Original Post by andesite: My motivation went downhill after my sons got sick and then my workout partner got sick, then I got sick...and now it has been pretty much a rollercoaster of staying healthy for all of us ever since October :( Hopefully after the cold/flu season passes we will all be healthier and I will have my energy and motivation to get back again! |

8. littlebytes: 18.6 lbs to go!
I'm pretty much stuck at the same range...was down to 142.2 last week but went back to the mid 140's again...will I ever get out of the 140's?? I have been lazy about counting calories and working out...so that is probably my problem. I need more time and motivation! |

I didn't do too well keeping track of my water intake, but I do try to drink enough water throughout the day since I am nursing my seven month old. I will try to do this weeks challenge with situps and stretching. I'm not sure how many I will do or how long it will take but hopefully I can spare the time with the kids. At least the scale was down to 142.2 this morning! |

I have rechecked this post on snopes..since I read about it in another forum I am in...and it turns out this was an email hoax posted online awhile ago... http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/n/nutras weet.htm http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/aspartam e.asp sorry for any alarm or confusion...although I still would rather not digest these chemicals myself. Nobody really knows the long term effects of this stuff...

| This looks like a pretty motivated, supportive and active group. Is there room for a newbie to the group? I'm stuck in the mid 140's lately and haven't had the motivation to workout the last few weeks...maybe some of you can inspire me. I'm trying to lose the baby weight and get back to pre-preg of 130-135 and then pre-marriage weight of 125. Thanks for any support and tips! | |||

Congratulations! I am dying to get out of the 140's! I've never been in the 140's except during pregnancy and post pregnancy...I just had a baby six months ago...and am now stuck in the 140's...but trying to get back to the 120-130's. Any tips or motivation for the rest of us? How often did you workout? What was/is your routine? How did you stay motivated? |

| Weekends are bad for me too cause my husband is around and he likes to make a nice big breakfast for the family on Saturdays. Then the rest of the weekend I tend to eat more than I normally do during the week, especially if we go out somewhere or to a family function. This past weekend I really over did it and instead of losing a pound I nearly gained a pound back |

Fiber One cereal with strawberries and 1% milk and a 16 oz glass of water...my usual breakfast...Mon-Fridays...~211 calories total.
You all eat pretty healthy..I'll have to try some ideas.

| I'm also nursing and losing weight! I've lost 5 pounds counting calories and watching what I eat. I eat no less than 1800 calories, which is minimum while nursing, but usually around 1900 sometimes more. Nursing allows for about a 500 calorie burn so you have to manually add that into your daily activities on here. If you need more info check my journal for resources or contact me. | |||

| Interesting question..here's what I found...
When you consume fewer calories than your body needs, your body turns to fat for energy. Body fat is broken down through a series of complex metabolic processes. Your body uses the energy produced by these processes. The waste products from these processes are water and carbon dioxide. You excrete water primarily through urine and sweat, and carbon dioxide by exhaling. |

| I have a similar problem, but I am 38 and a nursing mom. I try to maintain at least 1900 calories a day since I am nursing (1800 is recommended minimum) but some days I am just not hungry enough to eat that many calories even with the nursing. Even when I was exercising 3-4x per week I would still feel tired. The only time I felt like I had more energy was right after a workout but then I would still go to bed and wake up tired...and am still tired most days now. It sucks cause I have a three year old to keep up with during the day as well as my six mos old nursing son. I guess it's just my old age?? |
