| Hello, I am new as well. First day on the site. I have lots to lose and I've always heard drink lots of water, it will help you. Well, I actually tried that this week. I started incorporating at least 8 glasses of water a day, drinking a glass before my lunch and my dinner meals, making me so full that I don't want to eat. Try that to curb your appetite. Couldn't hurt. Good luck to all of you.

| Hello All,
I jsut started this site so bare with me. I am 35 and weigh 275. I have to be in a wedding in Feb of 2008, what were they thinking. I would like to lose 100 lbs by sept 2008 and am trying to keep a daily intake of 1300-1400 calories per day. I have recently started walking but am having some problems. I can only seem to walk about 1 1/2 miles in about 25 minutes and then I feel so tired. Is this good exercise or should I be doing more? My husband is great but I really don't have anyone to talk to. Please help. Thanks, Terri |

| Like you, I am new at this. Just started as of 3 days ago. I swell up if I eat salt , or drink to much water, that time of the month. I just can't win for losing. But I have started watching my calorie intake. Trying only to do 1300-1400 a day. You see, I am 35, 275 pounds and have always struggled with my weight. Up and down like a yo-yo. I've been doing some reading and started reading up on this Glycemic Index thing and it actually makes alot of sense. you mentioned the watermelon thing and according to my sheet, although watermelon has a higher GI than other fruits, and yes, will make you hungrier later on, it tells you to eat as much as you want because it is low in calories and very good for you. If you have a fax I can send it to you just to help you out with the right foods. Can't hurt. Best of luck to you. Hang in there. | |||
