But i do breathe enough during my workouts...thats the weird thing. I always inhale deeply through the nose and exhale out the mouth..you know everything you're supposed to do. I just don't know how to explain this constant yawning... |

Thank you all for the many helpful replies..and to ofmiceandmoxie, its so nice to know that i am not the only young female that has been abusing them for so long! I really hope we can turn this around, but i know its going to be hard emotionally and physically. Its hard for anyone to understand the fear of seeing a doctor and him telling you that you're going to have to go through some serious form of surgery or something to correct the problem along with the embarrassment of admitting to taking them. I guess im struggling as it is overcoming this eating disorder, and now this is just another hill to climb. I have tried miralax and it took quite some time for it to produce anything...Im also quite the health freak (obviously) so eating plenty of fruits and veggies with lots of water is pretty standard for me. As well is eating lots of fiber. I'm really not sure why its so hard for me to go then, which is why i got addicted to laxatives to begin with. Hmmm, maybe theres something bigger going on here? Hopefully i can overcome this before it ruins my bowels permanently! |

I don't know if this will help you, but i've been trying to get in more protein as well, but since im a vegetarian this is kinda hard. I discovered these "EAS" brand protein shakes that come in 4 packs with several different (delicious) flavors. They come in low carb, 17 grams of protein and only 110 calories each!!! You could drink 2 if you wanted! Like I said, I don't know if this helps but by adding these into my diet i have noticed a difference in the way my muscles are looking...more defined for sure! It's also a great energy kick before a morning workout. I doubt that 110 calorie protein shakes will make you gain, i haven't noticed any gaining since ive had them so...just a suggestion! |

amberr, the problem is that i have seen a professional when the disorder began about a year ago. I've since been through two therapists and both have been a complete failure (long story) After that, I decided the only person i could rely on was myself. So i started eating more but couldnt seem to kick the workout routines. I slowly saw the weight creeping back on and in the beginning got sort of worried because i wasn't used to seeing myself normal again. I'm not gonna lie here- i like being skinny, especially the elated feeling you have knowing you worked so hard to achieve it. The latest meeting i had with my doctor and my mother sort of left the book open. He said that this disorder will follow me throughout my life and you can never beat it. Excessive exercise is something i'll have to live with basically. My parents are aware and thats part of why i'm feeling confused about their lack of care for me anymore. Is anyone in the same boat by chance? I guess i dont know where to go from here, all i know is that im not satisfied with my body right now... |
