My roommate has 8 oclock classes every day, I do not.. Every day, she falls out of her bed (which is bunked on top of mine) waking me up at 6:50 am. She eats these crunchy bars for breakfast that wake me up to her chewing. And her dresser is really heavy and loud. Sometimes the crashing drawers scare me awake.
So basically, I'm always tired. :/ |

I have IBS, so I often have issues with coffee. It makes me gassy and usually gives me diarrhea. I take Allign now though, a probiotic, and it makes it so much easier. Diet coke also did kinda the same thing before. Now, I drink coffee just about every day. I love it! |

thank you guys so much!! so many replies!
I will definately try out different kinds of fruit tea. That sounds amazing! The only tea I ever thought of was iced tea and my mom's green tea, which is way too bitter for my taste! I dont like sweet, but not bitter! :/
And I honestly never thought of diluting juices. Idk why I never thought of that! I will try mixing some to make it less sugary and definately more calorie friendly! I am excited to try these suggestions! Thanks again! |

dirktwolf, are you on birth control? I have a pretty bad case of endo. I used to tell my mom I was going to die from the pain. Since I got on Seasonique I only have four a year, and there are placebo pills with pain reliever. Taking this improved my quality of life greatly. Ask your doc! |

| Health & Support | to the end of my wire with IBS | Jan 27 2009 00:45 (UTC) |

I had blood work sent off just a few days ago for the gluten thing..to be honest, I really hope it is that. I want to know so i can begin to feel better. I have read so many stories of people who have random flare ups and it affects their life in a very negative way. I have been having cramps for a couple days, but I think they might be menstrual related (although that is not supposed to be for a couple weeks cause im on the pill)
I have heard that endometriosis and IBS sometimes go hand in hand. I have endo, so I wonder if it is making my symptoms worse. One day, my stomach bloated out six inches to the front. It hurt so bad. I have kept a food diary for a couple weeks. So far there is no connection. Some days are fine, others are miserable, but the food is always very similar or the same. I hope this isnt the way I have to live the rest of my life |

Bless your heart!! I cant say I have been through anything similar, but I respect your will to get help and finally kick your binging habits. I think the most important thing about starting any healthy eating lifestyle is to know it has to be a permanent thing...try cutting back slowly. I have found drastic changes in my life never stick. Maybe only get two cookies and cut the ice cream out for a while. I found this method helps some people I know who have similar problems. And try adding in a daily walk. Maybe listen to your ipod while you do. Give your mind and body a chance to relax and detach from cravings. Also exercise helps zap my cravings often. Sorry im not much help. We are all here for you!! |

| Health & Support | IBS or something similar? | Jan 21 2009 04:31 (UTC) |
|
I have IBS and to be honest it is miserable!! I have a colonoscopy tomorrow to see if they can find out more. I couldnt eat all day, I have had maybe 300 calories all day. Its terrible.. My symptoms are mainly watery bowel movements, bloating, and gas. I have suffered from these symptoms for about a year, so the best thing I could tell you is if it keeps happening to have a colonoscopy. My doctor seems pretty confident they will know what my problem is after tomorrow. I hope so at least. Cross your fingers! :) |

I usually go at night. Its so hard to go in the morning if I have early classes. I like the way working out in the morning feels though, so I changed my schedule next semester so I can work out in the morning. yay! I am always stressed and pressed for time. Last year the gym became the only time I could relax and focus on just myself and my body. Gave me a new perspective and now I cant not go. haha idk I guess you make time for the things you think are important :) good luck!! |

I was introduced to my boyfriend of two years by one of my best girl friends. I didnt like any guys at my school, and she knew a bunch of people from her school and was really outgoing. She knew I needed to meet someone so she introduced me to one of her friends. I would suggest asking one of your outgoing friends (you know the boy magnet type) to hang out with her and some of her friends. It worked for me! |

1. Can you give me a little background information on you? Where you live, your gender, age, and anything else you'd like to add is welcome :) I live in Birmingham, AL going to college there. I am 2o and female. I am 5'3 and 117 lbs. My goal is 110, or 108. 2. What motivated you to begin calorie counting, and what is motivating (or not) you now? I had tried sugar busters diet, which worked for me the first time, but the scale wouldnt budge after a couple months. I had already been a member of this site, I just was not counting. I liked the idea of trying it because NO food is off limits. If I wanted my favorite alfredo pasta, I could have a cheat day. Or just work out more that day. To me calorie counting encourages portion control and moderation, which is my problem. :) |
