It's like some sort of twisted 2-for-1 deal .... apparently I have so much flab my body has split it into two adjacent areas of flab .... like twins or something!)" Molly, I am so with you on this...I think I may have even posted a little rantlet about it before. My tummies are going to drive me crazy, I swear! Why can't I just have one? Is that too much to ask? |

| pantera714 -- Good luck, and stay focused. You can do it!
laschndr -- My goal is to run a 5K by next summer. I think that any sooner would be too ambitious for me. I am building up my stamina on the treadmill for now, but I know that once I get outside, it will be a completely different thing. So, I am pacing myself. lrn_298 -- I jog at 5 mph and walk at 3.5 mph. This is what works for me. I tried jogging at a faster pace, but I got tired quickly. The way I figure it, I want to learn to jog first, then I will worry about increasing my speed. There is no point in running 10 mph if I can't sustain it. Has anyone else had problems with week 3? I feel as though I am not ready to move on to week 4 yet because week 3 is still so difficult. I can run for the whole 3 minutes, but I am just so tired afterwards. So, I can't even imagine trying to run for 5! Does anyone have any advice to get through this? Keep up the great work everyone! |

| I love facebook too! I refuse to get a myspace page because I am convinced that myspace is the devil. That website breaks up relationships, man! Anyway, I agree with most of the people here, I liked it better when there were no applications and it was only open to college students. Damn you, myspace! Now facebook has to compete with it.
I remember this one time, during exams, that facebook went down for like 6 hours, and everyone was freaking out! We are convinced that they did it on purpose because they knew that we needed to study. That didn't stop everyone from compusively checking every 5 minutes, though. |

| CJ, I agree with you and I like your enthusiasm! People keep saying, "just go to the store and buy some vegetables," well for some people it's not that easy. I work two jobs and I am in school full-time, so I am constantly on the move. I never have time to cook dinner at home, NEVER. I don't have a refrigerator or a microwave at my full-time job, and I obviously don't have one at school. After a while, granola bars get boring, and I would like to have healthy, quick options that do not break the bank.
I see where CJ is going with this. If more people had this kind of enthusiasm, the world would be a much better place. Good luck CJ! By the way CJ, you mentioned that there is a Jamba Juice in Milwaukee?!?! Where is it? The only one I know of is in Madison, and if there is one in Milwaukee and I am missing out on it, I am going to be very upset! LOL |

| I can rant all day about losing weight in the weirdest places. I have freakishly skinny fingers (I'm talkin' about a size 4.5 ring finger, people). So, I think, "there is no way that they can get any smaller," right? WRONG! I think it's a 4 now! My one little ring is starting to fall off. It used to be a 5, how much smaller can it get before it's just bone?!?!
Also, my face. I have no visible fat on my face whatsoever, yet, everytime I lose weight, my face gets smaller! I'm turning into a reverse bobble-head. I have a bobble-body...or maybe that should be a jiggly-body! My feet are getting skinner too. But, my thunder thighs, double-stomachs, and childbearing hips won't budge! I swear, this is a conspiracy! |
