Hi, Amber. Welcome! Just picture the scale saying 150 and it will! It helps me. I've lost almost 31 lbs recently. You are right to listen to your body and what others want doesn't have to be what you want, so you just do your thing. ") |

What we fear has a way of expanding when we don't face it. Your daughter is going to be just fine- I KNOW it. You are a wonderful mother and everything's going to be alright. So you had a double cheeseburger and fries. So what? You needed to comfort yourself and now you have. Tomorrow you will have more "umph" You will. It happens... Sending my prayers your way... |

Hey, ladies! You both are doing so well! I agree, Misty, you don't have to beat yourself up every time you splurge a little. I know you will get back on track. Penny, same goes for you! I was down 29.8 lbs until TOM reared his ugly head! Now I'm UP 1.2. Well, at least it's just TOM and the scale will go down again soon. No fuss. No fret!

Ooh.. okay. See how much faith I have in you? I thought you were running a 25k! Well, you are right, 60 seconds is a long time to run for someone who is not used to it and you can do eight intervals so you've come a long way! |

Exercise while on a low cal diet will make you retain water. Sounds like your body is fighting you a bit. Be patient. It will come. Oh, and I am now down 14.6 lbs! It's not at a 6 size loss but Im pretty happy with it :) Take care... |

Thanks, Penny. :) Yep, transitioning back to normal eating can be tricky. It's the hardest part of any plan I think. But I think you can handle it! You are one who has wanted this more than almost anyone so, hang in there. You'll do fine. |

Gee, I wonder who funded those double blind tests? Anyway, go to youtube and see all the people who've recorded every stage of their weight loss and read Dr Simeon's manuscript. Sure, Trudeau is a felon but Dr. Simeon was not and he wrote the manuscript over 40 years ago. Trudeau borrowed it but that's beside the point I'm not hear to convert anyone. I just know people who have done it and so I'm going to go with that and all the personal research I've done which is numerous. For every negative study on this there are many more positive examples. :) |

| Weight Loss | Anyone tried the HCg diet? Is it working for you? | Aug 24 2009 00:00 (UTC) |

I'll go further to say that once you are cured this way, you dont really have to work hard to maintain as you might think. Obesity is a disease rooted in the mind and once that is cured you just dont crave that old way. It's not really a matter of will power at all. :) |

I agree smilbie, Anyone who says that you are starving on the hcg diet hasnt read Pound and Inches or spoken with anyone of thousands of people who have been cured by this protocol. They need to do research. Technically, any diet is a form of starvation. So, people in the "just exercise and eat better club" are starving themselves if they are dieting. If the body wants to be fat, it will be or it will fight you with cravings the entire time. It's not a matter of will power as doctors and researchers are becoming more and more convinced of. Hcg protocol isn't a starvation or a diet because your body is flooded by calories the entire time you're on it. The calories from your fat stores. I've read up on it and I suggests other do as well. Hey, ladies :) Thought I'd chime in. Seems I've lost about 5lbs judging by the looser fit of formerly snug clothes. And without dieting... hee hee. You know, I just read that dieting causes you to lose structural fat before you lose the fat on your thighs, belly.... (places where you WANT to lose fat) because your body actually resists weight loss after the fat programs have been triggered. That's why after losing weight people will have hanging skin and be bony in places like the face etc. but still have too much fat on those problem ares and why I hear women say they lose their boobs before anything else. Interesting, huh? So, that adds a bit of comfort just knowing that this is a biology thing and we're not necessarily doing anything wrong. There is a way to un-trigger those fat programs and I'm going to figure it out and when I do.. I will definitely share. Until then, all my lovely ladies... keep on keeping on ... may the force be with you hahaha.. Love... |

Hola, everyone... Good luck at weigh in penny! Hi Misty... glad you're still around;missed ya! Oooohhhh... don't get me started! Men objectify women and it makes me sick. Having said that, they can't really help it BUT they can keep it to themselves! What I do when some random guy is checking me out and I don't want to be bothered is give them a dirty look (which you cant do online) or ignore them (which can be perceived as a challenge but they usually get the point.) You sound just like me. I've had to teach myself to be flattered when men check me out, but there is a limit. I love men, but only the ONE can OGLE me, right? So, I guess take it as a compliment, but if you dont like it you dont like it. Limits. Hahah... okay done with my tangent... you ladies keep working hard and take care of you. Love... |

Flat front pants. Some even come with a built in tummy slimmer. Try structured materials like denim which keep you in. Also, support undies can be bought almost anywhere. A nice supportive undie can act like a bra for your bottom half. |

Well, my pouch is alive and well. But I can relate to the boob shrinkage. They're always the first thing I lose when I lose weight, too. :( That's me Ms. big belly flat chest. Haha. Well, I exaggerate, but I noticed that people who have the pooch have it for good biological reasons. For instance, my ancestors came from a part of the world where wild animal attacks were common but running away wasn't an option. Thus, the reason my body thinks keeping fat on my stomach will protect my vital organs. If only my body understood that it's 2009 and animals don't attack people anymore. Sigh. Good Luck.. Don't be tooooo hard on yourself.... |

Hey, you guys still here? Haha. Howdy. All I can say is Wow- Penny, looking slim... Luna, Misty, iechris, Annie, you all seem to be meeting your goals. Hi, Amy. I'm still hanging in there. My efforts are taking a bit longer because I'm working it from the inside out. Lots of self-help and exercise with some nutritional adjustments, but no diets for me. Which I guess makes me ineligible for this site? But, whatever... I like seeing you guys make progress. I know I will make progess when I'm ready. I'm healthy and thats what important. Here's to fixing the problem... See ya... |

Hey all... Same as Misty... nothing new to report here. I'm being very active and having a great summer so far :)
Penny... people are "funny" that's a nice way of saying it, huh? I've been there many times. People who cannot be happy for me cannot be in my life either. :) Remember... you can never be fat enough to make someone else slim and you can never be sad enough to make someone else happy. Blessings to everyone... Love... |
